President Barack Obama´s communications director, Dan Pfeiffer, says that our political system isn´t "worthy" of Obama and the opportunity the president presents. He made the remarks the Washington Post. “There’s a moment of opportunity now that’s important,” Pfeiffer tells the paper. “What’s frustrating is that we don’t have a political system or an opposition party worthy of the opportunity.” The issue is that if President Obama wants to get things done, he´ll have to work with the uncompromising Republicans."If he is successful, his record could include a variety of legislative achievements
Comments: Things that make your jaw drop open. I have never in my lifetime seen more arrogant, traitorous jerks occupying the White House. It is just astonishing what they are emboldened to say. Someone needs to take them down a few notches. Sadly, I don´t know of anyone able to do so.
What Obama wants is not a country of free peoples whom he can govern - and really, if we are truly free, we don´t need all that much governing - he wants an ant farm he can be master of. Crawl over here, dig a hole over there, move this pile of sand to that pile of sand, and I will sprinkle grains of sugar over all.
These political groupies and fanboys don´t know or care how the system is supposed to work. They are dogmatic fanatics who think they have all the answers and that anyone who dares to disagree is evil, stupid, or crazy. This mindset reflects the massive, in fact catastrophic failure of genuine liberal (as in broad-minded, widely informed) education since the Sixties. America is besieged by militant partisan drones who literally cannot conceive of any reason everyone would not share their personal beliefs.
I believe what he is alluding to is, You damn Americans are not good enough to have zero dictate how you should live your lives. Therfore, you had better like any screwing you get from us marxist thugs.
Yep, he´s Washington, Lincoln, T. Roosevelt and Jefferson combined, except for, you know, any accomplishments. All of his purported "achievements" have already failed, and the one success he can point to he didn´t even want to agree to. His underling had to force him to give the "Go" order for that one. The only opportunity he presents is for even further failures and derision. Dan Pfeiffer must be a comedy writer for Stewart or Colbert on the side and another four years of obama/biden will be good for him. The good satirists are going to lampoon this stuffed shirt now that he´s not running for office again. Second terms are always when the sharper comments come out.
No one has had more control over the political system than Obama after his first inauguration. He had 60 votes in the Senate and a large majority in the House. He couldn´t get things done because he was to the left of enough members in this own party and he was unwilling to lead. He´s completely unworthy of his role.
Most of us on this site knew prior to 2008 that Obama, along with his handlers & hangers-on were unlike any to ever wield the levers of power in the history of this country. However, they are not completely unfamiliar to us who have dealt with maladjusted children. We know that they will do a great deal of damage before they are stopped.
The headline is absolutely correct. The U>S> is not good enough for this man. Therefore, he should pack up and leave us to our own devices. Betcha we do darn well without him to unite and guide us. in fact, we will be 1000% better off.
These people have absolutely NO understanding of why 49% Americans find ´he´ and his cadre of ´fellow thinkers´ ......... and the direction they are taking us ........ a horrific continuing nightmare ........... and they don´t care!
For four years it has gotten progressively worse .......... and will do so exponentially for four more years! They castigate and name-call ALL those who differ are not following their mind set.
We are not any of those appellations thrown at us ......... and we grieve as we see our beloved Nation and Constitution dismurked (sec.) ..... and the generations of those dying for it, betrayed.
´What can we do?´ We do not want to live in ´his´ world .............. We cannot afford to go into exile abroad and suicide being morally an anathema ........... we await knowing like those in 1921 Russia, 1933 Germany and 1949 China ...... the noose is closing around our necks.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill´s 1946 Speech ...........
"a dark curtain has descended across the Continent .......... the dark ages may return ............ I have never lost faith in destiny, even in the darkest hours,I will not lose faith now ........ fifth columns constitute a growing challenge and peril to Christian civilization."
"these are somber facts but we should be most unwise not to face them squarely while time remains ........... do not suppose we shall not come through these dark years of privation as we have come through the glorious years of agony ............"
"with all moral and material forces and convictions the highroads of the future will be clear, not only for our time, but for a century to come."
