Clinton: We Needed Access
to More Money for Libya

National Review Online, by Katrina Trinko

Hillary Clinton suggested in the Senate hearing today that lack of access to funds may have contributed to security deficiencies in Libya — a claim that then-State Department official Charlene Lamb explicitly rejected in a November congressional hearing. “With respect to helping the Libyans …we will provide a list of everything we were doing and were attempting to do,” Clinton said, “but I will also tell you that since March 2011, Congressional holds have been placed on programs for many months for aid to Libya. We’ve had frequent Congressional

Comments:
This article does not mention the $2 billion available for security in Benghazi. This hearing is an utter waste of time. It´s sickening to watch.

I wonder who´s job it is to prevent Hill from having the usual rounds of cocktails with lunch.

Hope she get´s lubed up for her PM session.

I want 15 minute Q&A with extensive follow up.

This AM was thin gruel.

"Madame Secretary, having previously served in the Senate, how can you expect "more money" when the Democratic-party held Senate hasn´t passed a budget in four years?

Hitlery, The answer is a categorical NO!

Do you understand NO?

Got it! Benghazi was Congresses fault!

PIAPS needs to be asked:

1. Where are the CIA personnel there on 9/11 and what have they "testified" happened?
2. 0bama claimed during 3rd debate with Mitt that he was aware of attack and told his "minions" to deal with it [I paraphrase]. There was real-time video from drone(s) and phone calls, so how can she claim not to be aware to Senate of what occurred that night? [Where are the audio/visual recordings?]
3. Why do we need to have a host country tell US how to protect our own? If we can´t, especially in the Al Qaeda laced Middle East and Africa, why send any ambassador there to an "embassy." Why not set up shop at UN?
4. Marines are trained to serve and protect, not to be intel destroyers in a firefight. Get CIA to control classified material at embassies. [I don´t believe there was none at Benghazi. If true, why was CIA a mile away?]
5. Where we running any weapons to terrorists anywhere in the region?

Prhaps a bit less luxury for Austria and a bit more security for Libya would have been the way to go?

What say you, PIAPS.

Why have a hearing if the GOP tees up softball questions and lets piaps control the agenda?

Our faint hope is that the GOP shows spine on the House side where they have majority control.

Well, I´m not buying a lottery ticket today -- my bad luck started with seeing several clips of Lying Clinton #2 today. Talk about brazen! She´s got more brass than a hundred gun shows -- no, she´s got more than was ever run through every reloading machine in Texas.

"What difference does it make...." she "asked." Well, the "difference" is that we´d know who´s at fault. That matters in the real world. In D.C., not so much, obviously.

But... again, again, again, the bigger question gets no attention, and it makes me crazy.

That question is: who is responsible for putting our people into obviously-hostile countries/situations, and intentionally denying them well-armed American protectors? Doing so effectively guaranteed the events of 9/11/2012, and the other attacks leading up to that day. Obama and his Administration of America-hating placators of Islam effectively threw our people into the water like chum to draw murderous Muslim piranhas. That´s the real story!

Yeah, basically we know already, but I want hides on the barn door with names, dates, and places. Hides! I want these [pre-deleted] self-absorbed, self-impressed, self-important snots punished for their acts.

She defended Susan Rice, the Little Dick Durbin tried the "blame Bush" approach with "weapons of mass destruction". How about Hillary´s "willing suspension of disbelief"?

The standard democrat solution to a problem always involves more tax payer funding.

Well, maybe if the State Department wasn´t spending close to a BILLION dollars on the new embassy in London, there might be more money available for Libya. However, the need for "more money" doesn´t answer the basic question of who gave the ´stand down´ order, Hillary, that allowed 4 Americans to be murdered.

Clinton: We Needed Access to More Money for Libya. Maybe an audit of the money sent there to see if it found its way to pay off her 2008 Presideantial Campaign run, remember she had a short fall of money. And it has take over five years to payoff.

Hitlary was played by a different actress or just new screenwriter for the Congressional qustions as opposed to the sharp lawyer mouthing the "I don´t remember"..or "I don´t recall..." mind manipulations of the masses of that era. Dems are walking zombies when their maadters pull their trings via a compliant media crowd.

The GOP still milling and mulling? Kudos to those in Congress who are holding the line.

Clinton gave money to Palestinians, Egypt, new embassy in London. Clinton had money to fly anywhere anytime. But Clinton did not have the $10,000 to send a plane to Libya and fly those guys out.

Old people in this country would like a bigger SS check, but that´s not happening either.

What is the total amount taxpayers have sent to the ME since January 2009 ?

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?
