Any time a left wing source has an article which designates a group as ´a gang´ it´s time to be suspicious. When does Politico ever refer to dems as a ´gang´?

There are some fights we can win and some fights that leave us bloodied and beaten on the sidelines, having accomplishing nothing. Deciding that the only way to cure/stop/remedy illegal immigration is to find them, gather them up and send them home is one of the fights we cannot win. That Marco Rubio is looking for a solution that attempts to fix some things, compromises on others and creates workable programs is to his credit. The accusation that we must not look for a way to reassure legal Hispanics with an immigration reform that works because they will "never vote for us" is a really good example of how we have lost the legal Hispanic vote. These good people are not our enemy.

I guess we don´t need 100 senators. All the country needs is a gang.

No more secret deals and 2,000 page bills that have to be passed before we know what´s in them. Debate the issues on the floors of Congress as was intended.

I hold our congress (going back decades--and that´s how long many of them have been there) accountable for the illegal alien invasion. They turned their collective backs on existing laws regarding such.

Vote all bums out, and start over with true conservative, non-career-seeking, electeds (I almost said politicians).

Republicans need to be more inclusive and find an immigration solution and a reason for Hispanics to join the party. If they can´t or won´t they´re history. Remember, the Hispanics will become the largest voting block in the not to distant future.

Let the illegals stay here as long as they want. Don´t give them drivers liscenses, health care, free education or any of the benefits of a citizen. Fine businesses that hire them and take away welfare and food stamps from people that refuse to work. Tell the mexican gov to suck eggs as they self deport.

#5 Conservatism is inclusive when it is articulated. The challenge is to find a real one with a desire to speak rather than look for a senatorial tenure retirement package.

AND as soon as someone erupts from the morass described as the inside the beltway crowd, the press and the forum participants can´t wait to tell all us ignorants that the current flavor is putrid in some minute way.

In the mean time gutless conservatives will contentedly commission liberals to define them without arguement.

Once again many posters are saying move Left and the GOP might win. If the GOP makes many more Left turns they will pass the Democrats.

Marco Rubio is a RINO as John McCain is a RINO as Lindsey Graham is a RINO, ETC. ETC.

Keep bringing along the lil RINOs. Such as Christie, whose RINOism prompted a poster here in the past couple of weeks to apologize to those of us who said all along that Christie is a RINO.

Live and learn, live and learn. But you won´t win over conservatives when you continue to prop up obvious RINOs and ask they be given "time" to dig in their heels for untold numbers of years in Washington.

#2 & #5 Hispanics have NEVER voted in large numbers for Republicans-ever not even for Reagan and he granted them amnesty! Look up the numbers, the GOP will never get the Hispanic vote and selling out this country trying to buy their votes only hastens the destruction of it.

Of course illegal aliens can be and should be deported. They should not be in this country at all! Most of them are disgusting and/or dangerous. President Eisenhower deported them. Other countries deport them. Look at Mexico´s dealing with illegal aliens.

I hope the House will stand up to this dangerous measure that will only destroy this country.

The Dems don´t care about citizenship.

La Raza will vote just fine the way the system is right now.

We should have "comprehensive" reform to make our immigration policy mirror the policy of the person´s home country.

If they come from Mexico, then they face Mexico´s harsh policy applied to them.

If they were born in Canada, then they face Canada´s more lenient policy.

Please note...the country they were born in, not the country they were traveling through just prior to settling here--or getting caught.

While living in Southern California I have personally known a first generation (his parents immigrated and still own land in Mexico) Mexican-American (my husband´s Best Man) and a third generation Mexican-American from Colorado. Both told of family travails working their way through the immigration system, and both felt that anyone not following every rule the way they/their parents did did not deserve to avoid deportation. One was a Republican, the other I´m not sure, but both were conservative business owners.

For Marco Rubio to live through and know what his parents endured on their "path to citizenship" and betray their hard work by pushing rewards for people who choose to thumb their noses to our entire system of laws makes him, in my book, unworthy of further office.


Any and every person who refuses to make the very important distinction between a legal immigrant and a criminal alien invader is either an idiot or a liar...take your choice.

Rubio has sold the GOP down the river and not a peep about this at Drudge or on Hannity or even on the Must Reads. Amnesty for 20 million illegal "immigrants" -- -- they´ve broken immigration laws, tax laws, customs law, labor laws, they´ve committed perjury in many cases and now they´re to be granted US Citizenship by decree thanks to our corrupt politicians and media. That´s absolutely revolutionary.
