Algeria hostage crisis: Most weapons
used in attack came from Libya

Telegraph (UK), by Mélanie Matarese

Most of the weapons used by al Qaeda-linked militants to storm a gas facility in southeastern Algeria came from Libya, the Daily Telegraph has learned. Many of the Islamist terrorists shot their way into the In Amenas compound on Thursday using the AK104 model of Kalashnikov, which was typically used by Libyan rebels in the war against Muammar Gaddafi. They brought F5 rockets that also surfaced in the Libyan war, said the security source. The Islamists wore the same type of outfits that Qatar provided to Libyan National Transitional Council rebels by Qatar – yellow flak jackets with

Will anyone ever ask "Who lost the Middle East and Northern Africa to Islamic terrorists?".

Nonsense, the guns came right out of the back of Eric Holder´s Fast & Furious Mobile Gun Emporium Roadshow.

Libya? Isn´t this the location of the last attack? The attack which murdered our Ambassador? The attack where Americans died, 30 plus persons disappeared never to be seen again? That one? The pResident is certainly attempting to push his luck in the media arena these days. How much longer can that last? The buckets of water are becoming mighty heavy.
If not for foreign media there would be no media at all.

That´s what I was thinking, #4. There is a whole lot more those murders than Obomination and his gang want us to know.

Libya--that´s the place where the Pan Am 103 bomber was from, and where the British sent him home to die, in like, years or something.

The day this terrorist attack started is the day FBI Director Mueller went to Libya to talk with their government about the Benghazi investigation. I´ve seen no news article stating whe3ther Mueller and his security guards got home safely.

Maybe Obama wants guns taken away from Americans is so he can send more to Syria, Algeria, Libya, Mali and Mexico; sort of like our tax dollars, come to think of it.

In celebration of a true American day, George Washington´s birthday....you notice no one calls it George Washington Day and never did.
A nice quote.
"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people´s liberty teeth and keystone under independence ... from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurrences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable ... the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that´s good." George Washington, First President of the United States

And I will bet you the hostages were unarmed.

unbelievable. It took 40 years over 7 administrations for our Libyan policy to work and Obama just trashed the policy with the effect of siding with al Qaeda. It is disastrous on the level of a Mel Brooks movie.

Why does "credible" news come from overseas: Pravda, Telegraph, UKDaily?

Like our interest payments to the Chinese are paying for their military build-up, the avoidance of reporting all the news by the old media is allowing the foreign press to become the go-to place to get this news.

The guns came right out of Ambassador Steve´s warehouse in Benghai...he was selling arms to Al Qaeda..illegally...for Obama...to Al Qaeda...who was transporting the arms through Libya into Turkey...to help to take down Syria and Assad ...to turn that nation state too...over to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Who do you think filled Obama´s campaign offers...to pay for all those voters on the ground across those 5 swing states...
please note Assad is no longer in hiding and has announced he is running for office again...no longer fearful as he has blackmail material ....

That same arms cache from Benghai ...is being used to kill Americans..by Al Qaeda...in Algera. And Obama states we wants to "understand the Muslims" not a scintilla of outrage for what was no doubt torture then murder again...And like Benghazi, Obama will let the Americans be cremated before sent home..so the torture evidence is gone

Obama´s terrorists, Al Qaeda. Obama has armed the enemy...When will ANYONE in office or in the military out him?

FBI Director Mueller knows...Petraese knew...Petraeus immediately went to Benghazi, no doubt to cover and clean it up..Muller last week...not a peep as they continue to lie to Congress and to the American people.

We have a government of traitors and liars who will do anything to further their treasonous communist goals. This is Iran/Contra combined with Watergate on steroids...

And most of the press are as complicit and every bit as evil....letting this president conduct illegal wars with illegally sold arms...against Nator treaties...be on the watch for illegally sold stingers and the musing 30,000 missiles and Manpads.

#18´s post certainly has the ring of truth, whether it is just speculation or based on a lot of facts not available to the average person. Either way there is an enormous cover up going on. Americans have been killed and the best Obama can offer as a reason is a video no one has ever seen?

At some point this administration is going to run out of fingers and toes to plug leaks in the dike. Sadly, when the truth comes gushing out after that dam breaks, there will still be 90% of low info voters who won´t believe the truth or don´t care.

The Obama Administration seems to have a difficult time keeping track of weapons. Perhaps it is this incompetence that is behind their desire for gun control in the US.

Obe gun running again? how else can he pay to avoid a price on his head for claiming he killed Bin Laden.
FYI until all. minor holidays were moved to Mondays George Washington´s and Abe Lincoln´s birthdays were national holidays with no school and all the trappings. After removal protests the words were we have had so many presidents we we will restore a president´s day.
Now how many even remember the dates but don´t be sad we have M. L. King´s birthday to celebrate on any day the one wishes.

Three U.S. senators have identified the missing parts of the response to the Benghazi terror attack. In a statement, Senators Kelly Ayotte, Lindsey Graham, and John McCain list "What We Do Not Know" about Benghazi: We do not know whether the President was made aware of the classified cable that, according to published media reports, Ambassador Chris Stevens sent in August 2012, stating that the U.S. Mission in Benghazi could not survive a sustained assault from one or more of the threatening militia groups that were operating in eastern Libya.

THE soldier butchered in broad daylight by Muslim fanatics yesterday has been named as Drummer Lee Rigby. Lee, 25, is a dad to a young son called Jack and served with 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He served in Afghanistan and was today described as "true warrior" by comrades. His family were told the tragic news in the early hours last night. Sources say he is separated from his wife. Lieutenant Colonel Jim Taylor MBE said: “Drummer Lee Rigby was a dedicated and professional soldier." He added: "An experienced and talented side drummer and machine gunner,

Time magazine has finally obtained the smoking gun we´ve been waiting for from Barack Obama´s radical past: senior prom photos. It was 1979, and a 17-year-old Obama wore a white jacket and "sipped champagne" on a double date with his basketball bud Greg Orme ("They were like brothers") and their companions for the night, one of whom leaked the pictures. But the real highlight is the future president´s yearbook note to Kelli, Greg´s girl. "You are extremely sweet and foxy," he wrote in blue ink and respectable cursive.

British police have made two further arrests and searched multiple properties as they widened their investigation into Wednesday´s fatal hacking to death of a British soldier in broad daylight on a busy London street by two Muslim terrorists. The two arrests, of a man and a woman -- both 29 -- on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, raises the possibility that the gruesome attack was not a so-called "lone wolf" killing as once thought. Earlier it had been reported that the attackers were known to both UK authorities and a radical jihadist group well

In a speech today, President Obama is calling for the transfer for Gitmo inmates to the United States. "The original premise for opening GTMO – that detainees would not be able to challenge their detention – was found unconstitutional five years ago. In the meantime, GTMO has become a symbol around the world for an America that flouts the rule of law. Our allies won’t cooperate with us if they think a terrorist will end up at GTMO. During a time of budget cuts, we spend $150 million each year to imprison 166 people –almost $1 million per prisoner.

Talk about art imitating life. I landed upon a classic movie while surfing TV channels. Kirk Douglas played a down-on-his-luck news reporter. When I began watching the movie, a man named Leo was trapped in a collapsed cave. Douglas managed to crawl within a few feet of Leo and was chatting with Leo, assuring the scared man that he would be rescued ASAP. But secretly, Douglas had other plans. Keeping Leo trapped for at least seven days could revive Douglas´s career. He had exclusive access to Leo. Writing daily updates could produce tremendous financial rewards;

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
