| Dubai-A senior aide to Iran´s supreme leader warned against the overthrow of Syria´s President Bashar al-Assad, saying his fate was a "red line", in one of the Islamic state´s strongest messages of support for the Damascus government. Iran has steadfastly backed Assad´s rule since an uprising against his rule began almost two years ago and regards him as an important part of the axis of opposition against arch-foe Israel. When Iran´s Supreme Leader´s red line intersects with Supreme Executive Order Obama´s red line for Syrian, the demand for change and the supply of change will be in equilibrium. Meaning stalemate.
Assad the Reformer will remain in power, the Russians and Iranians will resupply him with arms and Obama, Pelosi and Kerry will never utter the words Syria, Damascus, Aleppo or Assad again. And, after ridiculing Bush´s policies by returning our ambassador to Syria in another of his failed "resets", Obama will not return our evacuated ambassador to Damascus.

Ali Akbar studied Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins. It looks like he´s close to Khamanei the Chicken. Putins going to do everything he can to keep Assad from falling. A sunni terror state on his doorstep is not an option.

U.S. and Israeli defence chiefs on Friday reaffirmed cooperation to counter threats from Iran and condemned the alledged use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces. U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and his Israeli counterpart Moshe Yaalon reiterated during a meeting that the two allies "will continue to work together to counter threats posed by Iran and remain prepared for a range of contingencies," said Pentagon spokesman George Little in a statement. Millions of Iranians voted to choose a new president on Friday, with prospects unclear whether the country will continue hardline diplomacy especially with the West on nuclear issues.

The British army has more horses than tanks and must stop opposing spending cuts, a senior Treasury minister said today. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. As part of the “evacuation route” plan, they would be able to spirit the President by chopper to one of the carriers where a jet is on standby to take him back to the United States.
