| It is no cliché to note that while all presidents ardently desire second terms they are more often a curse than a blessing. Most of those who have been elected twice in the last century have seen their presidencies run aground for various reasons. George W. Bush had Katrina and the Iraq quagmire. Bill Clinton had Monica Lewinsky and impeachment. Ronald Reagan had Iran Contra. Richard Nixon had Watergate. Lyndon Johnson had Vietnam. Amid the pomp and hope of new beginnings if a second inauguration day always lurk the threat of unseen or dimly understood disasters that sink presidents

The media has shielded Obama from criticism and has created a fiction about his abilities and accomplishments but will they be able to fool the public for another four years of his failures?

The real question is whether the MSM will continue to exist in four more years. They have so undermined their credibility many famous magazines and newspapers are going under.
Eliminate the MSM and you eliminate Obama´s luck. If nothing else, Obama is contributing to their demise and it can´t come soon enough!

#4. in a word, yes. he isn´t lucky. he plays the system (always has) and is excused, forgiven, propped up, covered for and portrayed in all ways as smart, savvy, thoughtful, kind, and a great chess player. absolutely nothing could be further from the truth but there is no one and i mean no one who is willing to publicly say that this "emperor" has no clothes. until one of the main stream media types goes renegade and exposes him, that will NEVER happen. this isn´t luck. it is a conspiracy of dunces.

Exactly, #1. One of his biggest strokes of "luck" came when the Chicago Tribune published the private divorce records of Jack Ryan, the handsome GOP Senate candidate. Mr. Ryan had withdrawn already, in the hopes that his private life would remain private, but the records were published anyway. This same newspaper, or any other Chicago one, has no interest why Michelle lost her law license or anything else related to the Obamas.

Luck? I don´t think so. It´s more like - well you know. A second term just gives obama more time to screw the American public over and over again.

Zero is the timely beneficiary of a two generation long assiduous effort to create a welfare state, an army of depepedent leeches whose numbers have been steadily growing. Add to it vicious racial divisiveness and a completely disoriented Republican Party only too wiling to nominate loser after loser. You don´t NEED luck after that.

Remember what Rush has always said about this. What the media makes, they also destroy when they are finished using it. That is why he doesn´t give a fig what the media says about him.
And when enough publications go down in flames, and the screaming of the liberals regarding their paychecks gets loud enough, they will turn on him quickly enough. It will not be pretty.

I hope and pray that someday (one day soon) someone will come forward with (even one, even tiny) a piece of "evidence" that Duh Wun thought he had buried deep enough to never see the light of day.
Maybe it will be a bombshell (like a photocopy of his original application to college and request for foreign aid money to pay for it) with authentication that the rest of MS-pravda can´t keep it buried.
Once the first "revelation" has gone viral, the journ-O-listers will be jumping over each other to reveal something else before they get left behind. Most of them are related to sharks or vultures, anyway.
From the first to the point of absolutely no support for the administration will take maybe two weeks, Congressmen will be trying to be the first to file impeachment charges, and they will have a plethora of reasons to select from, possibly finding some that will include "conspiracy" charges for VP Biden and/or former Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Liberals used to love to quote the (apparently apocryphal) line from a Sinclair Lewis character “When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and waving a cross.” Wonder if they’re reflecting on that this week? We knew that early in the first term, the White House attempted to exclude a news agency from pool reports. Now come revelations that the Justice Department engaged in sweeping eavesdropping on AP journalists; that the IRS targeted conservative private citizens while favoring liberal ones; that the EPA charged fees to conservatives groups while waiving them for “green” activists;

MOORE, Okla. — Spotlights bore down on massive piles of shredded cinder block, insulation and metal as crews worked through the night lifting bricks and parts of collapsed walls where a monstrous tornado barreled through the Oklahoma City suburbs, demolishing an elementary school and reducing homes to piles of splintered wood. At least 51 people were killed, including at least 20 children, and those numbers were expected to climb, officials said Tuesday. The storm stripped leaves off trees and left scores of blocks in Moore barren and dark. Rescuers walked through neighborhoods where Monday´s powerful twister flattened home after home

Steve wrote this morning about a hearing being held this week by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, in which Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, will testify tomorrow. The subcommittee apparently is trying to highlight supposed tax avoidance on the part of American companies, as the Associated Press reports: Apple Inc. employs a group of affiliate companies located outside the United States to avoid paying billions of dollars in U.S. income taxes, a Senate investigation has found. The world’s most valuable company is holding overseas some $102 billion of its $145 billion in cash, and an Irish

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) asked Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate election integrity org True the Vote and its associated Tea Party group, King Street Patriots, immediately before the IRS and DOJ began targeting the group in June 2010. Rep. Jackson Lee sent a letter to Holder which alleged that True the Vote was intimidating voters and their election monitors were crossing the line in unspecified “instances” of voter intimidation. The letter went on to directly assert that the “alleged events” were factual and that the True the Vote effort was behind the crimes

Gunmaker Smith & Wesson tops the list of best businesses in bright blue Massachusetts — after not making the list at all last year — a new report in the Boston Globe found. The 161-year-old company, based in a state with some of the stricter gun control laws in the nation, tried to diversify its holdings by acquiring a security company in recent years, only to do an “about-face” by focusing on its product line, the newspaper said in its explanation of the Springfield firm’s top spot. “We went back to what we do best, which is handguns,”

Journalists, First Amendment watchdogs and government transparency advocates reacted with outrage Monday to the revelation that the Justice Department had investigated the newsgathering activities of a Fox News reporter as a potential crime in a probe of classified leaks. Critics said the government’s suggestion that James Rosen, Fox News’s chief Washington correspondent, was a “co-conspirator” for soliciting classified information threatened to criminalize press freedoms protected by the First Amendment. Others also suggested that the Justice Department’s claim in pursuing an alleged leak

Perhaps no other IRS official is more intimately associated with the tax agency´s growing scandal than Lois Lerner, director of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations Division. Since admitting the IRS harassed hundreds of conservative and Tea Party groups for over two years, Lerner has been criticized for a number of untruths—including the revelation that she apparently lied about planting a question at an American Bar Association conference where she first publicly acknowledged IRS misconduct. Still, Lerner has her defenders in the government and the media. Shortly after the scandal broke, The Daily Beast published an article headlined "IRS Scandal’s Central

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

WASHINGTON – White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said Sunday Republicans owe Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, an apology for alleging she played a part in formulating the White House’s response to the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, last year that killed four Americans. Pfeiffer said on ABC’s “This Week” that the release of more than 100 pages of Benghazi emails and notes show “beyond a shadow of the doubt” that accusations she tried to change the narrative of what happened in the attacks was false. "And, frankly, I think that many of the Republicans
