Sharyl Attkisson Asks Libya
Questions The Media Won´t

Big Journalism, by John Nolte

Today while almost all the media was gushing over outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton´s theatrical and less than forthcoming Senate testimony about events in Libya, CBS News´ investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson tweeted out a penetrating series of unanswered questions that both the White House and its media minions will ensure are never answered. Some examples:

If the White House truly didn´t know what happened and if Obama was not aware of the early refusals of security and more protection for American personnel, they would be trying to find those responsible. As the saying goes, their silence tells us all we need to know. BHo is guilty as hell and so is the broomstick rider.

with the exception of Senator Johnson today, the republican committee members were lousy at asking questions, and lousy at asking followup questions.

Sharyl is the fire behind ´fast and furious´ too...Without her findings, we might never have known about it.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- A man is facing charges after deputies say he was flying a video camera-equipped drone that hindered the landing of a medical helicopter at an accident scene. Kele Stanley, of Springfield, said he´s been unfairly charged and would have landed it immediately if he knew the medical helicopter was en route. "I´m not an idiot," he said. The hobbyist was flying the $4,000 drone over a crash scene on Saturday morning to shoot photos and video. Authorities said both fire officials and a Clark County sheriff´s deputy told Stanley to stop flying his remote-controlled

The administration’s “smart diplomacy” does not include providing aid to those who fight internal oppression or outside aggression and whose victory potentially would obviate the need for direct U.S. action. Hence, President Obama gave Iran’s Green Revolution the cold shoulder in June 2009. He denied aid, and then dragged his feet on delivering aid to non-jihadi rebels in Syria. Now, it should come as no surprise, he is unwilling to provide Ukraine with military aid or intelligence to defend itself against Russian aggression.

Census Survey Revisions

WASHINGTON — The Census Bureau, the authoritative source of health insurance data for more than three decades, is changing its annual survey so thoroughly that it will be difficult to measure the effects of President Obama’s health care law in the next report, due this fall, census officials said. The changes are intended to improve the accuracy of the survey, being conducted this month in interviews with tens of thousands of households around the country. But the new questions are so different that the findings will not be comparable, the officials said. An internal Census Bureau document said that the new questionnaire

Obama Isn´t Inspiring People to Run

Very few of the young Americans who carried President Obama to electoral victory in 2008 have chosen to follow him into public service, The New York Times reports on Monday. Which made us wonder who inspired the current Congress to seek office. The answer? Two Republican stalwarts. There are a lot of caveats that should be applied to the Times story, not the least of which is that most candidates for office tend to skew a little older than the 18-year-olds that cast their first votes six years ago. But regardless, Jason Horowitz writes, "[u]nlike John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan,

The ironworker who parachuted from One World Trade Center said his death-defying leap was “amazing,” but it’s not something he would try again. “No, I wouldn’t do it again,” said James Brady, 32, who BASE jumped off the roof of the tallest building in the nation last September, along with two fellow thrill-seekers. “It’s amazing,” he told The Post when asked to describe the now-infamous plunge. “If you could take the realest, happiest moment of your life and relive that, that’s what it’s like.” “It’s just the realest moment you can experience,” said Brady, who faces serious criminal charges for the stunt. He was indicted

SYDNEY—An unmanned vehicle was due to begin searching the Indian Ocean seabed for wreckage from Malaysia Airlines 3786.KU -2.33% Flight 370 on Monday, as authorities lost hope of detecting any new signals from the missing jet´s black-box flight recorders. Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, who is leading the multinational search, said a series of "ping" signals detected last week by a U.S. Navy black box detector remains the most promising lead in the search for the plane, which disappeared en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on March 8.

Anti Semitism and the Blind Jew

Several years ago, I happened to tune into a radio broadcast called "Jewish News and Views," conducted by Shifra Hoffman. The callers were berating Ms. Hoffman for spreading what they called the myth of rampant anti-Semitism. One man said he was tired of hearing about the Holocaust, and that "we Jews ought to stop whining about it." I called in and identified myself as a Christian who was very much aware of widespread but hidden anti-Semitism. I gave her examples of the anti-Semitic remarks I had heard from people in all walks of life who assumed I shared their views because

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a
