WASHINGTON — Addressing the issue of gun control, singer-songwriter James Taylor told The Daily Caller that Americans “need to make some sacrifice[s] to our freedoms” in order to keep children safe. Following his performance at President Obama’s second inauguration, TheDC asked Taylor if he agreed with Obama’s executive actions on gun control. “I think the nation is very divided on gun control,” Taylor told TheDC, “but I think the majority of us feel strongly — even the majority of gun owners feel strongly — that

Comments:
These morons are too blinded by their ideology to see how dangerous this way of thinking is. Of course those required to make those "sacrifices" are only the peons in society.

I have made more than enough sacrifices in my lifetime for national safety, only to have those sacrifices flushed away by communists from within.
Now I sacrifice over 50% of my paycheck in fed, local and state taxes, mostly for boondoggles, graft and lazy people. I´m done sacrificing.
Now you want my irons? Come and get ´em. You wont like your reception.

I think all these celebrities need to lead by example. For example, give away most of their money, truly reduce their carbon footprint to a regular persons and give up all their personal security. I´d also move them into a 2,000 sq ft. house (at most) in a "diverse" neighborhood. After a couple years of that, we´ll talk, but I´m still not giving up my freedoms.

Dear James Taylor,

I ´sacrificed´ 34 years of my life in the service of my country and the defense of our Constitution.

I have earned the right to keep my weapons.

You, on the other hand, spit in the face of millions who fought so that you could be free to rake in big bucks.

You have earned only contempt.

On Wednesday, CNN anchor Jake Tapper dug into the controversial way in which members of President Barack Obama’s administration have apparently tried to intimidate whistleblowers in the government and the journalists that would investigate their stories. Tapper said that some, including the New York Times editorial board, have described the administration’s actions as “threatening fundamental freedoms of the press.” He warned Obama’s supporters to remember the precedent his administration is setting when a Republican next occupies the Oval Office. The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

There’s really no reason for the press to suggest that the recent slew of scandals involving the Obama administration — Benghazi, the AP phone-record seizure, the snooping in James Rosen’s e-mail, the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups, and so on — are a confusing jumble. There is a very clear thread running through all of the administration’s actions: The U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, Gregory Hicks, says that he was told not to speak to a member of Congress about Benghazi without a State Department lawyer present, that he received a phone call from Hillary Clinton’s
