Another day,another liberal stunt to put republicans on the defense over protecting rich people and evil corporations.Obama´s passed another legal deadline on submitting his budget and the stall is intentional so the senate dems can do the dirty work.

These tax increases are poison pills knowing the house republicans won´t vote for them but then they can claim they passed a budget,even though it´s not a good faith effort.

Chucky Schumer wants a budget, so they can raise taxes. Never mind that they´re supposed to pass one every year.

Ok, just propse to raise taxes enough across the board to cover the Dems budget...46% increase ought to cover it for this year...

Democrats ability to get elected hinges on their ability to use the public treasury (raising the national debt) to buy votes via entitlements, bailouts and subsidies.

Reduce the spending and Democrats lose their ability to get elected. It is their bread and butter and they WILL NOT cut spending; they will not cut their own throat.

Covering for them is the media which WILL NOT tell the public the truth about taxes. Democrats are lying when they say they are only going to tax the rich, as if it will not affect everyone, only the wealth. It affects everyone and affects the poor more.

When the wealthy are taxed, money set aside for job creation is gone. Products get more expensive, even for the poor. To pay for the debt, the government prints more money devaluing the dollar and what money the poor have is worth less and buys less.

Democrats are leading us into a catch-22 where taxes increase causing more job losses putting more people in the unemployment lines, welfare lines, and medicaid lines adding more cost to the nation forcing it to raise taxes further and the cycle deepens.

And the people of this nation are too stupid to see it! This ain´t rocket science.

He´s right. Republicans are powerless to stop them. This is a fact not recognized by many LDotters who day after day fulminate against "spineless" Repubicans. Every time I read a post demanding that the Republicans do the impossible I cringe and feel more hopeless.

#4, very likely we will get a VAT tax soon, same as Europe (currently over 20%). Libs will start it by saying the moocher class will get exemptions, but that will fade. Will eventually crush the Moocher class, but it will be too late to dent the power base in Washington, by way of elections.

They can put as many Tax increases in the Senate Budget that they want. Then all the Senators get to vote on it to pass it. The key is the Republicans have to have a deficit reduction target that Democrats have to meet. The President talked about $3 in spending cuts for every dollar of tax increase. If they want that rule, fine. If their entire budget is just tax increases they once more slip into the mantra of "Tax and Spend" a noose they´ve slipped with their dance with "Middle Class Tax Cuts" which were only the Bush Tax Cuts, now permanent. Let them put forth their fraud with all tax increases. Start them off. Repeal the "Tax Extenders" just passed in the Fiscal Cliff Bill. That would be $76 Billion of tax increases hitting the special iterests that wedged it into the Fiscal Cliff bill.

Big talk, no follow-up. Even the Dem senators are not likely to vote for the higher taxes, not if they expect to be reelected. So let´s relax and see this fall apart when the Dems fail to pass anything even close to this scare talk.
