| They have sleepovers. They go to the movies and to the mall with friends. They get embarrassed by their dad when he dances. They have to make their beds. Sasha and Malia Obama, just 7 and 10 when they moved from Chicago to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. four years ago, are the youngest children to live in the White House since Caroline and John-John romped in the Oval Office a half-century ago. Now 11 and 14, the “smart and steady” Obama girls, as the proud President describes them, are growing up before the nation’s eyes, filling out the First Family portrait

It is the height of narcissism to run for president when you have young, impressionable children. Things would have been much more normal for them as the children of an Illinois senator, with the wife and kids back home.
If children are thrust into the limelight in this instance, it is because of their selfish parents.

I think Zero and Michele use their daughters as shields just the way the Clinton´s, especially Bill, used Chelsea. Obama and Michele only have a relationship for sow, there is no there there. Zero hangs on his older daughter like she is the primary family member in his life. I wonder if the angry second daughter has figured that out yet.

What sort of drugs are these reporters on? These kids are not cute, adorable (babies are adorable - even ugly ones), pretty, well-poised or attractive. Almost all pictures, other than posed, they look sullen, despondent, bored, irate, annoyed and miffed.
To add to their overwhelmingly unattractiveness, is that no one in the WH has a clue how to dress the 1st family. I´ve seen better ensembles at The Goodwill and Salvation Army.
Their seemingly unique attribute, which no prior 1st child can claim, is that they are black and enjoy privileges that rival the children of the British monarchy.
I predict that after they obtain their Affirmative Action, Ivy League degrees we will never hear of them again, as the bloom will fade on the Obama family as the next four years turn into the US´s worst nightmare since FDR and Carter.

A religious group spewing what the owners of One Liberty Place call hate speech against women, whites and gays can no longer demonstrate immediately outside the building´s entrance at 16th and Chestnut Streets, a judge ruled today. WASHINGTON — Schoolchildren from New Jersey shore communities battered by Superstorm Sandy will join Michelle Obama for a garden harvest next week. The White House says the first lady will also be joined Tuesday by students who helped plant the crops last month. The New Jersey students are from Union Beach Memorial School in Union Beach and Long Beach Island Grade School in Ship Bottom. Both schools were damaged in last October’s storm. TRENTON — President Barack Obama will return to New Jersey on Tuesday to survey Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts with Gov. Chris Christie, according to a statement obtained by The Star-Ledger. The visit will mark Obama´s second trip to the shore since the storm hit about six months ago. “As residents and businesses prepare for a busy summer season, President Obama will visit the Jersey Shore with Governor Christie on Tuesday to view the ongoing recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy devastated areas of the coastline last fall," the White House statement says.

In a long-awaited speech at the National Defense University, Barack Obama claimed that the nature of international terror attacks threatening the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001, with ´no large-scale attacks´ on America occurring since then. But his definition of ´large-scale attacks,´ his speech made clear, doesn´t include the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that wounded hundreds, the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that injured dozens and killed four, and the 2009 attack at Fort Hood that killed 13 and injured 30. All those attacks had the potential to leave far more American bodies in their wake than they actually did.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

Longoria, 38, took home a real degree (not an honorary one) in Chicano studies from Cal State Northridge, where she physically attended classes for three years, according to TMZ. "Big day today!!! On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
