Sasha Obama yawn, Michelle
Obama eye roll entertain during
inaugural festivities

At just 11 years old, Sasha Obama has lived most of her life in the limelight, first as the daughter of a rising star candidate, then as the youngest member of the first family. In addition to the pressure to excel at all the things most 11-year-olds must deal with--homework, after school sports, navigating the awkward pre-teen phase--Sasha has to sit attentively at many of her dad´s long speeches under the watchful eyes of the cameras and millions of views across the country. Most days, she wears it well, bearing official events with patience beyond what

Yawning is ok for an 11-year-old. Eye-rolling and refusal to speak to John Boehner when he is seated next to you is not okay for an adult woman, much less the First Lady.

We have to excuse the children. They have terrible parents.

As for the First Lady, we must remember..she is no lady.

I do not care what any of the obama family do or say, I hit the remote the minute they appear. It makes me feel ill to think of this skanky family in the white house.

Pressure to excel? I´ll bet those two kids get straight A´s at Sidwell without doing squat. What ultra lefty teacher at an ultra lefty school is going to give the daughters of the first black president anything but A´s? They are the ultimate in affirmative action - they get credit just for having DNA.

The girls are their mother´s kids. Always bored, sullen, unless clowning with each other. Madam Queen is another juvenile, ill-equipped to teach her young proper public behavior.

If they´re excelling at Sidwell, how come the Obamies had to trek to school for so many teacher conferences?

Hit submit too so. Classy Mooch - chowing down on her 3,000 calorie ´lunch´ . Check out the classic truck driver pose ( no offense to truck drivers ), hunched over on one arm while shoveling in the food. I guess those "Chicago values" don´t include table manners.

She beat Speaker Boehner to the ignore and refused to meet his glance. The final insult was the eye rolling. Apparently, it’s unwise to get in michelle’s way at feeding time.

Although it’s tiresome to cite the predictable media double standard, just suppose the roles had been reversed, and the Speaker had rolled his eyes at michelle? Do you suppose the nytimes would have written a big editorial about the decline of civility in politics, and blamed all of it on the GOP?

michelle obama is an elitist snob with a mean streak. (sorry about being the master of the obvious) To quote a line from a Clint Eastwood movie, the woman has "the manners of a goat and the breath of a whisky bottle."

Hey, give her a break. Almost every dog I know will growl if a stranger gets near its food.

And what about the prez, chomping on gum, like a man without a care in the world. He is an embarrassment to the office he holds. Shame on any American who voted for this man.

There´s an SNL sketch here. I dare them!

I´m picturing her to Christ´s right in the Last Supper.

I never thought about the "Truck driver pose". #7 hit the nail on the head with that one.

One more post to say that as much as I dislike Mrs. Obama, she looked lovely yesterday, particularly in the belted coat. The children´s outfits were tasteful and cute and it was obviously a momentous day for them. We should be more careful with our snark.

I can understand Sasha´s yawn, would probably have done the same, but mom should have taught her to cover her mouth when yawning.

But Michelle, the clip of her sitting next to John Boehner, elbow on the table and shoveling food into her mouth while rolling eyes - that says it all. How rude.

She is graceless but what, really, do you expect of her? I expect nothing and am richly rewarded.

Kids, I get. If you didn´t know, the Obamas are the first couple ever to be in love. Actually, I think they invented marriage or at least perfected it.

Poster 11, the video is available on the original article posted here. I scrolled down and watched it again about 5 minutes ago.

Poster 13, respectfully, it´s not snarky to point out michelle obama´s boorish table manners and rudeness. As for the moral high ground, what does that get conservatives? Nothing. Democrats are vicious. In the political discourse, democrats spew cut throat lies about GOP as a matter of course. As Leo Durocher said, “nice guys finish last. “

Re Michele and the eye roll -- I´ve already heard the laugh about it (because it´s no big deal, don´t you know) and the light commentary, "I wonder what he said" In other words, it must be the Speaker´s fault.

#9 -- what a terrible thing to say about dogs.

The entire family could use some time in a Southern charm school. No phone/texting at church or a serious occasion. Only cows chew cuds, Mr Pres. Keep your elbows (and forearms) off the table and take small bites, put your fork down between bites. Even an 11 yr old should know to stifle a yawn in public even if her father is boring the life out of her.

What difference does it make if they show up dressed "tastefully" if their behavior is boorish and unmannerly?

Gracin’s handler quickly stepped in, nodding to the recording device in my hand and helpfully reminding him that he was on the record.

The Obama Administration fought to keep a search warrant for James Rosen’s private e-mail account secret, arguing to a federal judge that the government might need to monitor the account for a lengthy period of time. The new details are revealed in a court filing detailing a back and forth between the Justice Department and the federal judges who oversaw the request to search a Gmail account belonging to Rosen, a reporter for Fox News. A 2009 article Rosen had written about North Korea sparked an investigation; Ronald C. Machen, Jr., the U.S. Attorney who is prosecuting Stephen Jin-Woo Kim,

As Democrats and the media continue to hammer Virginia lieutenant governor hopeful E.W. Jackson for his past comments on social issues, the Christian minister says he is battling what he calls the “mainstream media’s caricature” of him. In an email sent to The Daily Caller this week, the running mate to Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli said “every one of those comments has a context and were spoken in my role as a minister, not as a candidate.” In particular, the black Republican took issue with the media’s outrage over his comments on abortion.

Politico reporter Jonathan Martin is jumping from the six-year-old politics site to become the national political correspondent for the New York Times. A release from the New York Times says this is a big move: The job is a storied and special one at The Times, and has been home to such giants as Robin Toner, Adam Nagourney, Rick Berke, and, of course, R. W. Apple. As big a move as it is for the New York Times, it may be double for Politico, for Martin offers the sort of reporting that the site badly needs.

We’ve seen a number of disastrous appearances by administration figures and a couple outstanding ones from State Department whistleblowers. Here’s some tips for those who follow: 1. Don’t lie. As I pointed out earlier today, Eric Holder both in writing to a court and in testimony to the House created some real questions about his role in the James Rosen subpoena. Other conservatives spotted a more egregious statement (if in fact he signed off on the affidavit): “In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, this is not something I’ve ever been involved in,

Speaking through a cold and building rain, the president told the 1,047 graduates and nearly 36,000 attendees gathered for the Naval Academy´s 163rd commencement that they represent an institution that has maintained the nation´s trust at a time when Americans have lost faith in other organizations. The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center.
