We are hearing a chorus condemning in hindsight any conservative who ever won a primary vs a RINO and then lost the general election. They don´t mention the successes that have happened. When you fight you sometimes win and sometimes loose. By listing the losses and never the wins some trolls ( #1 ) are telling us to never fight and never win and go on forever working for RINOS.. Besides Akin was not a good example he was funded by Murkowski - as Romney was supported by Obama. We need to toss the RINOS in favour of real articulate conservatives and stop looking to the RATS for winning advice.

The next recession will probably do us all in. Obama & Co. are currently running massive deficits just to maintain 2% annual GDP. Imagine what will happen if/when that money supply from China gets choked off and our economy is shrinking at the same time? Something will collapse, and it won´t be pretty.

To answer the question, is Liberalism doomed? Yes. It´s going down in the collapse it is bringing about and it is taking us down with it. But, don´t worry, the people who wouldn´t vote for Romney will still have their principles and can still join the Democrats in blaming the Republicans.

The trouble with the GOP is that they are partnering with the Dems on all the entitlement programs so they don´t get any bad press from the msm. If the GOP tries to cut spending they are called racists and worse. Let the moderate and elite Republicans join the Democrat Party. Time for a new party that believes in and adheres to the Constitution. The current GOP leaders will do nothing significant to end the trillion dollar deficits. Any budget they come up with doesn´t get balanced for ten years which we all know will never happen.

Romney was the ideal candidate for Obama because of RomneyCare the basis for Obamacare. He never could really oppose this hated program saying it was good for a state but not for the federal government! Romney was also wealthy, the perfect foil for Obamas demagoguery against the "rich" which was used very effectively. Romney never really rebutted this nonsense. Why not make some comparisons of jobs from Bain Capital vs Obama trillion dollar continuing stimulus? Obamas demonization of Romney began the moment he had secured the nomination. Romney never attacked Obama as he did his rivals for the nomination. There is none so blind as those who will not see!
