attack during Capitol Hill testimony

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton teared up briefly during testimony before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations as she recounted meeting family members of the four Americans who were killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya. “I stood next to President Obama as the Marines carried those flag-draped caskets off the plane at Andrews [Air Force Base],” said Mrs. Clinton as emotion filled her voice. “I put my arms around the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters.”

We don´t care what you did when the caskets showed up. What did you do to keep these men from being killed?

I detest false sympathy politicians use for political gain or to get them out of a jam. Teared up indeed, you old witch! Just think how the ambassador and Navy Seals felt as they were murdered and no help came from the USA.

Yo..yo...Last time I checked..a human life is universally precious, whether it be adult or child. So how come Obama didn´t weep when our guys were killed in Benghazi? But blubbed it up when the children were killed in Newtown? HIPPO CRITTER maybe? Or just killing a few spec ops guys wouldn´t help him out with his Gun Control agenda?

What bothers me a lot is that there are so many people who want her as president. What does it take to get through to the legions of idiots among us?

Did the smell of onions pervade the room? She stood in front of the world and used those coffins as a prop.

Mrs. Clinton´s tears are fake.

She stood there and told one of those family members that she would go after the guy that made the video! The whole time she knew it was a terrorist attack and didn´t give a toot.

This PIAPS is pure evil.

I´m sure Bubba gave her lessons on fake tears. Remember the memorial service. Laughing one second, wiping a tear a second later after spotting a camera. And biting his lip. What a couple of grifters.

How many of those killed would still be alive if she had taken their warnings seriously?

Liars, crooks, and thieves tear up when they are caught. They are sorry for it -- being caught.

She is a disgrace.

Crying. Grow up Hillary. We need answers NOT tears.

"For crying out loud" seems to be the only appropriate response. How can anyone let their sons and daughters volunteer to be under the command of these people.

I think the current administration may be responsible for these deaths, yet they obfuscate and fabricate stories, and the CRY about it ????? Sorry....I´m not moved by those tears...I´ve seen children cry to avoid getting blamed for something. Hillary´s reaction to these questions is pure childishness.

Actually, #5, I do care what she did and said when the caskets showed up. She stood over the caskets and lied. Both she and The Won referenced the video as the cause of the deaths knowing that wasn´t true. That´s despicable. She´s despicable.

Hillary my recall standing over the coffins of the four Americans that were killed in Benghazi, but I remember what she said after.

Not a single word had a grain of truth.

I dont´ care if Hillary cries through out this entire hearing - four Americans are dead and I want to know why.

As you may have heard, Kevin Williamson made the leap from “National Review writer” to “Great American Hero” last night when he decided that enough was enough, that he could no longer idly stand by and watch the shameful state of affairs in our nation’s theaters go unchallenged, that he had to take matters into his own hands. From his account: The lady seated to my immediate right (very close quarters on bench seating) was fairly insistent about using her phone. I asked her to turn it off. She answered: “So don’t look.

The American ammo shortage has been a boon for foreign ammo makers as ammunition imports into the U.S. doubled during the first months of 2013. According to data from the Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission, imports of ammo cartridges as well as shotguns have just about doubled during the first two months of 2013. For the first two months of 2013, about 457 million cartridges were imported into the U.S. — more than double the amount of cartridges that were imported during the first two months of 2012.

The House was in no rush to take up an internet tax bill that senators approved Monday night. And even if the House takes up the issue, lawmakers said, it will be a bill very different from the Seante´s. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., said to expect “thoughtful” consideration in the House, which will involve committee debate and amendments. The version passed in the Senate by a 69-27 vote “has a long way to go,” Goodlatte said Monday.

The Montgomery County Council approved a trio of pay raises for union employees, which will cost the county almost $32 million in fiscal 2014. The council approved the firefighters, police and county government employees union packages 8-1, with only Councilman Phil Andrews, D-Gaithersburg/Rockville, voting against the contracts. He repeatedly has said they´re too high and unsustainable. Though the packages span two years, the council approved only the first year of the deals, which would give employees an average of 7 to 10 percent raises.

For months now, men have been starving themselves in Guantanamo Bay to get the attention of the American people. And for weeks these men, prisoners of the War on Terror, many of whom have been cleared for release, have had the attention of the White House, which is filled with officials, including the President, who sympathize with the prisoners’ plight. “It’s not sustainable,” President Obama said Tuesday, breaking his silence about the protest against his own government. “I mean, the notion that we’re going to continue to keep over 100 individuals in a no-man’s land in perpetuity."

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
