| WASHINGTON – A rising chorus of congressional Republicans are calling on President Obama to acknowledge that the pop singer Beyoncé lip-synched during his inaugural festivities on Monday and resign from office, effective immediately. “By lip-synching the national anthem, Beyoncé has cast a dark cloud over the President’s second term,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky). “The only way President Obama can remove that cloud is by resigning from office at once.” While many in the media have blamed Beyoncé for the lip-synching controversy, Mr. Paul said, “We must remember that this happened on President Obama’s watch.”

Satire with a Democrat president. With a Republican, it wouldn´t be. We saw worse and more ludicrous accusations thrown at W.

The satire works because the GOP is been busy making every little thing into a ´scandal´. Rather than saving their ammunition for the things that are worth fighting for.

The whole problem with Obama and the Leftists, including the partisan news media, is determining what is true and what is false. Madame Secretary has simplified this for us by her testimony before the Senate today: what difference, at this point, does it make whether anything the administration says is true or false?
Truth means nothing to Leftists. Ideology is everything. If truth and ideology clash, so much the worse for truth. Ideology is truth.

Satire like this, as with The Force, is particularly effective (i.e., "works") with the weak-minded.

Beyonce is in a long line of singers who hide their lack of talent behind AutoTune and pre-recorded tracks. As such, she is a perfect metaphor for Barack Obama and his wife.
Keep in mind that Beyonce has a track record of claiming to be Christian while wearing revealing clothing, of accepting money from the Gaddafi family as a fee for a private performance, and of being a spokeswoman for Pepsi, the type of soft drink to which Michelle Obama has been vehemently opposed.
In essence, liberals are not what they appear to be, they will change their shape as required, and they will say whatever suits them in the moment.

I´m wondering, now, why The Bolshevik himself didn´t croon (rap?) the Anthem. He could have replaced Francis Scott Key´s lyrics (so ancient) with his own poetic genius. That thing that he reads his speeches from wouldn´t have obtruded. His fans, the flying monkeys and the black Orcs, would have swooned on command. Maybe next time.

O has dragged this country through every kind of economic, moral, and constitutional mud, and these jokers get their knickers in a twist over a lip-synched song!? Well, it certainly epitomizes the detesticulation he and his media lapdogs have wrought on what was once a party with integrity. Geez Louise, is this the best we can expect from the representatives we elected to defend America from this man´s policies??

Good 13. As for post 2, the GOP fought like mad over fast and furious. Was it "worth fighting for?" Was the smuggling by obama and holder of thousands of weapons into the hands of the most violent criminals in this hemisphere, who used the guns to murder at least one border agent and hundreds of mexicans "worth fighting for?" Was the coverup by obama, holder and the media, and eventual outrageous claim of executive privilege of F & F documents "worth fighting for?". Please tell me what is "worth fighting for?" I´m always enlightened by experts on everything.

Am I supposed to care about any of this?! I´ve dropped out of the 24 hour news cycle and have no idea why this is supposed to be satire. It´s only satire if you are ridiculing people who care about these things, and since I don´t care about any of this than the satire is meaningless to me.

NEW YORK - A company that promised sightseer tours to the Bronx that included a New York City "ghetto" has stopped the bus rides under protest from an outraged neighborhood. Real Bronx Tours, which took mostly European tourists from Manhattan to see life in the South Bronx "from a safe distance," issued a statement this week saying it would immediately cease all tours there. Three times a week, the $45 ride took visitors past food-pantry lines, a housing project and a park a guide described as a pickpocket hangout. Tourists were told they´d get a look at

Good for your body; terrible for the planet. Greek yogurt has seen an astronomical growth in sales over the past half decade — but it may be taking an unexpected toll on the environment. (Snip) Not only would that be illegal, but whey decomposition is toxic to the natural environment, robbing oxygen from streams and rivers. That could turn a waterway into what one expert calls a "dead sea," destroying aquatic life over potentially large areas. Spills of cheese whey, a cousin of Greek yogurt whey, have killed tens of thousands of fish around the country in recent years.

WASHINGTON -- Michelle Obama said Wednesday that stories of toil and sweat by slaves once held at a historic home within sight of the White House are an important part of U.S. history, including her own personal story, and are "as vital to our national memory as any other." The first lady commented as American Express announced its donation of $1 million to the White House Historical Association to preserve Decatur House and pay for education programs for children. The nearly 200-year-old house is owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and operated by the association.

Here’s an indication of how burdensome student loans have become : About one-third of millennials say they would have been better off working, instead of going to college and paying tuition. (Snip) Delinquencies are also on the rise. The number of borrowers who are at least 90 days late on student loan payments has jumped from 8.5% in 2011 to 11.7% today, according to a study by the New York Federal Reserve. The problem sometimes is that not all college educations are worth their cost since they can’t guarantee a high-paying job to help pay off that student debt.

WASHINGTON - iPad maker saving billions of dollars in U.S. taxes through Irish subsidiaries and told lawmakers that his company backs corporate tax reform, even though it may end up paying more. The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has found that Apple in 2012 alone avoided paying $9 billion in U.S. taxes, using a strategy involving three offshore units with no discernible tax home, or "residence." Cook, in his first congressional testimony since becoming Apple CEO in 2011, said his company is a major taxpayer, handing over nearly $6 billion in cash to the U.S. government in 2012.

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
