| The ceremonial lunch President Obama and his former congressional colleagues are eating Monday tops out at 3,000 calories, according to a website that has tallied up the luxurious menu of lobster, bison and apple pie. HealthyFoodRecipe.net posted the full menu, complete with its calorie count, and said it was “unsatisfactory” to see such an unhealthy spread, given first lady Michelle Obama’s push for healthier eating. She has come under fire for the high-calorie counts of some of the state dinners she’s hosted at the White House, but other nutritionists have given her a pass,

Saw a photo of Boehner speaking and Bidens glaring at him during the Inaugural Lunch. So much for all the FOX anchors last night putting a happy face on today´s festivities.

The lunch is given by Congress and all arrangements are made by a Congressional Committee which selects the caterer and chef. The menu is approved by the Congressional Committee, not the guests.

Sounds like something Appleby´s kitchen would be perfectly capable of preparing, if given the budget to buy the lobster and bison, which I assume was filet mignon.

We always knew she liked lobster tails. Remember that so-called fake receipt of Michelle´s at the Waldorf Astoria or the Plaza Hotel (one of them) that featured just such lobster tails.

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.
