Republicans share the blame in this for not being able to get working, tax paying, constitution respecting Americans to the polls in sufficient numbers. Racial minorities cast 28% of the votes while numbering 23% of the electorate. I am not a person of the white race but (believe) that is a recipe for national suicide.

The more of this the better. Too bad some elected republicans don´t have this kind of fire in the belly. Time to throw them all out.

Taking from those who have earned and handing it to those who have not - the entire modus operandi of the Democrats and the root principle of socialism - is immoral, not just misguided or dumb. To the culpability of our Republican leaders for luke warm support of Romney, add the Tea Parties. I had a go at the head of my Tea Party Patriots and got nowhere with her. They supported conservative Senators and Reps but sat on their hands as to Romnney.

To that add in the damage done by Newt Gingrich who had no way open to the nomination because he was not on the ballot in Virginia and in some counties in other states but who, despite having to know that (he´s not stupid though his followers were) would not get out of the way or shut up. I got a phone call from someone on his behalf yesterday and as soon as she identified herself I erupted with "Newt Gingrich! If it wasn´t for him we could have elected Romney!" and hung up. I am usually polite to everyone. I must be at the end of my patience.

Just curious ~ what is Newt running for now that you received a phone call on his behalf? Or is he needing $$ to pay off loans? I thought the political calls were over for this year.

It must be understood that a good many of "Republicans" in Congress have as their first priority is getting re-elected. EVERYTHING is secondary to that. As such, they become, over time, RINOS and Dim Lite. They like the idea of loading down various bills with earmarks because it proides federal dollars being spent in their own districts. And that makes the voters happy. Obozo has just taken this to a new high. Spread the dollars around to those who are expected to vote for him and belittle those who oppose him. We have a REAL big problem when you learn that almost 20% of the registered Republicans who showed up to vote on Election Day, didn´t vote for Romney/Ryan. They may not all have voted for Obammy but many did (while some didn´t vote for Prez at all and some even went 3rd party) you realize that there is little to be hopeful about. I´ve had my Republican friends say that keeping their kids on their medical until 26 was something they liked. Many older Republicans wanted the handouts to continue and the unemployed ones wanted 99 weeks of unemployment insurance! Romney talked about everyone pulling their own weight but many in his party don´t like that idea --- and voted accordingly.

Right now, many Republicans are starting to sound like old Civil War vets who keep thinking the South will rise again! It won´t. 150 years ago, many held on to their Confederate money, thinking it would come back into style. It didn´t. There has been a sea change in the country and we can´t just lay it all at Obammy´s feet. "We have met the enemy ... and he is us!". We need a new strategy. Pronto.

I don´t understand the moaning of some about attacking "Republicans". The Republican Party is to blame because they´ve let in way too many Democrats. There is no other way (except for live boy/dead girl) to explain the actions of federal level elected Republicans. What I´m really fighting for is an opposition party to the Democrats - our country runs better with at least 2 parties in opposition to each other. What we have now is closer to the old Soviet Union.

Gotta admire Gensert’s pluck. His “I’m mad as hell and not going to take it anymore” vow is exactly the attitude the GOP needs to cultivate. However, even Gensert doesn’t fully get it.

Republicans always head into elections locked and loaded. They just never seem to know who to aim at. Newt, for all his flaws, painted the target for us during the primaries. And we continued shooting at decoys when we somehow managed to avoid shooting ourselves in the foot.

The GOP’s real high-value target is not the 66 million Americans who voted for Obama. It’s not even Obama himself. It’s the media—the so-call Fourth Estate—which has become a cabal of fawning sycophants in the service of liberalism.

Republicans stood and cheered Newt when he challenged liberal moderators and refused to back down. We applauded because Newt was actually fighting back against the real foes of conservatism—the ones we face election after election no matter who Democrats nominate for any particular office.

To level the playing field, Republicans have to mount and sustain a full-frontal assault on liberal media bootlickers, brown-nosers, suck-ups, lap-dogs, etc., not because they are incredibly annoying (they are), but because their continued dereliction of duty poses a grave danger to our Republic.

No candidate should be given a pass instead of a thorough vetting. No politician should be immune from criticism. No leader should be able to dodge hard questions.

The GOP should hire Newt to run a GOP boot camp to train Republicans how to deal with the media—including how to make the media itself the focus of stories—to hinder JournoList types from sending their carefully-scripted, coordinated talking points “halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get it’s pants on.”

I´m not sure I understand the venom toward Rep electeds. If the base doesn´t care--and they couldn´t be bothered to turn out and vote unless some computer program told them to, apparently--why should the politicians care?

I beleive there isn´t a hair difference in any of these politicians in DC. We just elected a Republican to replace our Dem Congressman. He promised to be conservative and fought all the Republicans running against him in the primary elections. Even name calling, dirty political tactics, lies, etc. As soon as he won in Nov he did a complete about face. In his first interview this month he was touting the fact that he was reaching across the aisle and his new best friend is Congressman Joe Kennedy. Now I know that he will not represent anything I stand for. Perhaps we are the morons.

How do you explain the massive crowds that turned out for Romney rallies in contrast to the abysmally low turnouts for Obama? Why did the DNC decide to move their convention to a site with far fewer seats?

Does no one remember the rampant VOTE FRAUD, such as the 141 percent ‘turnout’ in St. Lucie County, Florida? I bet Allen West remembers!

Similar population/registrant vs vote discrepancies took place in other states, particularly in the battleground states.

And how about those Philadelphia precincts voting 100 percent for Obama . . . after the Democrat polecats forcefully pushed the Republican poll watchers from the buildings?

And the Ohio voters who went to the polls . . . intending to vote . . . but were turned away because they were told they’d already voted?!  I wonder how those Ohioans feel about this myopic blame-the-Republicans piece.

And the military votes? Did any of the ballots actually get to our military in time for their votes to count? Of those ballots that did, how many actually make it to the voter precincts here? Besides the more ‘common’ delays, why did a plane — that was transporting military votes — oh, so conveniently, crash?

I want an opposition party, not a stupid party. It’s been apparent for decades that the grandees of the Grand Old Party shy away from sustained confrontation against the media or the socialist democrats, and abandon any who try. It’s a tired and trite observation. We are expected to accept continued capitulation as the only consistent Republican political principle, and are blamed for the resulting failures because we point them out.

The Tea Party was a ready made grassroots movement that was placed in the lap of the Republican Party. You´d think they got dumped with an ice bucket, the way they jumped up and brushed us off their pants. If some Tea Party groups didn´t enthusiastically embrace Romney and the anointed GOP candidates, I hardly think they can be blamed for their own tepid response. We’re tired of the old excuses that the media is biased, or that the Republicans don’t have the votes so kicking the can down the road is another grand bi-partisan compromise that will set us up for a win next time

Why the lack of message? Why the lack of constant attack? Why the lack of basic political savvy? We never get answers to these questions.
