| In a disturbing indicator of how wealthy the D.C. political class is becoming by extracting taxpayer money from the rest of the country, Lamborghini moved its North American headquarters to the D.C. region because it saw the city as having the most potential for growth. Peter Schweizer, the president of the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI), said this was a "troubling" development Friday in "Boomtown," an explosive one-hour investigative special that aired on Fox News´ Hannity on Friday. Schweizer said it was incredible Lamborghini's headquarters

Comments: Another inconvenient fact that highlights the reason why both Democrat and Republican parties never seem to be able to cut spending. The tragedy is that at least the democrat party is upfront about wanting more taxpayer money to facilitate more spending. The Republican Establishment has been playing its believers like a fiddle. Too bad for them that many conservatives will no longer be dancing to the tune.
Of course the fan club will always be dancing in the isles. Who do you is making money off the concessions..

This show is very revealing...almost as revealing as the photos of the Inaugural Luncheon with all the crystal, linen, china, flowers, and silver. Did you read the luncheon menu that Moochie Obama was shoveling into her maw? (That woman didn´t swallow one bite before she shoved in another!) Talk about elite-and criminal, that would be they!

I can´t tell you how cheered up I am by this story as I contemplate my plan to go change the oil on my 13 yr old truck. Oh well, at least I´m contributing to the wealth and happiness of the beltway. What else matters?

The "Boomtown" program lays bare the knowledge that the so called politically informed who sit on "the panel" during Bret Baier´s show know all about Boomtown, and how the political elite permanent ruling class system works, yet not a peep escapes to the rest of the country.
All of the "talking heads" shame America and the taxpayers who can barely hold their lives together. Throw them all out.

May I request these "Boomtown" articles about D.C. and the wealth extraction be put in must reads? This information needs wide dissemination. Breitbart is here, there and everywhere now.
I´d like to see the real robber barons exposed.

A good enough reason to impose term limits on these scoundrels. I don´t believe our Founding Fathers had in mind an entrenched elite with virtual lifetime sinecures ruling the country. I believe Maryland ranks near the top in numbers of millionaires. D.C. would be shockingly high too but for the number being dragged down by inner cit poor. Hrumph.

Hannity´s Boomtown is being airing again tonight on FOX. If you missed it Friday, try and catch it tonight. I don´t care which side of the aisle you are on, it should make you mad. We are all being played.

How about an interactive Google map of Lamborghini owners in and around DC. Add party affiliation and occupation.

Does it stand to reason they would ´follow the money´ ? Did we not read last week that the money is in DC ?
Nobody seems to care that many of our lawmakers were on the verge of bankruptcy and couldn´t pay their taxes, but are now millionaires.

Is there anyone remaining with an IQ above room temperature who actually believes that the Republican Party believes in limited government, as defined by the U.S. constitution? If so, they have either been hibernating or have been in complete self-denial. Every election cycle the Republican Party counts on its “conservative base” to dutifully turn out and mark their ballot for whatever candidate has been selected by the GOP leadership. We are told ad infinitum that doing so will keep the Democrat liberal demons from furthering their agenda. The inside-the-beltway establishment has been chanting this mantra for years

Former George W. Bush chief political strategist Matt Dowd continued to try to diminish Sarah Palin and conservatives by once again making false claims about the former Alaska governor. On Sunday´s "ABC´s This Week," Dowd assailed CPAC for, in his mind, lessening its credibility by inviting conservatives like Palin and not liberal Republicans favored by the northeastern elite like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. “CPAC, to me, has totally diminished its credibility as an organization,” Dowd said

People continually complain that with the different faces who have disgraced the Offices of the President and Vice President, the one hundred (100) seats within the Senate and the four hundred thirty-five (435) seats within the House of Representatives, nothing improves for the masses, only for those who are elected and special interests. This is frustrating and we need to assess why, so we can change this ‘continuing resolution’. It appears that the GOP and the Democrat Party have merged.

For the past several years, congressional Republicans have focused relentlessly on a single message: Washington — led by President Obama — is spending too much money, and it needs to stop. But according to new Washington Post-ABC News polling, that laser-like focus isn’t helping Republicans win the argument over federal spending — with 67 percent of those tested disapproving of the “way Republicans in Congress are handling federal spending.”

Demographics are destiny. Nothing else makes history. When the changes ahead are shipped into denial is when chaos and disaster ensue. And the potential disasters America faces today do not come from global warming, nuclear weapons, the Russians, the hippies or the rednecks. They come from the economic division of America between the red states, which are rising in capital and prosperity, and the left and right coasts, which are receding in economic power. Demographer Joel Kotkin well outlines the transition in a Wall Street Journal essay yesterday title, “America’s Red State Growth Corridors.”

Sophomore U.S. Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas, graduated first in his class at West Point, graduated from Harvard Law School, had a hugely successful career in the aerospace industry, and also has a think-tank background. He may be a seriously rising star. Anyway, he put out a self-explanatory press release that is a beauty to behold. Take that, Mr. Obama! Today, White House Spokesman Jay Carney asked during a press briefing what Congressman Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas, would say to defense workers facing furlough because of the President’s sequester plan. The following is his statement:

Senator Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) has been front and center during the latter days of the sequestration showdown, which is good, because he literally wrote the book on government waste. He produces a new edition of his “Wastebook” every year, chronicling the most absurd abuses of taxpayer money. It is wise for Republicans to bring up these horror stories when Obama is racing around the country and insisting that a 2.3 percent reduction in the rate of government growth means we can’t have firefighters or border security. Coburn’s Wastebook should be every American’s indispensable manual

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You are the mantle of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington and Ralph Bunche and Langston Hughes and George Washington Carver and Ralph Abernathy and Thurgood Marshall and, yes, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These men were many things to many people and they knew full well the role that racism played in their life. It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

Washington – Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO, issued a video statement Friday in response to reports that the Internal Revenue Service unfairly targeted conservative nonprofit groups. (Snip) “There’s a reason Lady Justice wears a blindfold in America. That is because in America, we don’t apply the law based on who you are, who you know, or what you believe. We apply the law equally.” “We should not only fire the head of the IRS, which has occurred, but we’ve got to go down the line and find every single person who had anything to do with this and make sure

"Can you see in your mind´s eye a way that this might not have been political, that this was a misguided stupid way to sort, but that they didn´t intend it to be some kind of political attempt to harass the Tea Party?" So actually asked CNN´s Candy Crowley of her guest Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) concerning the Internal Revenue Service scandal Sunday (video follows with transcript and commentary):CANDY CROWLEY, HOST: Moving on to the IRS problem at this moment, which is really sort of in its infancy. There will be lots more hearings coming up this week