Take heart fellow countrymen! It was ´he´ who could not abide the bust of Winston Churchill in the White House!
President Obama has recalled John Podesta to work at the White House as a “counselor.” Podesta is the Clinton hand who founded the far-left Center for American Progress (home of the clownish Think Progress blog). Podesta’s appointment, which needs no congressional approval, comes at a time when Obama is already making moves to do without Congress. He has used executive actions to re-write Obamacare, and to recalibrate immigration law, both in ways that just happen to favor either himself or the Democrats. The New York Times reports that Podesta will work on executive actions when he returns to the White
On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, new host Brian Stelter turned to President Obama the press critic. At the end of his cakewalk “Hardball” interview last week, Obama called out the media for being divisive. “The American people are good and they are decent. And yes, we get very divided partly because our politics and our media specifically tries to divide them and splinter them.” Stelter asked a decent question about whether that was an odd statement to make on divisive MSNBC. NPR television critic Eric Deggans shot that down, insisting MSNBC was a “great place” to attack cable news
Former CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed classified information at a 2011 awards ceremony attended by Zero Dark Thirty filmmaker Mark Boal, according to documents obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch. The CIA allowed Boal, the screenwriter of Zero Dark Thirty, to attend a June 24, 2011 award ceremony celebrating the successful raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan that May. A transcript of Panetta’s speech that night obtained by Judicial Watch is labeled “top secret,” and significant portions of it are redacted. At the conclusion his speech, Panetta told the audience, “You have made me proud
UPDATE: Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Patty Murray unveiled a budget proposal Tuesday night. The proposal, which has yet to be voted on, busts through sequester caps, setting FY 2014 spending at $1.014 trillion — billions beyond the levels mandated by sequester. The proposal contains no mention of pension reform. Conservatives had better start paying attention to the budget battle raging in Washington: If things go south — and they are poised to do just that — the tea party’s single greatest policy victory, the sequester, could be destroyed. And worse yet, it could be destroyed in exchange for nothing. The sequester
Approval of ObamaCare in the United States has risen eight percentage points in the last month, according to a new poll. Thirty-nine percent of people now approve of the law, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll released Tuesday evening. Half of the public, by contrast, disapproves of ObamaCare, the poll found. Nearly 60 percent say they don’t think the sign-up process for ObamaCare is going well, but more than one-third say it’s improving. These figures come in just ten days after the administration touted the repaired federal portal for the insurance, HealthCare.gov. Obama’s general job approval rating has increased to 42 percent,
Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.), in an appearance on MSNBC´s "PoliticsNation" on Friday, condemned former Sen. Rick Santorum´s comments comparing Nelson Mandela´s fight against apartheid to the fight against Obamacare as "shameful." "And actually if I was going to make a comparison, I would make the opposite comparison, because I think the struggle for justice, which Nelson Mandela led for so many years is similar as the struggle for the health care as a right for people in the richest country in the world, and so the idea that they would make that comparison in the opposite way is just tragic,"
According to a new Rasmussen Report, the majority of Americans do not believe the deportation of illegal immigrants living in the United States is aggressive enough. More than 20 House Democrats last week urged President Obama to halt the deportation of illegal immigrants until Congress passes a comprehensive immigration reform plan, but voters by a two-to-one margin oppose that idea. Most already think the federal government is not vigilant enough in deporting those who are in this country illegally. Only 29% of Likely U.S. Voters think the government should stop deporting illegal immigrants until Congress passes an immigration reform plan.
On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word. It’s a word that has been with us for years, and like it or not, it’s indelibly
Barack Obama has arrived in South Africa to lead the American delegation at a memorial service for former South African President Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg. But his party is reportedly stuck in traffic and he is said to have arrived late at the stadium for the ceremony. [Snip] But Mr Clinton, Mr Carter and his wife Rosalynn have all traveled separately to the event. According to reports, Mr Obama and his delegation are stuck in a lines of traffic caused by tens of thousands of people making their way to the event. Mr Obama is among the foreign leaders who
