| Prince Harry tonight admitted he ´doesn´t know what normal is anymore´ after arriving back in the UK from his second tour of Afghanistan. The Apache co-pilot gunner has been on post-deployment ´decompression´ at a British military base in Akrotiri, Cyprus, since leaving Helmand province on Monday night. Harry landed at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on a regular personnel flight but did not travel on with his unit, 662 Squadron, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps, to their base in Wattisham, Suffolk. The 28-year-old said a seven-year-old girl was shot down by insurgents on his final day on tour, adding:

As for the criticism of his remarks, Harry will remain a a prime target--and would have even if he hadn´t said a word.

This is rubbish.
Prior to his statements... the Taliban says it wanted to kill the Prince. Now..the Taliban says it again.
Sorry... the Taliban wanted him dead then and now. Nothing new here.
He is a soldier for Pete´s sake..the backlash seems to have come from the Taliban and anti-war activists.
Read the article. The Prince reported that at the end of his tour.. the Taliban shot a seven year old girl...not by accident.

Harry Wales was deployed to Afghanistan by his government to fight in that conflict(?). For God´s sakes he is a pilot/gunner on an Apache Gun Ship...Killing the enemy is what he is paid to do. Apparently, he is pretty good at it.
The Press has no clue;the closest to a conflict or killing they have gotten, is on the City Streets, or in their Colleges. They do not have the collective ´stones´ to go into combat and have some shooting real bullets, while trying to put a hole in their happy Arrses.
Harry is now back home in England, til he is redeployed again. At least He and William are doing what they can to preserve life and sanity in England. Semper Fi!

ANYONE, who has not been in combat has no right to an opinion on the matter. You may not like what the man said, but until you have been there yourself, put a sock in it!
Just how do you think some folks cope with the reality and the necessity of ending the lives of other men? Black humor is one of the traditional, time-tested ways. And the grim humor goes both ways with any combat veteran I have ever known, BTW

Nato has handed over security for the whole of Afghanistan for the first time since the Taliban were ousted in 2001. At a ceremony in Kabul, President Hamid Karzai said that from Wednesday "our own security and military forces will lead all the security activities". A series of shootings this weekend has Chicagoans on edge. A total of 11 separate shootings since Friday night have resulted in seven deaths and at least 30 injuries in the Windy City.
