| During President Obama´s inauguration today, Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander (R) quoted Alex Haley, the author made world-famous for his Pulitzer Prize-winning literary sensation, "Roots." According to The Washington Post, Haley and Alexander were longtime friends. That´s all well and good, but quoting Alex Haley at an important national occasion is not unlike quoting Lance Armstrong. Because what both men are most famous for is based on brazen fraud. Haley not only lost a high-profile plagiarism suit against his work in "Roots, but any serious look into the Haley family´s genealogy has found -- and I´m being generous --

Unfortunately during the age of Obama it is politically incorrect to criticize a black person for just about anything, even factors relating to outright fraud and criminal behavior. There is no physical danger in ignoring a literary fake, but when you get into disciplines like mathematics and medicine it is another story and that is bound to happen.

#3, you are completely wrong. It is just as acceptable, if not more so, to criticize a black conservative as a white conservative, especially if otherwise their behavior might be viewed as exemplary.

Lamar is a very big mistake that we Tennesseans made. He is the RINO´s RINO! A huge embarrassment to everyone in TN. He is a liar and a Demonrat brown noser. He makes me sick. I see him at the airport and he is so smug and arrogant. It is as though he thinks he is some kind of "Lord over the People" or something. I called his office when the START treaty was being negotiated and his staff flat out lied to me and I will never forget it. Came out in the local paper 2 weeks later, that he gave in to the START treaty to allow the union pensions to be funded as part of the treaty. He mysteriously never mentioned that before. I can´t stand the sleaze ball. Can you tell?

"Roots" was a very good movie. If you run it backwards it has a happy ending.

Great timing on this... a friend just told me last week about "Roots" and the plagiarism charges.
Somehow I had missed the news.
The worst part (from Haley´s standpoint) of this article is the blatant falsehood/s pinpointed by the genealogy experts.
Poor ol´ Kunta Kinte is/was a fraud. We wuz hoaxed. Who knew? Who´d a thunk it? Who dat say dat Kunta Kinte be a fraud?
Why... Obie WON Kenya-obie... dat who... He a Chief of Fraud... and JoeBlow Buh-Bye-den be his Plagiarism Czar, doncha know?
Perfect, then, that a RINO Senator (Lamar Alexander) would introduce more fraud into the Obie WON Kenya-obie Fraud Festival in DC... Who really needs Kwanzaa any more when you can stage an internationally-seen Quadrennial Fraud Festival on the Washington Mall and Capitol Steps... ?
(Side note -- my dad knew Alex Haley a little bit, but not that much... ohhhh, wellll... )

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

The president hasn’t attempted to distance himself from the Associated Press snooping campaign. To the contrary, he offered “no apologies.” To be blunt, he approves the most invasive breach of the First Amendment against any news organization in the history of the republic. No president has tried this and for good reason. We now have yet another media abuse story, in a way much more severe. The Post breaks the story that the Obama administration indulged in excruciatingly invasive spying on James Rosen of Fox News and, in an unprecedented move, asserted that his newsgathering is criminal.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
