A gun show without guns? Essentially
Chicago Tribune, by Dahleen Glanton

Original Article

There was an 1854 Lefaucheux pinfire pistol carbine on display, as well as an 1876 .22-caliber derringer in a glass box. But neither was for sale. It wouldn´t have mattered if they were. The gun enthusiasts who showed up in Rosemont on Friday for what was billed as the first-ever Chicagoland Gun Show didn´t seem interested in gawking at antique pistols. Some wanted to buy high-powered rifles, semi-automatic handguns and high-capacity magazines. But there wasn´t a single gun dealer at the show, only a Chicago collector who said he was there to show off his collection.

Comments:
Obozo has done such a good job of selling guns that they cant even have a gun show in suburban Chicago because the local dealers are all sold out of guns and ammo,so they had to return the entrance fee of the people who went to the gun show.
Obama should be awarded the guns and ammo and NRA membership salesman of the year!

The show´s sales executive, Levine, doesn´t have a clue about what he´s selling. No wonder it´s such a bust.

I´m sure the hall was filled with Southside gang members buying their guns from dealers that required an Illinois FOID card and background check. You know, like the 4 dead on Saturday night.

You can buy the shares of Ruger, Smith and Wesson and Olin to hedge against increased prices of ammo and weapons. Our local gun shops are out of everything.

I attended the Allentown, Pa gun show yesterday.
I arrived 25 minutes before doors open, and the line was about 50-60 deep outside. By the time the doors opened, I could not see the end of the line over the hill(about 400 yards).
Ammo was available, but .40 S& W was going for about $0.75 cents a round (bought same online for $0.42 online.
AR´s were selling like hotcakes, and the third table in had 5.56/.223 magpul and aluminum magazines and was the hottest table in the show. Magpuls were $30 for Gen 2 and $40 for Gen 3, aluminums were $20, time to stock up (all packaged new for storage).

There are ´gun shows´ going on all over Chicago. The trouble isn´t finding them - the trouble is surviving them.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) – Tony Stewart told anyone who would listen why he continued racing anywhere, anytime, regardless of purse or crowd or car. Even after he flipped five times last week, Stewart was quick to offer a stout defense for his short-track weeknight racing while some questioned if his extracurricular racing was putting his championship chances in NASCAR at risk. Well, his championship chances are officially over for this season. The three-time NASCAR champion broke his right leg Monday night at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa

Which United States president will go down in history as the greatest humanitarian to have served in the office? The Republican Herbert Hoover is often known as the "Great Humanitarian" for his work administering famine relief in post-World War I Europe (and Bolshevik Russia) in the 1920s — but he did all that before he actually became president. Others might make the case for Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the Democrat who succeeded Hoover in the White House, whose New Deal initiatives relieved poverty and sickness on a grand scale within the United States.

Four shootings -- two of them double homicides -- and a stabbing left 7 people dead Saturday, authorities said. In what appeared to be the last homicide of the day, a 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed about 11:50 p.m. in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, police said. Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you
