The coming collapse
of the abortion lobby

Fox News, by Dr. Charmaine Yoest

Forty years after Roe v. Wade, a powerful shift is taking place within Big Abortion. What abortion advocates could not win through choice, they intend to impose through coercion. Even Time magazine recently acknowledged on their cover that, for those so inclined to celebrate Roe’s anniversary, the rejoicing over abortion on demand should be tinged with concern. On January 14th Time asked “What Choice?” and then answered their own question: “40 years ago, abortion rights activists won an epic victory with Roe v. Wade,” the cover noted and then concluded: “They’ve been losing ever since.”

You know there is something really wrong or sick about a society that defends the right to have a baby killed.

55,000,000 American kids have been aborted.
One of them might have cured the disease that will kill you someday.

What is amazing is how tone deaf the Dems are. This can be seen in their latest convention where abortion was one of the primary platforms that they put forth. They cannot imagine how appalling it is for many Americans to put the killing of a baby in the womb as the most important reason for supporting a party. I think that if the Repubs ever quite listening to the stupid non-social/moral issues members of their party and came strongly and rationally against abortion as Reagen did we would win on the issue. We do not even have to run on an overturn of Roe v Wade. Simple issues like parental consent, waiting periods for abortions and alternatives presented to those seeking abortions would win the day since most Americans are for such things.

The problem is most establishment republicans are so afraid of the issue that they do not speak out as they should so it is left to the nuts Aiken to do so, and we see where that has gotten us.

There is no question that we were a more moral nation before the SCOTUS up and declared a right that nobody had sued for. One problem we face is rooting out all the hidden sources of funding for Planned Parenthood. We were avid supporters of Susan G Komen March for Life, for example, until we learned that hidden deep in their agenda was money donation to Planned Parenthood. Talk about a contradiction! A March for Life donating to a death dealing ooutfit like PP! The State of Texas, among others is in the process of withdrawing any funding to PP.

Let´s talk "cold-blooded murder", shall we?

Abortion has been responsible for 55,000,000 deaths in this country over the last 4 decades. People killed those little ones not guns. They were all "Pro-Choice" or "Pro-Death" advocates.

We don´t need more "Gun Control", we need "Abortion Control"!

Wake up America!

Yet please note that this is one issue that apparently helped Obama win & the Dems win the Senate. Recall how their campaigns proclaimed that any Republican or Conservative would deny all women their ´right´ to ´reproductive freedom.´

Amazing that the Dems find the right to an abortion in the Constitution and anything short of free abortion on demand is a limit to that right. Yet they want to ban the right to bear arms, which actually is in the Constitution...you know, for the children...

Thanks for posting this ray of hope for this weary pro-life warrior to read!
I wonder if the libs will regret their "choice" when social security collapses under the weight of the baby boomers with a significantly thinned out generation to follow?
The pro-life debate of the future will be whether Obamacare will be allowed to withhold medical care to let the broken down old people die off, which will save taxpayers money.

What all those abortion advocates refuse to acknowledge is that we have come a long way down the road. When this decision was handed down, it was understand there would never be taxpayer funding for abortion. Now most abortions are funded by taxpayers in one way or another.

Next up on that slippery slope, the option of having an abortion will become the duty to have an abortion with the government deciding who will be undergoing the procedure.

Abortion is evil. And people who promote it should be called out at every turn.

Here is how you win on the issue at federal level - stop making it a federal issue. Federal government has NO reason to be discussing, legislating and funding abortion. Republicans should simply tell libs you are right it is none of the federal governments business what you do with your body therefor we are not going to do anything about it including funding it. Say it is a state and local issue where individuals have more say and pull with their law maker. Same goes with gays!

The article uses an apt analogy of the abortion lobby and the Soviet bloc: the latter eventually collapsed under the shaky foundation of its own lies and the indefensibility of its basic arguments in application.

But if we are to the outcomes post-Soviet collapse and the pending collapse of the abortion lobby, we must consider where pro-abortionists will migrate to. Communists didn´t go away. They eventually scuttled over to the environmental/AGW cabal to push a statist, anti-capitalist agenda. Likewise, pro-abortionists will re-locate to kindred spirits in coercive, statist entities like CAP, American Bridge, etc. to continue their agenda under a different guise, (i.e. health care).

"And with all deceivableness of un-righteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
2 Thess.2:10-12 The only way that God will remove the delusion is America acknowledges its Sin and repents. Do you really think that is going to happen? If anyone cannot see the judgment that we are under these days they are those that have believed the lies we have been promoting for decades.

If Planned Parenthood is really so necessary to women because they provide primary care to these women, and since Planned Parenthood claims this is their primary reason for existence, they should just stop performing abortions. Plain and simple.

Of course we know they are liars beyond belief. Their president is Cecile Richards, daughter of Ma Richards of Texas fame. Perhaps she couldn´t continue to be paid $400K per year without the profit they derive from federal government funded 333,000 abortions per year.

More mandatory ultrasound laws. Let the women see for themselves on the scopes and then make an informed choice whether to believe their own eyes or the Leftist lies about it not being murder.
And let´s not allow the Left to conflate abortion or the day after pill with ´´family planning.´´ The Left loves to play with the language in order to bamboozle, BUT, family planning is taking preconception steps, not post conception action.

#30, such ultrasound laws might save a few lives, and I welcome that, but it won´t really make much of a dent. You would be forcing a medical person to force someone to look at something, which their heart will not be into doing when the person is resistant. Nowadays, EVERY woman except maybe a young teen knows EXACTLY what the baby looks like at what stage and she can likely feel it moving around even at 3 months. Cold blooded freaks that have abortions will just say, yep, I saw it, now go ahead with the procedure.

