Boehner: Bipartisan Support in
House for Immigration Reform

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Tony Lee

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 1/27/2013 9:45:15 AM

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said there "basically" is a bipartisan agreement already for immigration reform in the House. President Barack Obama will unveil his plan for comprehensive immigration reform on Tuesday. Boehner made the comments last week at the Ripon Society. "I think there’s a bipartisan group of members that have been meeting now for three or four years," Boehner said. "Frankly, I think they basically have an agreement. I’ve not seen the agreement. I don’t know all the pitfalls in it, but it’s in my view, the right group of members.”

How about we stop bowing down to lawbreakers and giving them free stuff?
I deeply resent people who come here uninvited and then demand special favors from the populace.
I have reached the point where I scream DEPORT them..ALL of them..figure out a damn way, just DO IT!

What, exactly, needs "reform"? Our open-borders policy? Our "do not prosecute or deport" policy? Our spineless refusal to hand out welfare AND health care to illegals?

I can understand that Hispanics who want to work and have been here (illegally) working and paying taxes and raising their own children without government handouts should remain here. But how does one even begin to determine which of all the illegals are doing that?

I can understand that the growing numbers of Hispanics will vote for the Party that gives them stuff which means the GOP is losing that many voters, but do you just adopt the profligate entitlement spending Democrats do in order to get votes?

Practically speaking, we cannot afford to lose that many millions of votes but human nature being lazy and greedy as it is, how do you attract lazy and illegal immigrants?

They´re not even coming here to work any more. They´re coming for the welfare. How do you fight that? So long as Democrats give out freebies the the GOP doesn´t, we lose millions of votes, like it or not.

Anyone?

Yes, the only reform needed is to ENFORCE the LAWS on the books. There is basically no need for any new laws for any subject if the current laws were enforced.

Playing usual Dem-light role.
How about securing borders first.
There is an overwhelming support for simple solution which is: first border security than reform.

Yes, the Republican poobahs will hammer in the final nail to the Republican coffin, thinking this will buy them Hispanic votes. All they´re doing is giving the Democrats another 11 million voters.

For the zillionth time - -

Immigration is not a problem. In fact - - it´s a blessing.

The problem is the welfare state, you blubbering twit. Stop being the tax collector for the welfare state - - and defund and eliminate it.

Sheeeeesh!

Mr. Speaker...Have you ever taken time out of your busy beltway schedule to sit down and actually read TITLE 8 SECTION 1325 of THE UNITED STATES CODE? A clue...it deals with improper entry by illegal aliens!

So once again we will legalize a few million more Democrat entitlement voters, make some limp wristed attempt to ´protect´ our borders and swear we will never do it again. The Federal Government has completely ceased to care what their constituents care about. Just get them elected on their lies, entrench them in the Washington swamp and they will do whatever they want.

Reply 15 - Posted by: MrYules, 1/27/2013 11:35:45 AM     (No. 9142291)

There is only one political party in the Unites States today. It has an aggressive openly dictatorial "wing" ("progressive", "democrat", liberal"...) and a slyly craven "accommodating-to-dictatorship" "wing" ("republican"). There is no "choice".

The day is fast approaching when the word ´bipartisan´ is going to cost these people at least their jobs.

Reply 17 - Posted by: Cleanhousein2012, 1/27/2013 11:46:54 AM     (No. 9142313)

The questions the repubs should be asking: will we get more votes from the illegals we let in, or the Americans who won´t vote for the Repubs if they "legalize" the illegals.

When you hear "bipartisan" and "immigration reform", you need to hold on to your wallet. There is no way this isn´t going to cost taxpayers a boatload of cash.

BASICALLY, Speaker Boehner is a giant dissappointment. The inability to stratagize and the seemingly lack of desire to fight for even their own rights as members of the House of Representatives is shameful. They are allowing the legislative branch of the government to become almost inconsequential. When Progressive Republicans decide to stop bad-mouthing their fellow Conservative Republicans and enthusiastically form a cohesive party that respects it´s new members and ALL American citizens who believe in our Constitution and our traditions, maybe then our party will have a chance to turn this up-side down world right-side up again. Obama knows exactly what he is doing. He is not a "nice man who is in above his head". I truly belive Enemy, thy name is Obama.

I thought Boehner said he regretted what he already has done. Now he is back to no regrets. He is set to destroy America by letting in 100 million Mexicans.

WASHINGTON — Haynes Johnson, a pioneering Washington journalist who won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the civil rights movement and migrated from newspapers to television, books and teaching, died Friday. He was 81. The Washington Post reported he died at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. In a statement to the Post newsroom, Managing Editor Kevin Merida said Johnson died of a heart attack. Johnson was awarded a Pulitzer in 1966 for national reporting on the civil rights struggle in Selma, Ala., while with The Evening Star in Washington. He spent

The FBI has arrested a San Antonio man on charges he lied to get into the United States and tried to get a sensitive Defense Department position. Wissam Allouche, 44, appeared for an initial hearing Friday afternoon, and shook his head when U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad read the charges leveled in a federal indictment. The judge ordered him held pending a bail hearing and his arraignment Tuesday. “He allegedly tried to cover up his affiliation with Hezbollah,” said special agent Erik Vasys, spokesman for the FBI in San Antonio. “It is believed

A FREE press in a democracy demands a delicate balance. The First Amendment means the media must have the right to inquire without hindrance. The government has a legitimate interest in keeping some national security information secret. When these come into conflict, the balance often has been struck this way: The media are free to pursue secrets, but it is up to those in government to keep them. When the media come into possession of information that, if disclosed, could be damaging, the government can plead the case for secrecy — and the media generally are open to persuasion.

The brutal murder of an off-duty soldier by two Muslim activists continues to dominate the news in Great Britain. The scene was utterly bizarre: in broad daylight, in a busy section of London, the two Muslims apparently ran the soldier down with a car, within a block or two of his barracks, and then attacked him with knives and a meat cleaver. They attempted to behead him, apparently not quite successfully, as hundreds of passers-by looked on. No one stopped them–private ownership of firearms being illegal in the U.K.–but three random women

A day after insurers complained that Kathleen Sebelius and the Obama administration had pressured them to fund Enroll America, a House committee sent them a request for more information on the matter. The Energy and Commerce Committee had already begun looking into whether Sebelius had broken any laws by attempting to get donations from an industry that will be heavily regulated by her under ObamaCare, and now The Hill reports this new request as a widening of that probe (via Rare): House Republicans have widened their probe of Health and Human Services

President Obama delivered an address today at the National Defense University called “The Future of our Fight Against Terrorism.” Actually, part of the speech was about the past, including much self-congratulation and some shots at President Bush. This part of the speech is revisionist rubbish. As Max Boot explains: Obama said, for example, that after he came into office, “we unequivocally banned torture, affirmed our commitment to civilian courts, worked to align our policies with the rule of law, and expanded our consultations with Congress.” Umm, actually all of that happened in Bush’s second term.

In seventy lugubrious paragraphs, President Obama today asked America whether as commander-in-chief he should bomb terrorists. He concluded that sometimes he should, and sometimes he shouldn’t. He couldn’t quite make up his mind. Therefore, he would appoint a panel to advise him. Mr. Obama has already authorized more than 200 such drone bombings. His staff has bragged that before ordering a bombing, he personally reviews who lives and who dies. Imagine if Prime Minister Churchill or President Truman had appeared on television to announce an advisory panel before bombing our enemy. We would be appalled

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
