As a 20 yr military guy (active & Reserve), I agree that porn has no room at work.
Also, this AF Base has new recruits, often termed "fresh meat".
Therefore,any sexual harrasment should be punished.

However, read the fine print. They are also going after "living spaces" where one should be able to read adult material.

Same sex activities are OK; looking at Playboy - not so much.

Until I read about the instructors, I thought the Muzlims were offended again.

This is not the most asinine thing I have ever seen the AF do, but it is in the top 10.
We expect these kids to kill people in the most gruesome and nightmarish ways possible, yet they can´t look at naked pictures of live people. They can´t have a cigarette or a beer. They cant use offensive language. The only sex they can admit to is the gay kind.
And they said I had a bad attitude. 20 years of my life wasted.
When our warriors are expected to act like monks we really are doomed.

Thank you for the reminders 15 and 19. I´ve been a practicing Wiccan for 20 years. I was in when they first "allowed" it. When I went into our unit readiness NCO to get my dog tags changed the guy said I was the third one that day.

Gee, everyone acts like this porn stuff is something new. Porn has been on bases for many many years. Prostitutes always hang around outside the base gates.

One base I was stationed in the 70´s did not allow dependents to be there. On the second floor of our barracks there was a bar. Off to one end was another room with a big stack porn films. Since there were no families allowed, the films were referred to as "Training Films" or "Refresher Course".

If they want to clean up the bases, fine but geesh...what´s with all this mock outrage?

How about that place in the front of the airplane where the drivers sit. They´re going to have to have a new name for that. The old one will simply not do in this new age of purity.

For my money they can take all this PRBS and toss it out the nearest window. This is just the latest attempt at castration of our military.

I personally have no use for porn.

But, the last I checked, it is legal to possess porn in this country.

While I have no problem with them not allowing it in offices and other public spaces, to ban it in private residences for use by adults on the base in a direct infringement of the Constitution!!!

As much as I have absolutely no faith in our current government, I will fight any infringement of the Constitution even if it doesn´t effect me directly!!!!!

This is clearly just another case of the NØbama dictatorship nitpicking away at our Constitutional rights.

Fight it now, before NØbama gets to flip the Supreme Court and they begin to rubber stamp every dictatorial action he comes up with!!!
