Charlotte, North Carolina - Reince Priebus pledged to grow his party by making direct appeals to minority and young voters as well as dedicating campaign resources to try and win in traditional Democratic states, as members of the Republican National Committee re-elected him Friday to a second two-year term at their Winter Meeting. "We must compete in every state and every region, building relationships with communities we haven´t before," he said. "At the RNC, we are dropping red and blue analysis. We must be a party concerned about every American in every neighborhood." Last month, Priebus created a task

Rewarding failure? Between running a man of questionable birth against another of questionable birth (obama/mccain)followed by one candidate who signed into law government healthcare against another candidate who signed into law government healthcare....it almost sounds like a conspiracy.

Cameron and Bret summarized it nicely: GOP promising major change EXCEPT at the top. I guess Jindal, Priebus thought giving the press so much access to this meeting was smart. I think it was stupid. You do not see Dems strategizing in front of the press. You do that privately, including blasting those you have differences with, and then present a united positive energized front to the press.

Boy did he sound pathetic today. As if the GOP has shut anyone out. They have bought the LSM mantra about themselves. What a leader. s/o

So the change is gonna be no change at all, and the future will be just like the past.

Who´s turn is it to run next time...?

Just one more reason to abandon the Republicans as dead fish, I for one am glad I was never a Republican.

Libertarian/Constitutional Party.

Reagan was the only Republican worth a damn in the last 50 years, and he was a Democrat. Excuse me Goldwater too but who remembers him?

There goes the majority in the House.
Third party, I think (for me).
Priebus lied on National radio to Mark Levin and did not allow one penny of RNC money to go to Michele Bachmann for her re-election to the House.

My wife and I, a near retired Educational Consultant and an ICU RN, feel betrayed in our America, and having served my country in the military, I now groan and moan in frustration over this Muslim foreign exchange student leading the DSA (Divided States of America) down the wrong path, straight to hell, and we simply ask: Is there a conservative party where our vote will count? This Republican "experiment" aint working lately and its killing us!

HELP!!!

I had the same reaction as poster # 2... Priebus? Really? Why not Herman Cain or Cruz or Rubio or anyone with a gift of gab who can go on late nite shows & give it back to the libs?

Why are they sticking with a meek, milktoast posterboy for wealthy white guys... that the libs will demonize & laugh at?

I hope that Palin has some big plans now that she is retiring from Fox. It is time for a take-over of the RINO Party.

Her eyes are transfixed as she struggles to prise away the powerful hand squeezing around her throat. Glamorous TV cook Nigella Lawson looks stunned to be attacked by her art collector husband Charles Saatchi during a vicious row at their favourite London restaurant. Fellow diners and passers-by at Scott’s in Mayfair were shocked to see the advertising multimillionaire reduce his celebrity wife to tears. Saatchi launched a tirade of angry words. Four times he grasped her around the neck with Nigella, 53, looking powerless and petrified. At first he used only his left hand, then both.

U.S. and Israeli defence chiefs on Friday reaffirmed cooperation to counter threats from Iran and condemned the alledged use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces. U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his Israeli counterpart Moshe Yaalon reiterated during a meeting that the two allies "will continue to work together to counter threats posed by Iran and remain prepared for a range of contingencies," said Pentagon spokesman George Little in a statement. Millions of Iranians voted to choose a new president on Friday, with prospects unclear whether the country will continue hardline diplomacy especially with the West on nuclear issues.

The Israeli defense minister said Friday there is no peaceful solution for Syria in sight, just hours after the U.S. announced a newly invigorated policy toward the two-year-old civil war. Minister Moshe Ya´alon, the former chief of staff to the Israeli Defense Forces, said he cannot predict the outcome of the internal conflict that has caused 90,000 deaths in Syria, according to U.N. estimates, despite the White House announcement Thursday that it would begin new military and diplomatic policies in response to the regime´s use of chemical weapons. 52 days after an Israeli general publicly declared that Syria has used chemical weapons against rebels, the Obama administration reached the same conclusion, and used the finding to justify announcing it would send small arms to the side of the victims. “I will not say ‘We told you so,’ only, okay, the proof is there, so there’s no more question about it,” says Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor, taking with a smile the easy part of the equation now laid before Israel. Documentary-makers in Germany have claimed that legalising prostitution has turned the country´s capital Berlin into ´Europe´s biggest brothel.´ Sex trade laws were radically liberalised by the German government in 2002 but a documentary called Sex - Made In Germany estimates that one million men pay for sex every day. The film was based on two years of research captured using hidden cameras and explores Berlin´s world of ´flat-rate´ brothels where customers pay €49 (£42) for as much sex as they want. (Snip) It is thought that around two thirds of the country´s 400,000 sex workers come from abroad.

Pope Francis has acknowledged the existence of a ´gay lobby´ inside the Vatican´s secretive administration for the first time. Speaking during an audience with Latin American Catholics, the Argentine Pontiff said that there was a ´current of corruption´ in the Roman Curia - the central governing body of the Catholic Church. He also admitted the existence of a long-rumoured ´gay lobby´ in the Curia, and hinted that he might take action over the issue. Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
