I live in San Antonio and all you have to do is drive south of here to see, smell and taste commerce - good, old American commerce. An article in the San Antonio Express News stated that this year alone, energy exploration (read "fracking") will pump $28 billion dollars into our S. Texas economy. Why on God´s green Earth would we not exploit this to eveyone´s benefit?

You have to know that Obama and his Marxist allies will eventually shut down fracking. They want a poor peasant population to grovel at their feet for whatever crumbs the royalty in Washington, DC decided to distribute. Using the shoddiest "science" fracking will be declared a poison to the environment.

The peasants won´t get their oil. Freeze in your homes and let your car rust in the driveway.

The eco-terrorists in the EPA will see to it that fracking is killed off. After all, a vibrant economy is not wanted by them or the idjet in the WH.

The silly liberals running Vermont have banned fracking. You can only frack with the same sex.

It is my belief that the only way we defeat the socialists is with rampant capitalism. If you read "The Forgotten man", this shows that we defeated FDR´s run toward socialism with growth. It can be done again. We need to get beyond their attempt to tax capitalists into quitting and just keep developing businesses. The public loves US economic success. Once these oil or gas fields are up and running, they will not be able to stop them. Same with other businesses. We need to stop whining about taxes and outplay and outwit them with good old fashioned risk and capitalism.

Fracking isn´t new to the Texas oil fields. I began fracking in the Austin Chalk play in 1980. What is new is applying the directional drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques to formations that in the past were considered source rock but not reservoir rock. The Eagle Ford Shale is a prime example as it was long thought (correctly) to be the source rock for oil and gas found in Austin Chalk fracture zones; however, its physical characteristics, containing fine grained clay minerals that expand when wet, made it unsuitable for production. It had been the development of drilling fluid technology that has unleashed the potential of the shales as productive reservoirs. Fracking is but a completion technique that creates interconnected fractures in the rock formations to enhance permeability.

And imagine what we´d be accomplishing if Fauxbama wasn´t standing in the way.

This is not good news to Obama; a prosperous and happy populace does not respond well to his crisis to crisis style of ruling.

The enviromental wackos can and will use outright lies and emotion to push the low info voters into a mob screaming for the "govmint" to step in and put a stop to fracking because it will cause the world to end. And earthquakes will become more common and more severe that ever before in history./s

Just think back at what has been written and said about "global warming", er "climate change". There isn´t a shred of conclusive evidence that manking can and/or is causing the climate of planet Earth to do anything. Warm up or cool down. It´s that big bright think that is in the sky everyday that does.

I live in a community where there is fracking. The major complaint I have is that the fracking, which happens here in the countryside, also requires very large trucks. I travel country roads a lot. Dealing with those huge trucks on two lane roads with no shoulders is a major chore. Having said that, it is still a small price to pay considering all of the money fracking has brought to local communities.

Yet another issue to bash the Bamster with during the 2014 midterm election cycle.

How right you are #3! Watched the "Fracknation" documentary a few nights ago. I couldn´t really detect much more than the author did his research and presented verifyable facts, one after another. I learned a great deal and I would like to have others view it as well.

What I fear is the enviromental -green controlled senatores and congressmen will stop this form of freedom from socialistic control ,will try to put a stop to this so they can keep us under their control.

In order for an international currency (through IMF) and an international government (through the UN - with a wholesale change of the current cast of characters) to be accepted, America below the elite level must first be impoverished. The international currency will buy a loaf of bread; dollars no longer will. Remember: the man who started the FED 100 years ago said, "I care not who you elect to office, give me control of the money and I will run everything."

Countries in the Persian Gulf, Africa, Mexico and Venezuela are heading for great turmoil because of this. How sad.
