Keep your guns,

It´s not about guns; it’s about keeping control of your life. The gun control “war” launched against American citizens and the Constitution this past week by the elites in Washington, D.C., is most certainly not about keeping little Bobby and Mary Jane safe in school. (Snip) This past week, with great showmanship, Obama squeezed the kids like triggers; he fired them like little emotional bullets into America’s heart to disrupt your ability to think clearly about what is happening to our country.

Comments:
Outstanding column. Tom Skoch stands tall with the Founding Fathers. We can only hope that members of Congress will do the same—most especially Republicans.

Do not register your firearms!
Use demonrat logic, and declare them
"Undocumented"

"Don’t give an inch."

With today´s laws, a person with a history of psychotic breaks can´t even voluntarily get his name on the "do not sell" list unless a judge has ordered his involuntary hospitalization. So don´t act like all the current gun laws are perfect

The federal government has become THE great enemy of our freedom -- not the Taliban, not Russia, not China. The federal government has become the devil.

Do not register. Do not submit to confiscation. No matter what -- resist.

Don´t let the camel´s nose under the tent!

In many states the camel´s nose is already too far under the tent. It needs stomped on a few times to make it back out.

I expect that all guns will be taken by authorities to check if they are "in compliance with the law." They might be returned in due time.

Obama, being in the ever adoring DC media bubble, thinks he has the whole country behind him except for a handful of rednecks who could easily be rounded up if necessary. The truth is there´s tons of blue collar dems who believe in the 2nd amendment also and they´ll stop new stupid laws from being passed.
Then again,Obama´s always looking for an excuse to unleash his imperial presidency.Even though,he´d face a slew of court challenges. the SC has upheld gun rights many many times and would do so again.

US Court Denies German
Home-Schoolers Asylum

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Obama administration´s refusal to grant asylum to the Romeike family. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder filed against the family, arguing that asylum should not be granted because home schooling isn´t a fundamental right protected under religious freedom. The Romeikes fled Germany in 2008 facing criminal prosecution for home schooling. In 2010, they were granted political asylum by immigration Judge Lawrence Burman, but his decision was overturned by the Board of Immigration Appeals last year. On Tuesday, the three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit issued a unanimous decision against the family.

German home-schooling
family fights to stay in US

While the White House and many lawmakers push to grant legal status to immigrants who crossed the border illegally, the Romeike family thought they followed the rules -- but now face deportation. They are devout Catholics who emigrated from Germany in 2008 to home school their six children in Tennessee. As Uwe Romeike told Fox News, it is illegal to do that in Germany. (Snip) The U.S. granted the Romeikes political asylum, but in 2010 the Justice Department intervened, ruling that home-schooling could not be used as grounds to seek citizenship.

Need leaders worthy of respect

Respect for authority was one of the key concepts drilled into me as a child by my parents, who came of age in the Great Depression and then endured the rigors and discipline demanded by World War II. The inclination to respect authority stuck with me while many others in the Baby Boomer generation began to raise hell on the streets and inside of families, challenging parental and social authority. Having said that, the corollary of respecting authority is the expectation of being treated with respect by others, all the way up to our national leaders.

Here’s a riddle, but it’s not funny, and I’m almost afraid to contemplate the answer: What do you get when you cross aggressive government attempts to strip citizens of their Second Amendment rights with at least 65 million American gun owners, who have just bought roughly 65 million more guns in only the last four years? Let’s just say, “trouble” could be a euphemism for an answer. (Snip) Why are our government “servants” — elected and otherwise — trying to criminalize law-abiding taxpayers with confiscatory and unconstitutional laws and regulations?

Obama should emulate King

If ever a confluence of significant events called Americans to a day of sober reflection, it is Jan. 21, 2013. On that date, we mark the Inauguration of a president; the start of Barack Obama’s second term in the White House. And we also observe the annual Martin Luther King Day memorial to the nation’s revered civil rights leader. Fifty years ago, when King proclaimed his civil rights Dream, it was all but unimaginable that the nation today would not just have a black president, but would be returning him to the White House for a second term.

Ironies abound when you look back over this past week’s White House effort to take firearms out of the hands of most everyone except the armed bodyguards of all the bloviating bigshots who think you’re too dumb or unimportant to have a gun to protect your family. At the order of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden’s taskforce held a couple of days of talks on various sides of the gun issue. (Snip) A White House presspool report that came to me quoted Biden supporting “universal background checks, not just closing the gumshoe loophole.” Gumshoe loophole?

Officials on Benghazi:

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Lew asks Congress for debt increase,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

Rep. Issa subpoenas Benghazi

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
