The complicit media trumpets these sad stories with glee. It fulfills their boyfriend in the White House´s agenda. They are loathe to publish the occurrence of people defending themselves with weapons against criminals which occurs more frequently.

This story shows how misinformation is spread and, as a result, produces bad policy. From the story: "Lanza, who killed himself as police closed in on him, was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle." Lanza did NOT use an AR-15 which is hardly an "assault rifle" in any case. "As NBC admits in the video above, four handguns were used to carry out that despicable atrocity." http://www.ijreview.com/2013/01/30208-nbc-admits-no-assault-rifle-used-in-newtown-shooting/ This, of course, does not lessen the horror or the Newtown tragedy but is, once again, evidence of how the MSM misrepresents facts, possibly due to its own political agenda.

This incident is probably yet another hoax perpetrated by Zippy, the Muslim brotherhood and the MSM to take away our guns...and it´s not the first time. Evidence shows that the Newtown shootings were staged in Hollywood using actors and extras culled from the MSM, and directed by ODrama himself. It´s all a ruse to disarm Christians and place them into "Reassignment" camps in Western Arizona.

It would be pretty convenient to have that happen, until I had to shoot an intruder...

The leftists have turned semiautomatic rifles into lifelike objects, just the way they did with evil SUVs.
And the media include these rifles even when they have not been used.
Nice.

Apparently #5 forgot to turn the sarcasm off. I don´t believe a lot of things I hear in the media, and Obama´s exploitation of a tragedy is despicable, but real people buried their real children in Newtown. Anyone spouting the insane theory that it was all staged should be ashamed.

Whatever you believe or want to believe that happened in Newtown...the questions are still there. Nobody is doubting that children were killed. The question is: ultimately by whom and by what motivation. Why, for example, was there printed online a call for contributions in memory of the Sandy Hook school children - two days BEFORE the shootings? That´s just ONE of the things that lead level-headed Americans to be suspicious of their government. In an age when you cannot trust the media or the government - don´t trust the media or the government.

No. 10, thank you for calling out No. 5. No. 5, if you really believe what you wrote, do some more research because that´s a pretty weird and paranoid thing to say.

No. 11, there´s a part of me that laughs and agrees with you! From the age of 13 to 20 is a dangerous time for boys - even the "normal" ones! But it´s during that age range where their emotions can reach overblown proportions.

We know nothing about this latest family tragedy - lets wait and see. But parents with guns and without them, remember your own teenage years and treat your kids with love and respect and reason.

If only drive-bys and other urban shootings got this much coverage.

In Stockton, California the local cable access channel shows posters offering rewards for information pertaining to unsolved murders every day. Some of these killings have been unsolved for years. No one wants to "snitch", you know.

Funny that none of the gun grabbers are concerned with this kind of crime. Perhaps it´s because they know it won´t stop when they confiscate guns from law-abiding citizens.

As I understand it, there were some 15+ shootings in Chicago over the weekend.
Let me know if you seen any national news reporting it, though. (Bearing in mind that Chicago had 500 murders via guns in 2012).

- As promised on Monday, the Justice Department today released its new criteria for inmates who want their prison sentences reduced. Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole announced six "stringent standards" the department will consider when reviewing and expediting clemency applications from federal inmates. He also replaced the Bush administration appointee who heads DOJ´s Pardons office. Under the new initiative, DOJ will prioritize clemency applications from inmates who meet all of the following requirements:-- They are currently serving time in a federal prison and likely would have received a substantially lower sentence if convicted of the same offense(s) today;

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- A Fort Carson commander who wasn´t allowed to leave for Afghanistan with his troops last month was suspended over allegations that he was insensitive to victims of sexual assault and discrimination, a newspaper reported Tuesday. The details were reported in The Gazette (http://bit.ly/1k3YHKd) based on a 361-page investigative report it obtained under the Federal Freedom of Information Act. It provided the first account the Army has released about the suspension of Col. Brian Pearl and offers a view into how sensitive the issue of sexual assault has become for the Army. Construction workers at companies doing work for the federal government are paid as much as three times what their peers outside of government get for the same work, a Washington Examiner review of federal statistics found. TOKYO — President Obama stepped off Air Force One in Japan apparently with an appetite for sushi. After a quick refresh at the Hotel Okura near the U.S. Embassy, Obama joined Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for dinner at a tiny sushi shop in the city’s Ginza neighborhood. They were joined by U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, the White House said. The restaurant — Sukiyabashi Jiro — has earned a rare three-star Michelin rating. Its owner and master chef, 89-year-old Jiro Ono, was featured in the 2011 documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi.” Many regard

As a young reporter, I once expressed shock at how routinely and reflexively government officials lied to the press. A savvy newspaper vet who overheard me just smiled and told me not to take it personally. “Why shouldn’t they lie to you?” the late, great Murray Kempton asked. “They lie to themselves all the time.” His observation came back to me as I read about President Obama’s trip to Asia. He’s going, the White House says, to tell our allies face to face that America is committed more than ever to their security and prosperity. In ordinary times, the trip and

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
