| After a months-long wait that featured scheduling challenges, investigative delays, ministerial concussions, and the small matter of a presidential election, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finally came to Congress to testify about what happened in Benghazi. And what did she have to say? “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?” That was Mrs. Clinton’s response to a line of questioning — the first of many, none to much avail —

Rand Paul would have fired her. John McCain didn´t believe her. Johnson couldn´t get a straight answer as with the rest of her "interrogators."
Why were there no questions about the video links that were apparently "disfunctional." Why were assets (gunships and drones) very close by not allowed to intervene when there was a seven hour gap between the deaths of Stevens and the Seals.
The phony excuse that there was an ongoing FBI investigation so she didn´t want to interfere by talking with the rescued consulate workers was never pressed. That should have decimated any phony argument she attempted to avert.
There´s a rescued worker in the US Army Hospital in Landstuhl Germany why has he not been allowed a public interview.
What happened to more than sixteen video control centers not in video contact with this operation. She says that they weren´t up and running for crying out loud????
Why did she get away with the nonsense that Congress did not fund the Benghazi Consulate(?) when there´s evidence that SHE pulled the funding in order to keep things "low key."
What about the apology video of hussein and the hildabeast blaming the anti muslim video whose author is still in prison.
Ah phooey! "What difference does it make."

I´ve given up caring about this....nothing will ever happen, no one will be held accountable, and getting riled up about it just does a number on my BP.
There´s no accountability in DC, and they´re all in bed together. Once you´re ´in´, you´re there for life, your constituents be damned.....

Used to be that I felt so lucky to have been born here. I´d like to keep feeling so blessed that my children and grandchildren were born here.

THE BATHROOM IS LARGE, immaculate and low-lit, finished in rich wood, floor-to-ceiling mirrors and brushed metal. Wearing the thick bathrobe provided by an attendant, I walk from the shower to the wash basin. The heat radiates from the floor through my slippers. I have my own shaving gear with me but still browse through boxes and trays for accoutrements I might prefer. This is one of the nicest lavatories I´ve ever been in. It also happens to be 35,000 feet in the air. I´m aboard one of Emirates Airline´s double-decker Airbus A380s. According to the flight-progress map

It happens now and then. You hear a story so sad, so beautiful, so filled with loss and pain and grief and love, that it makes you cry. Really cry. Two years ago, I was making a grocery run for my family on Memorial Day when a story came on the local NPR station in Oxford, Miss. It was about a father whose son had been killed in action in northwest Afghanistan. The father was Paul Monti; his son was Sergeant Jared Monti. Jared died in Afghanistan trying to save the life of one of his men.

What would help a lot right now, as the chilling reality of savagery engulfs us, would be a cultural green light to begin calling evil what it is, to begin calling it by its name, to stop dancing around demographics because of the fear someone, somewhere will take offense. There is always someone, somewhere looking for a reason to be offended. Jesse Jackson has fashioned a lucrative career out of being perpetually peeved. It works if you know how to play the game. The White House on Friday didn’t respond to a report that Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the seizure a Fox News reporter’s phone and email records — and with no daily press briefing scheduled Friday that could mean silence from the administration through the Memorial Day weekend. President Obama’s speech at the National Defense University calling for an end to the war on terror forces the question of who gets to declare peace. The Left wing in our political debate has been agitating for some time to repeal the authorization to use military force that the Congress passed after 9/11. The President boarded the bandwagon yesterday. He vowed he would sign no laws designed to expand the mandate and declared outright that he looks forward “to engaging Congress and the American people in efforts to refine, and ultimately repeal” the congressional mandate to use force.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”
