Feinstein´s Gun Control:
Ill-Conceived Legislation

Gun Control: We really don´t want to say it, but we have to because it´s true: The Democrats aren´t letting a tragedy go to waste — they are pushing a firearms ban on top of the victims of the Newtown shooting. Led by the once pistol-packing Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, the Democrats have put forth legislation that would outlaw more than 150 types of weapons, from rifles to pistols to shotguns. They are calling it the "Assault Weapons Ban of 2013." But it´s more like the "Second Amendment Violation of the Century."

I just wonder where and when the attempt will be made. People will not stand for this.

When you look at this closely this is a massive gun ban proposal, it not only bans specific guns that are listed, but also bans a huge number of makes and models of other guns if they possess one attribute that the liberals define as being military oriented. It probably encompasses just about all of the modern semi-automatic firearms manufactured and sold in America today. If this were to go through as written, it would wipe out just about the entire US small arms and related industries that could not survive by bidding on a diminishing number of military contracts. Once those industries go under, tens of thousands of well paying US jobs and the technical know how associated with them would be gone forever. The liberal Democrats consider those industries to be conservative in their political orientation and is why the liberal Democrats are attacking them as being responsible for just about everything bad that happens in America.

Notice that Sen. Feinstein has nothing to say about the dangerous mentally ill people who perpetrate just about all of the mass shootings and the mental health industry that has let them down, referring to the mentally ill as victims, and definitely does not mention the movie and video game industries, mainly based in California, who put out all sorts of very violent movies and addictive video games, that give horrific ideas to young people like the guy who grew up in a peaceful Connecticut town, as to the havoc that he could cause and the media attention that he could reap as he set out on his individual suicide mission.

Ever notice that all these anti-gun wackos are all from the urban cesspools like NY, LA, Gay Bay, etc.

They haven´t the foggiest notion of real America nor how to solve the problem of rampant crime.

Hey Di Fi, did you have anything to do with GEICO cancelling auto insurance polices on the manufacturer of gun parts? Just asking. If you can´t get your way, you just try another. Keep it up you old hag

Military features are the very reason for the second amendment. What other kind of features should be on a militia weapon?
"Well regulated" in 18th century English meant "well set or prepared for the task".

She is attempting to ban mfg & import of any guns or parts... as well as making all guns illegal. Of course she sayts we can keep the ones we have... for now.

Clinton tried to warn Obama that this war is not against a fringe NRA... It´s against the American people.

Thankfully congress will not pass this and local gov´ts will ignore it. Gun mfg´s can get a stay & sue the gov´t if they interfere with their business.

As the miscreants from Code Pinko & Moveon.org hit the streets over the next few weeks, we need to stay calm. What´s left of the law is on our side.

Good Luck Being Unemployed Under Obama

Thirty-six weeks. That´s the average time an unemployed American is out of work in the Obama-led economy, according to the latest government data. For anyone who has been jobless for an extended duration of time, nine months seems like an eternity. But, nine months is the norm in the Obama economy. The latest data from the Department of Labor show the nation´s unemployment rate stands at 7.5%. The Obama Administration and Obama backers are quick to point out that this rate is the lowest of his presidency. However, the deeper we dig into the state of the unemployed under Obama,

Now that the low-information/low-knowledge segment of the country is waking up to what conservatives have been pointing out since Barack Obama was first sanctified by the left, we are being treated to the spectacle of a liberal epiphany. How, they ask themselves, could this have happened? How could they have been suckered so completely? After all, liberals/progressives tell us all the time, they are a superior manifestation of the species. They are always right, and their political opponents are always bad people, motivated by ignorance and stupidity at best, and impure designs at least.

RUSH: Now, I mentioned at the last segment right before the top of the hour that the IRS was asking religious groups for the content of their prayers prior to granting them tax-exempt status -- and, in some cases, not granting it. It came out during the Ways and Means Committee hearing on the IRS scandal. The acting IRS commissioner, Steven Miller, who´s leaving, was testifying. Congressman Aaron Schock, a Republican from Illinois, had a question for him.

RUSH: Folks, we are being told that Lois Lerner´s seemingly out-of-the-blue admission about the IRS tax-exempt waivers was carefully planned. The question that evoked her admission was planted as part of prepared strategy for the IRS to release this information to the public, and that´s according to the outgoing IRS commissioner, Steven Miller. He said it in testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee this morning.

RUSH: I am getting the sense that there is an effervescing rage in the country over what is happening. If you´re watching these hearings today, if you are listening to the media, I hate to say, "I told you so," but the media is circling the wagons around the regime. It was just yesterday and the day before that people eagerly called here and were sending me e-mails, thinking this was it. "The media is finally going to turn on Obama!" I said, "It´s never going to happen, not for real,"

Speaking at Ohio State University this month, Barack Obama urged students to pay no attention to those paranoid types who "incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity." Oddly enough, in recent days the most compelling testimony for this view of government has come from the president himself, who insists, with a straight face, that he had no idea that the Internal Revenue Service had spent two years targeting his political enemies until he "learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this."

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