Turning abortion into a tax paid high speed industry was as harmful and sending our kids to die is some damn remote desert we´ll never visit. Desolate. Killing thousands of babies on an assembly line.
Abortion welfare is horrifying. Kids abandoning caution because of abortion welfare. Tax payers ready to cover your mistakes. What a mess. Socialism, the State, communism, in any form does not work.

I am respectful of those who couch their pro-life arguments in religious terms. I sometimes do, as well.
However, I have found that citing science (blood typing, DNA, ultra sound) is more effective with many people, including religious people, who don´t like to acknowledge the moral aspects of their actions or political positions. A few people have hesitated - and some may have had occasion to alter their view - when confronted with "science" rather than faith.

One-sixth of the USA has been murdered in vitro. Potential tax payers and heaven knows we need more tax payers and social security payers. It amazes me that the money mongrels of the dem party, who search for everyone elses money, don´t see their folly by endorsing, since 1973, aborting potential tax payers. Now, my example is horrid. I in no way support abortion. It sickens me to think 55 million innocent lives have been snuffed out. Now those of you Lucianne fans born after Jan, 1973. You do realize that your mother could have snuffed your life out, legally? You were on the do or don´t ledge of being exterminated because...now in the case of rape or incest...both are punishable crimes. I don´t know if there have been many prosecutions for the rape or family molestations. It´s all been a word game with pro aborts. Refine this. refine that so that we eventually lose the meaning of abortion. I fervently pray that I see the end of abortion. The haters have to lose. Repulsive haters.

I am no fan of abortion and would never have one. But I think the biggest problem with the issue is that it never stayed the way it was originally intended...i.e. "making it legal, safe and RARE" and only allowed in the first trimester (unless the life of the woman is in danger). Instead, the left pushed it almost into a religion. They turned it into a form of birth control and pushed it not only past the 2nd trimester but all the way to "partial birth" abortion with some even advocating "post birth abortion", like P. Singer. While I feel all potential for life is a gift from God, I can accept that people´s beliefs differ. So, if abortion is going to be legal, then we should limit it to the first trimester before it´s fully developed. But it should be state regulated and education required to discourage it. We can make it rare without outlawing it outright. We just need to discredit the left´s pro-murder agenda.

#38 In my case, I had no knowledge of, or opinion about abortion until the day in the early 80s when I saw the film "Silent Scream" on public television. When I saw the ultrasound of that little baby moving around in the womb to avoid the instrument that was invading its space, and then the open mouth...in that moment I became a pro-life advocate.
But over the years as Bible verses have popped up that speak so powerfully on the subject, it is difficult to stay with science alone.
Proverbs 31:8-9

Time for "prenatal emancipation". Take care of mom for nine months; then give baby to a couple who´ll love and appreciate it. The recent flap with Putin over Russian adoption - not to mention the cost of adoption these days - should remind us how precious all children are.

I´m as pro-life as anyone but I have to say: the Dems made abortion one of the centerpieces...and they won the Presidency during a very stagnant economy.

So I´m forced to conclude that the strategy of picking off a few groups--dominating blacks, Hispanics, unmarried women, gays, muslims (about 2% of the vote but helpful when you only won by 3-4%) was helped by their pro-abortion strategy. It kept young unmarrieds on the plantation, got millions of Hollywood money flowing in (which they wouldn´t have gotten with a pro-life platform)...meanwhile pro-lifers sat on their hands because mittens or williard or "the Mormon" wasn´t Christian or conservative enough.

So this time around, it worked for the Dems.

When I see that there have been at least 55,000,000 abortions that means that 27,500,000+ women have been denied their reproductive rights because they have been denied their right to trial by jury before getting a death sentence.

Men should also beware as 27,500,000 men were also denied their right to trial by jury before getting a death sentence.

How many who push for abortion want to do away with the death penalty for murderers?

"Safe, legal and rare." Riiigghhhttt.
Let´s cut to the chase folks: abortion is big money. BIG money. It´s not about helping women or helping children or helping society or any of that other clap trap. It´s big money. They prey upon people (men included) at one of the toughest times of their lives. Think of it as impulse buying at its worst, only there´s not returning your purchase if you are unhappy with it.

WEST, Texas—Block by block, schools, homes and businesses are steadily being pieced back together here, a year after a blast at a fertilizer depot laid waste to much of the town. A story is told about Robert L. Bartley, late editor of the Wall Street Journal, and his penchant for long silences. He is supposed to have once taken a job applicant to lunch at which, though the two shared a meal, neither spoke a syllable. That is no doubt apocryphal; the job applicant probably said something. George Washington had a taciturn streak, as did President Coolidge, known as “Silent Cal.” (Snip)But rarely does anyone get as upset about it as Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker appears to be in respect of Clarence Thomas. Toobin came unglued at the disinclination of

Let’s say you got into politics running for office as a Democrat. You hate Rupert Murdoch and Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, and you really, really hate Bill Kristol. You despise bankers and got set up in activism by a group working on behalf of “the working class” and complaining: “Every day the rich tighten the chains . . . . They close the factories, the mills, the mines, and ship our jobs overseas.” You’re part of a group that endorses the Mearsheimer-Walt view that Israeli interests hold American foreign policy captive – a group that also wholeheartedly

The U.S. must stand behind

On the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Gen. James Mattis admonished the 1st Marine Division to “[d]emonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy.’” That motto could serve as a guiding principle for sound national security policy. Regrettably, our allies wonder whether the United States is demonstrating the reverse. Since leaving as secretary of homeland security in January 2009, I have talked with officials from friendly nations in Asia and the Middle East. Increasingly, I hear skepticism about whether the United States remains a reliable ally our friends can trust for support against attacks.

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively
