In a worldwide sweep to rid its workplaces of sexually charged materials, the Air Force found 32,216 inappropriate or offensive items, including 40 pornographic magazines at the Air Education and Training Command headquarters at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. In all, the Air Force found 631 pornographic items at more than 100 installations, including magazines, calendars, pictures, videos that intentionally displayed nudity or depicted acts of sexual activity. More than half of those items were discovered at AETC installations. Eleven Air Force bases are in the training command,
Comments: Couple of observations: (1) Is this going to play well with Dear Leader(US) Obama and his Democrat supporters like Larry Flynt? and (2) I guess the only federal job that allows porn is the Security and Exchange Commission.
This is not the most asinine thing I have ever seen the AF do, but it is in the top 10. We expect these kids to kill people in the most gruesome and nightmarish ways possible, yet they can´t look at naked pictures of live people. They can´t have a cigarette or a beer. They cant use offensive language. The only sex they can admit to is the gay kind. And they said I had a bad attitude. 20 years of my life wasted. When our warriors are expected to act like monks we really are doomed.
Unfreaking believable! As another Poster has said,, and I´ll add my Amen. I am glad I spent my years in the Marine Corps 50 years ago... Wonder what Chesty Puller would say about this "NEW" Military? Makes you wonder if the term " Fox Hole" is now offensive?
Thank you for the reminders 15 and 19. I´ve been a practicing Wiccan for 20 years. I was in when they first "allowed" it. When I went into our unit readiness NCO to get my dog tags changed the guy said I was the third one that day.
Hey, are Air Force personnel authorized to have those naked pictures of Obama´s mother? Talk about a conflict of interest.
Gee, everyone acts like this porn stuff is something new. Porn has been on bases for many many years. Prostitutes always hang around outside the base gates.
One base I was stationed in the 70´s did not allow dependents to be there. On the second floor of our barracks there was a bar. Off to one end was another room with a big stack porn films. Since there were no families allowed, the films were referred to as "Training Films" or "Refresher Course".
If they want to clean up the bases, fine but geesh...what´s with all this mock outrage?
AUSTIN — If you want a friend in politics, they say, get a dog. And if you want a political ambassador, you might want to do the same. The top candidates for governor, Democratic Sen. Wendy Davis and Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott, are flying their canine flags as they aim to succeed Gov. Rick Perry — another dog-lover.
As he joined Catholic clergy from both sides of the border calling for a change in U.S. immigration laws, San Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller recalled meeting a child whose recently deported parents were killed in Mexico. In September, Catholic border bishops shared a meal with 50 detained children in El Paso, García-Siller said. They offered harrowing stories about their paths to get into the U.S. and their detentions at the hands of U.S. authorities.
Martin Bashir slur Howard Kurtz It´s no secret that Sarah Palin is mighty steamed at MSNBC and Martin Bashir over his despicable remarks about the abusive treatment he imagines for her. And now she´s doing something about it. The former Alaska governor and Fox News contributor was scheduled to sit down with Matt Lauer for a Christmas season interview. That´s now toast.
Officials say increases could send waterfront property values plummeting. SEGUIN — Owners of lakefront and riverfront homes in Guadalupe County and elsewhere in the nation are facing huge increases in their premiums for federal flood insurance. In a presentation at Tuesday’s session of Guadalupe County Commissioners Court, County Attorney David Willborn described the potential impact of the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act passed by Congress in 2012.
While they’d disagreed in their “summit” meeting, in the aftermath Tip continued to reserve final judgment on the president. Still reluctant to blame him for the harm resulting from his administration’s policies, Tip expressed it this way: “I don’t think he believes his program is hurting anyone because he doesn’t know it. He doesn’t realize the severity of his cuts. If he knew, they wouldn’t go that far.” As for Reagan, he had his own sense of his opponent, and it was one tempered with affection. According to Max Friedersdorf, “We would go in and want the president to fire
AUSTIN — Sen. Wendy Davis´ widely-telegraphed political plans debuted a week ahead of schedule Thursday when sources reported that, as expected, she will run for governor. The Fort Worth senator has told large donors and elected officials that she will seek the office, said a Democrat familiar with her decision. Two additional Democrats said they had received telephone calls from Davis saying she´ll announce for governor. She said her analysis showed the race was winnable, said one.
AUSTIN, Texas — Minority rights groups that sued over voting maps passed by the Texas Legislature in 2011 want the state to pay for a roughly $6 million legal tab. The Republican-drawn maps were thrown out by a San Antonio federal court and never used. Groups that include the Mexican American Legislative Caucus consider that a victory and want reimbursement for the money spent fighting in court
Last summer on his $100 million family tour of Africa, Barack Obama hoped for a priceless photo op with Nelson Mandela, the ailing freedom pioneer who went from prison cell to the presidency of South Africa. Mandela´s family suggested that wouldn’t happen. So, the Obamas did a photo op in Mandela´s former prison cell. Which Obama’s White House quickly tweeted upon word of the icon´s passing at 95. [Skip] But Obama was also caught staring at television coverage of Mandela’s passing, which became Obama’s Photo of the Day.
Hardly a week goes by without Hillary Clinton receiving another award. Last month she was named a “Global Champion” by the International Medical Corps, received the American Patriot Award at the National Defense University Foundation and the Hermandad Award from the Mexican American Leadership Initiative. [Snip] At this rate, if a bunch of elderly left-wing Swedes toss her the Nobel Peace Prize early on, the way they did to Obama, it will barely rate mention among all the other glittering trophies that have been bestowed on a woman whose only actual accomplishment was being married to a crooked governor with
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
Denver - A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday. The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver discriminated against a couple "because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage." The order says the cake-maker must "cease and desist from discriminating" against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay
In February, the Bush family’s personal emails were hacked by Guccifer, a hacker who uncovered photographs of former President George H. W. Bush in a hospital bed and George W. Bush’s oil paintings in the process. It seems Guccifer has struck again, this time targeting former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Library. The hacker has reportedly uncovered doodles of Clinton drawing on what were, at the time, classified documents. Among the doodles is apparently a picture of a penis. The document uncovered is a briefing of the strategic measures the United States could take prior Clinton’s decision to intervene in
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
On Tuesday, The Boston Globe reported that Onyango “Omar” Obama, uncle to President Obama, says that his famous nephew stayed with him while a student at Harvard Law School in the 80s, in contradiction to The White House’s contention that the two had never met. At Thursday’s White House daily briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney confirmed that the President had, in fact, briefly stayed with “his father’s half-brother,” as Carney described Omar Obama, and that no one had actually asked the President about it when the White House initially commented. The 69 year-old Omar Obama has been facing deportation back
