| An inaugural official told reporters that "at least" 1 million people were on the National Mall for President Obama´s swearing-in ceremony. If the figure is accurate, a crowd of around 1 million would put attendance at about 55 percent of the 2009 crowd. The city of Washington, D.C., estimated that 1.8 million people packed the Mall last time to watch Obama get sworn in for his first term. Washington, D.C.´s, Metro system reported that ridership was about 63 percent of 2009´s record-shattering Inauguration Day.

Some people are easily entertained. Like being present with rapturous attention for the whole time the paint dries. That´s your typical democrat liberal. Keep touching it until you´re sure it´s dry and then have to touch it up some. Clean up twice and then complain that the paint didn´t dry right.
Nothing like your average conservative, paint the thing and go do something else.

Probably the same number of people that went the first time wanted to go back.
But when you don´t have a job or car or house to live in any more because of NØbamanomics, and your kids are starving and don´t have any medicine, you really can´t afford to just jaunt off to DC whenever you want.
Of course, that didn´t stop most of them from voting for him again. As Ron White so stoically said a few years ago ´´you can´t fix stupid!!!!!

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Federal forecasters are predicting yet another busy hurricane season. Thursday´s outlook calls for 13 to 20 named storms, seven to 11 that strengthen into hurricanes and three to six that become major hurricanes. Islamist militants have staged twin suicide car bombings on an army base and a French-run uranium mine in Niger, killing at least 20 people in retaliation for the country´s military involvement in neighbouring Mali. Niger´s Defence Minister Mahamadou Karidjo said the last Islamist was neutralised at the army base and denied early reports that a suicide attacker had held young army recruits hostage. The attacks come just four months after al-Qa´ida linked militants seized a desert gas plant in neighbouring Algeria in a siege that left 38 hostages dead, also in retaliation against the intervention in Mali.

WASHINGTON — Yemen welcomed President Barack Obama´s decision Thursday to lift a moratorium on transferring prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to the Gulf country. Obama announced the decision in a major speech outlining a new bid to close the "war on terror" prison, saying history will "cast a harsh judgment" on the offshore detention program and those who failed to end it. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance.
