| Miami Heat fan Michael Drysch, a 50-year-old computer tech guy, hit an incredible hook shot from half court to win $75,000 at the AmericanAirlines Arena. LeBron James couldn´t contain himself and tackled Drysch in sheer joy.(Snip for video) From ESPN: Drysch said he had been practicing the shot the past two days and only made it once during his workouts. He received a tip from a friend in the arena tunnel as he was warming up to take the shot. "They told me to put some spin on the ball, and get it up there as high as I could," Drysch said.

Saw the video of this. The guy shot better than some pro players. Nothing but net. LeBron´s reaction was hysterical. I recommend the video to everyone.

Yep, great to see him hit that shot. Kudos to Mr. Drysch. He was set a task, a rather tough one, and he did it. No award or "recognition" for anything but performance.
That sounds like a good idea for a lot of things!
Oh... wasn´t there a clip in the last few days of LeBron [was he named for a car? No -- that was LeBaron, a name Chrysler brought back from a long-ago carbody maker; but maybe Momma read LeBaron as LeBron when he was born?] missing a dunk?

Attorney General Eric Holder personally signed off on the warrant naming Fox News journalist James Rosen a “possible co-conspirator” in violation of the Espionage Act, Michael Isikoff reported yesterday. Which is sort of awkward, because Barack Obama also yesterday told the country (the whole country) that he didn’t want to criminalize reporting, and that he was going to ask his Justice Department to make sure not to do that anymore. Rosen wasn’t charged. In truth, the government never really intended on charging him. (Snip)That’s the scandal: That the government could charge a journalist with, effectively, spying, simply for reporting.

Amid catcalls from a Leftist heckler too blitheringly stupid to understand her dream was coming true, President Obama yesterday declared his intention to end the War on Terror — not quite 12 years since the 9/11 attacks. In what may have been the most important speech of his presidency, Obama said he would ask Congress to join him in efforts to “refine, and ultimately repeal,” the Authorization to Use Military Force passed three days after 9/11. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
