| Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), who is planning a trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories next month, is trying to contest rumors that Barack Obama wants to “pivot” on foreign policy from the Middle East to Asia. Kerry said at his Thursday confirmation hearing for Secretary of State: I want to take on the word "pivot." I think "pivot" implies that we´re turning away from somewhere else. I want to emphasize we are not turning away from anywhere else. Whatever we do in [Asia] should not come, and I hope will not come, at the expense of relationships in Europe or the in the Mid-East or elsewhere. It can't.
|
Comments: 0bama has pinhead parsing "pivot." There is no mention of Africa. The French are fighting Al Qaeda in Mali, while we recently removed embassy staff from Central African Republic, Algeria oil raid killed many hostages among terrorist, Libya, where we are STILL trying to get facts on Benghazi as Europe tell all its people to leave there, Egypt, where we just sent a squadron of F-16´s for the Muslim Brotherhood, pirating along Eastern coast, etc. Get the picture? It´s not just the "Middle East" or "Asia." It´s a dangerous world under 0bama´s tenure, getting worst.

There was a point where I had a misdirected brain flash that Kerry would be better than Clinton.I mean, afterall ,how could you be more incompetent or as flat out stupid as Clinton. Apparetly she spent a million miles in the air, burning up countless millions in fuel, not to mention the costs of the entourages of freeloading sightseers she dragged along at taxpayer expense. We would all go into a state of shock just seeing what a 1 night´s room cost with some of the world´s best food and booze on room service alone.
She accomplished absolutely nothing in 4 years and probably made things worse going along with the arab spring debacle policies.Who even knows how much money she squandered on foreign aid to countries that hate us.She looks haggard and weather beaten as hell, yet she´s the assumed front runner in 2016.
Now,along comes Kerry who gets approved in the senate without so much of a tough question from a republican. He still lives in his heyday as an anti_American from the early 70´s,going to other countries, undermining our war efforts and brags he helped end the war sooner.
But anyway,he´s still a peace activist in a dangerous, evolving world and enemies which are out of uniform and terrorizing their own populace. Pakistan is near collapse but has over 100 nukes.NK and Iran are dreaming of the day they can nuke Israel and the US but his big bullet point in his presentation was cracking down on the use of drones.
Kerry is living proof that liberals don´t get any wiser with age or even grow past their adolescence. He´s worth $200 million or so while making and average of a $150,000 a year being in the senate. I´m sure he never took an undeclared bribe (snicker)..
He´s also a tax dodger who doesn´t bother one Obama supporter.

An Orlando man being questioned by the FBI about his relationship with the accused Boston bombers was shot and killed early Wednesday in a "violent confrontation" with authorities, the FBI said. An 18-year-old Florida student’s senior year has become a nightmare — all because she was in a same-sex relationship with a 15-year-old, her family says. Kaitlyn Hunt was arrested Feb. 16 for having a physical relationship with a younger classmate, who was her girlfriend at the time, mom Kelley Hunt Smith wrote on Facebook. Under Florida law, Hunt could see up to 15 years in prison and must register as a sex offender. A plea deal, however, remains on the table that would give Hunt two years´ house arrest and one year of probation, her family said. “Does my daughter deserve to lose her life for

As the impasse over Tehran’s nuclear program worsens, those most likely to be directly affected by an Iranian bomb are showing greater alarm. While the media fixates on Israel and its possible reaction, other regional players have no less at stake. Despite Riyadh’s long-held advocacy of making the Middle East a zone free of weapons of mass destruction, there has been much speculation in the past few years about the possibility of its acquiring, or developing, nuclear weapons should Tehran obtain the bomb. In the words of Saudi King Abdullah: “If Iran developed nuclear weapons (...) everyone in the

The Vatican has denied claims that Pope Francis performed an exorcism, after TV images showed a man apparently reacting to him putting his hands on his head. The encounter - during Sunday Mass - was shown on a TV channel owned by the Italian bishops´ conference. The station quoted exorcists as saying there was "no doubt" the Pope had either performed an exorcism or a prayer to free the man from the devil. Its director later apologised for "having altered the truth". The Pope´s spokesman said he "did not intend to perform any exorcism".

Mexico City - Guatemala’s highest court on Monday threw out the genocide conviction and prison sentence of the former dictator Gen. Efraín Ríos Montt. The decision by Guatemala’s Constitutional Court was a dramatic legal victory for General Ríos Montt, 86, and a blow to human rights advocates who had called his conviction a sign that Guatemala’s courts would no longer allow impunity for the country’s powerful. General Ríos Montt was sent to prison immediately after the verdict on May 10 when a three-panel tribunal found him guilty of genocide and crimes against humanity.

Monday the Department of Justice Inspector General [IG] confirmed what Townhall and other media outlets have been reporting for more than a year now: DOJ officials smeared Fast and Furious whistleblower and ATF Agent John Dodson. As a reminder, Dodson was the first whistleblower to expose Operation Fast and Furious. He revealed the operation´s connection to the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry on to CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson on March 3, 2011. The IG report confirms that former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke, who has a long personal and professional relationship with

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
