“Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned,” reports veteran national security correspondent Thomas E. Ricks. It now appears likely that Gen. Mattis, a Marine Corps legend, will leave his post as head of America’s most important combatant command in March, several months earlier than planned. Ricks continues: Why the hurry? Pentagon insiders say that he rubbed civilian officials the wrong way —

The purge of the Military is necessary to complete the communist takeover of America.

Think of Egypt. First thing they did was gut the military high command and replace it with their political cronies.

A real man doesn´t kiss the ring or boots of liberal sissies. That is why this good man is being hustled to the door. He has committed the unpardonable sin in their eyes. It is sad and scary.

Watch for more of the same. Hitler purged the German Army, and established the SS.

Sickening that journolists like Ricks have access to sensitive information like this. I hope it´s just a guess.

The link to an excellent analysis by Ricks is in the last sentence of this article. It was posted at Foreign Policy. Appears to be open without registration, but because FP is doing so much excellent investigative reporting I have gone ahead and registered to receive some of their bulletins.

From his FP analysis, it is clear that Ricks believes Donilon is at the bottom of this.

Donilon is the bad penny who keeps turning up. The fixer who tampers with our foreign policy issues to protect Obie´s image.

I´m proud of my service 40+ years ago, but I doubt I would want to serve in today´s military.

Sorry for the true Americans who find themselves in uniform today.

Mattis was/is the real deal, a warrior, a patriot. I knew he wouldn´t last with these kiss-the-Islamic-ass domestic enemies (like Donilon) now running the country.

It sounds like Donilon is taking over as Foreign Policy czar. Disagree with him and you´re gone. I wonder if Kerry really want to be his stooge.

As most of us have already figured out, there´s no room for patriots in Obama´s military...

Reply 15 - Posted by: BuckeyeRon, 1/21/2013 12:33:24 PM     (No. 9130120)

Donilon is not taking over, he has been the foreign policy czar...Donilon is the one who capped the first Natl Security Advisor, Marine Gen Jones, and then replaced him...he also manuevered Patreaous from Afghanistan and a potential run for president to CIA. gave GenP´s wife a cushy jobs and then set him up once the election passed...as #9/#10 and I have pointed out repeatedly since Benghazi, this former Fannie Mae chief lobbyist and Clinton era State Dept appointee, has a brother who is counselor to the VP, wife who is chief of staff for Jill Biden, and now, deputy who will become the next WH chief of staff...

Reply 16 - Posted by: earlybird, 1/21/2013 12:53:14 PM     (No. 9130173)

Donilon has been a power player for some time. This puff piece in the New York Times in late September (just after Benghazi) unintentionally reveals things about him and his position that are very disturbing:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/24/us/politics/tom-donilon-a-manager-of-overseas-crises.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

We now know, thanks to theconservativetreehouse.com, that he and McDonough were "on duty" during the Benghazi raid when Obie and Biden were said to be on the phone with Netanyahu and not to be disturbed.

BTW, in case "Mattis" doesn´t ring a bell, he´s the guy who got in hot water during the Iraq War by making the outrageous statement that it was fun to shoot terrorists. In the Age of Obama, we can´t have that, can we?

The fact that we´re losing that war is no coincidence.

Things could hardly have broken better for Republicans these last few weeks -- a trio of scandals, all combining to embarrass the Obama administration at the same time. But now, a growing number of Republicans are worried their party will screw it up. For every cry of "impeachment," there´s a louder cry from the GOP establishment not to get too far ahead of themselves, at least not yet. Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus says he´s not worried about a "political strategy," instead he´s "concerned with" the same thing "the American people are concerned with," which is "just getting to

A Navy dolphin training to look for mines off the coast of San Diego found a museum-worthy 19th-century torpedo on the seafloor, military officials said. The brass-coated, retro wonder of technology was one of the first self-propelled torpedoes used by the U.S. Navy. Just 50 of these so-called Howell torpedoes were made and only one other example has been recovered; it sits in the Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, Wash., outside of Seattle. The 130-year-old, 11-foot-long weapon was discovered back in March during a mine-hunting exercise that the Space and Naval warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) was conducting with bottlenose dolphins.

The Department of Defense confirms to NBC 5 Investigates that accused Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan has now been paid more than $278,000 since the Nov. 5, 2009 shooting that left 13 dead 32 injured. The Army said under the Military Code of Justice, Hasan’s salary cannot be suspended unless he is proven guilty. If Hasan had been a civilian defense department employee, NBC 5 Investigates has learned, the Army could have suspended his pay after just seven days. Personnel rules for most civilian government workers allow for "indefinite suspensions" in cases "when the agency has reasonable cause

Not since George Wallace, perhaps, has an Alabamian taken as passionate a stand for a lost cause as the one Jeff Sessions is taking now. Bipartisan immigration legislation is making its way inexorably through the Senate Judiciary Committee. Although its ultimate fate is unclear, its passage by the committee is assured, and conservatives on the panel such as ranking Republican Chuck Grassley (Iowa) and Orrin Hatch (Utah) are doing what they can to improve the bill. Even firebrands such as Ted Cruz (Tex.) and Mike Lee (Utah) are holding fire. Then there’s Sessions. The wiry Southerner is on a one-man

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare.
