Matt Damon’s much hyped anti-fracking film “Promised Land” has failed to make the impact that its producers and environmental groups had hoped for. As of January 20, “Promised Land” has raked in a whopping total of $7,542,000 since it opened on December 28, according to Box Office Mojo. According to The Hill, the movie cost $15 million to make. Box Office Mojo ranked it 139 out of all movies from Jan. 23, 2012 to Jan. 21, 2013. Matt Damon said that he didn’t make a biased movie and claimed to have just wanted to start a conversation

Comments:
What a shame. s/o It looks like Damon won´t have himself a movie like that of Erin Brockovich. Which, incidently was largely fraudulent.

So what? Progressives plow on ahead despite the massive failures of the causes they promote. They are only interested in furthering their propaganda, and they can afford to do so.

"Just wanted to start a conversation", which in liberal-speak means, "Just wanted to lecture you ignorant rubes and frighten your impressionable children."

Must See Phelim McAleers FRACKNATION. it exposes the junk science and environazi tactics trying to suppress American oil and gas independence by stopping fracking.
Gasland is the anti fracking documentary propaganda film.
Damon deserves to bomb big time for choosing the anti- fracking LIES.
Fracking will bring American jobs and energy independence.
The Muslims can eat their sand and that´s why UAE funded Damon- they know fracking works and their stranglehold on America is over.

If it has Matt Daimen in it the movie is already off my list to see. Won´t see Leo Decaprio, Alex Baldwin, Sean Penn, Samuel S Jackson, Ben Aflect, and many more loud mouth Hollywood Types. It´s really not hard to avoid these movies because most of them aren´t worth watching anyway. they are like TV, just turn them off.

My family used to go to the movies a couple of times a week; we no longer go to movies. We do not want to give money to morons who promote leftist views, and quite frankly, there are few good movies produced today. Matt Damon is so ignorant and full of himself. I am right now shopping for a new car, and I would never buy a GM product either.

It was funded by fracking´s competition - in this case a wealthy Arab oil nation. The Arabs can afford the loss. If they managed to brainwash a few million more Americans it was worth it. They´ll write it off as ´advertising´.

Flop this idiot´s movie into the trash can. Matt Damon´s knowledge about fracking or anything else is subject to strong challenge.

Illegal immigrants seeking a reprieve under an election-year program implemented by the Obama administration are being approved at a rate of over 99 percent -- a situation that has the immigration officer union raising concerns about fraud and security risks. The program in question is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which allows some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children to seek tentative legal status. It was the administration´s answer to the "Dream Act," a bill Congress drafted but did not approve. The union representing thousands of employees in U.S. Citizenship and

White House Press Sec. Jay Carney told reporters on Tuesday at the daily press briefing that President Barack Obama was not upset with his closest advisors who chose not to inform him of the brewing scandal surrounding the Internal Revenue Service’s systemic targeting of conservative groups. Carney said that the president would not have been able to comment on the Inspector General’s ongoing investigation into the IRS’s abuses and was not upset over being kept out of the loop. “I wasn’t present when he learned about it, but I know that he

Despite the fact that the Obama administration regularly strike at terrorists with lethal drone hits in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, the White House is reportedly not rounding up five suspects identified in the Benghazi attack because of a lack of evidence to try them in civilian court. The Associated Press cites officials who said there is enough evidence to seize the men as enemy combatants and send them to Guantanamo Bay. But apparently the Obama administration wants civilian trials for anyone involved in the Benghazi attack and has sent the FBI back to collect more evidence, which

The Democratic Party´s edge over the GOP on who the public trusts more on ethics and corruption issues has flipped in the wake of the IRS and Benghazi scandals, according to Rasmussen Reports. Not only do voters trust Republicans more now, they have their highest level of confidence in the GOP and the lowest level in Democrats in seven months. While the Democrats had an eight-point "trust advantage" over Republicans a month ago, Rasmussen´s latest poll said that edge has disappeared and now the GOP has a two-point advantage. We need to make sure there´s no political involvement in the administration of the tax system," Lew said. And while the treasury secretary is responsible for

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care?
