| The White House has decided to circumvent Capitol Hill as it concentrates its gun-control efforts on speeches and other public appearances by President Obama and Vice President Biden outside of Washington, according to officials with knowledge of the plans. With Obama’s gun agenda dependent on centrist Democratic senators who are nervous about their reelection prospects, the administration has calculated that the president is better off helping to build a groundswell of popular support within the lawmakers’ states rather than negotiating directly with them, officials said.

Funding has gone out to Moveon.org & CodePinko to start harrassing gun supporters. If states refuse to implement these unconstitutional & draconian measures... what next?

Yes, LanieLou, yes! They want the guns first--as many of them as they can get--the guns are he only real obstacle to Obama and his army of true believers. Obama´s sad little mind is is motivated by only one thing -- revenge on the white oppressor/imperialist tribe. Obama´s hero is Hugo Chavez (among other communist murderers and thugs)--but he miscalculated and he wants tobstop all this gun-buying. I don´t think fear of new gun laws is the main motivation for all this gun-buying around the country--I think it´s because folks are preparing for the worst.

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men.
