| It´s hardly a secret. After all, in a letter to a senior officer, no less than a young Bill Clinton openly admitted that many of his cohort to "loath[ed] the military." Still, it´s stunning to hear a modern-day liberal make a similar admission. On her MSNBC show today, Melissa Harris-Perry stated that the U.S. military is "despised as an engine of war by many progressives." View the video after the jump. MHP made her admission as a preface to observing that our military has also been "a leading institution in America´s fight for racial equality." No doubt.

The U.S. is disliked by most progressives. Their ideology is a manifestation of their own self-hatred which they project on to our nation as an avoidance mechanism. Most people who have been studying the Kraft for any length of time understand this. It IS a mental disorder.

Yet it is perfectly acceptable, Melissa Harris-Perry, for the Leftists/Liberals/Progressives to declare war on the GOP, and anyone who does agree with their agenda for the present and future. Hypocrite of the highest order.

Their hatred of anything goes beyond just despising, it´s a mind-boggled view of this country and our purpose for being here. Our peace has been assured for over 200 years by the very people who they would seek to eliminate. The thinking is that peace would reign throughout the world if our military didn´t exist. And we´d all be happy muslims by now, those that survived.

These progressives know in their hearts that they are pathetic weenies. They see the veterans , real Americans returning from war and know they don´t have the courage to face such adversity themselves. I think it is penis envy.

YGTBSM Melissa! The military is not an autonomous force that goes around shooting up people and places. They do what CIVILIAN politicians tell them to do and if you knew anything about this country you would know you are hating the wrong people. But then, you are no better than the useful idiots of the late 60s and 70s - mindless drones living in an echo chamber.

Leftists suffer from the "no such thing as a bad person" syndrome, a debiliating mental defect.
They fail to grasp that evil men may personally attack you, so you should be armed, they cannot understand that people work much harder for their own benefit and some bad and lazy people will just love a ride on the welfare state, and finally, they are in denial that the Hitlers and Genghis Khans and Stalins of the world really exist and will kill and enslave millions if not stopped by VIOLENCE and strong fighting men and equipment.
Liberalism is a serious mental illness.

Liberals have real internal conflict here. They love power and American power is only possible because our strong military. So they are constantly at war with themselves...they realize the only possibility of achieving their goals is through a strong military.

Democrats were writing obituaries for California´s GOP after winning a supermajority in the state legislature last November, thus gaining veto-proof power to raise taxes. But their legislative lock may have slipped after this week´s special election in which Republican farmer Andy Vidak appears to have defeated a Democrat—in a heavily Democratic senate district—who had championed high-speed rail and a higher minimum wage. If Mr. Vidak wins an outright majority—late Friday, he led with 49.8% of the vote and provisional ballots were still being counted—his victory would put Republicans two senate seats short of reclaiming their veto on tax hikes.

CRAWFORD —Former President George W. Bush needed little help to blaze a trail Friday for 14 veterans mountain biking with him through open prairies, slick ravines and steep canyons. That’s because he brought the third annual Warrior 100K Ride — a three-day mountain biking trek to honor service members injured in Afghanistan and Iraq — to the well-worn paths at his Prairie Chapel Ranch outside of Waco. But even as Bush welcomed the wounded warriors to his home to thank them for their service, he made clear that his mission to help veterans extends well beyond the trails

Every Memorial Day, when I run into the grocery store to pick up those last minute items for the three day weekend’s picnic, I’m met with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) selling their poppies. We cherish, too, the poppy red/ that grows on fields where valor led; It seems to signal to the skies/that blood of heroes never dies-- “We Shall Keep the Faith” by Moina Michael -I remember as a kid that it was very common to see paper poppies being sold around Memorial Day. Michelle Obama certainly knows how to work a room! In this case, it was a kindergarten classroom at Savoy Elementary School in Washington D.C., where the patrons were, well, pint-size. The first lady paid a visit to the youngsters, brightening their day with some silly dance moves performed in unison and imparting an important message about hard work and perseverance.Awww. According to the Huffington Post, Obama encouraged the kiddos to "try new things and not be afraid to fail, because we have all failed," and referenced Kerry Washington (also in the audience),

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling
