| A Virginia lawmaker who drew gasps from his colleagues when he brandished a borrowed AK-47 during an anti-gun speech Thursday was found guilty in 2002 of committing a vicious 1999 assault, was sanctioned for legal misconduct while prosecuting a rape case, spent six months in jail for contempt of a federal court, and saw his law license revoked in 2003. Democratic Delegate Joseph Morrissey brought the rifle to the floor of the House of Delegates to demonstrate how easy it is to carry firearms in Virginia. Lefties are wired differently.
Perhaps all the highly restrictive laws they prefer should be passed but only applied to them.
Sounds crazy but there is a notion in higher (Liberal)education that no one is really responsible for their actions nor can they be expected to be...therefore the government must have close control over everyone.
If you buy into that notion then all the liberal craziness starts to make sense.

They would not be free unless made and kept so the continued efforts of men better than themselves...men who are not disgusted by guns.

Decent people find guns "disgusting"? Where did that come from. Next time you go to Williamsburg, VA, make it a point to visit the colonial governor´s mansion and stand in awe at the wall decorations in the reception hall.
Our founding fathers felt our natural God-given rights included the right to own and "bear" them - for everyone. They considered this right second only to freedom of religion and speech.
People who are disgusted by firearms simply are not mature adults.

Speak for yourself #5, I find them to be tools and at times very useful. I don´t find hammers and baseball bats disgusting just because some miscreants use them to kill others. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.
