| On Monday, President Obama will preside over the grand reopening of his administration. It would be altogether fitting if he stepped to the microphone, looked down the mall, and let out a sigh: so many people expecting so much from a government that appears capable of so little. A second inaugural suggests new beginnings, but this one is being bookended by dead-end debates. Gridlock over the fiscal cliff preceded it and gridlock over the debt limit, sequester, and budget will follow. After the election, the same people are in power in all the branches of government and

From the article - ´A second inaugural suggests new beginnings...´
Yo. Bozo-bama. That´s what you promised the *first* go-round - and there´s not a single promise you uttered that you´ve kept - with the possible exception of the promise to ´skyrocket our electricity costs´.
Guess a reprieve from the first four years of utter bull**** is out of the question?

Our problem is: while the Libs openly wage war, our so-called GOP "leaders" won´t even acknowledge that we´re in a war. After all, that would not be in keeping with their "go along to get along" approach to politics. This, boys and girls, is not a prescription for victory.

Here it comes, ...second act, same, ´musical chair,´ characters & PC theatrical illusions in this hollyweird-scripted lefty/lib/dem statist fantasy PLOT to circumvent the U.S. Constitution and will of the American people. ...Strike up the band, the show is about to begin, albiet with little enthusiasm even among 0bama´s dwindling inaugural audience of duped admirers.

Stalin´s reign of terror anyone. Obama wants violence and he will push until he gets it. This is NOT politics as usual. To late to ask why this administration needed to buy billions of rounds of hollow point bullets?

Where does one start with this fool´s rants?
Healthcare is a historic achievement? It´s his legacy, and once he gets it really rolling, he can then concentrate on fixing the economy and the skyrocketing debt?! What is this idiot smoking? Obamacare is precisely what is going to be the final blow to the horrific economy that Obama´s spending and anti-business regulations strangled by the throat.
Nothing short of an actual revolution can "fix" thinking and people like this. I agree with OP. Bring it on...while there´s still something left to save.

Film and television stars hit Republicans on Wednesday for their opposition to abortion rights and free access to birth control. Stanley Tucci, Morena Baccarin, Mehcad Brooks and others appeared in a Web video where they slammed conservative positions on women´s health as retrograde. The international Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) is behind the multi-stage campaign to push President Obama to make women´s health issues a centerpiece of his second term. The group is also raising support for its Bill of Reproductive Rights.

As the old saying goes, beware of Greeks bearing gifts; but as the new saying goes, beware even more of Republicans bearing bribes. In either case, one could get destroyed (or at least corrupted) from the inside by trusting the wrong people. Since 2006, with the beginnings of the breakaway of populist conservatives from the national Republican Party via the Tea Party movement, the GOP has been trying to figure out how to co-opt and capture it once again, just as George W. Bush did with many elements of the conservative movement in the early years of the 21st century.

Major news outlets in recent days have reported that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is raising money from the private sector—including from health-care executives—for use by a private entity that is helping to implement ObamaCare. The entity, Enroll America, is run by a former White House aide. The Washington Post quoted an HHS spokesman last week saying, "We requested additional money [from Congress] . . . but we didn´t receive any additional funding for the exchanges. So we had to come up with Plan B." My immediate thought was: Isn´t "Plan B" what got

Every day brings new revelations about who knew what about the IRS targeting conservative groups during President Obama´s re-election campaign, but the overall impression is of a vast federal bureaucracy run amok. While the White House continues to peddle the story of a driverless train wreck, taxpayers are being treated to a demonstration of the dangers of an unwieldy and unaccountable administrative state. Look, Ma, no hands! In his press events, Mr. Obama has said that while he learned about the Cincinnati rogues on the news, he plans to "hold accountable those who have taken these outrageous actions."

Scandal Watch: New evidence makes it clear that the Internal Revenue Service campaign against conservatives wasn´t the result of two "rogue" agents, but was directed from higher up. The question is, how high up? The claim that a couple of workers in the bowels of an IRS office in Cincinnati managed to block tax-exempt applications from conservative groups for more than two years, while subjecting them to outrageous, intrusive and improper requests for information, started falling apart days ago. Last weekend, the Washington Post quoted a staffer saying that "everything comes from the top" at the IRS.

Scandal: The rest of us must answer IRS questions under threat of perjury, but the agency´s execs can take the Fifth. A Tea Party targeted by the IRS — and the FBI and OSHA and the ATF — thinks that´s unfair. We do too. Lois Lerner, chief of the IRS´ exempt organizations division when the Tea Party and other conservative groups were targeted for their opposition to President Obama, has invoked her Fifth Amendment right not to be questioned on her earlier testimony, her opening statement or any knowledge she may have of who ordered

National Security: The U.S. knows who and where five of the Benghazi terrorists are who murdered Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. The Obama administration´s ideology keeps them free. Remember when, in the summer of 2008, soon-to-be Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama charged that President Bush´s strategy was to "engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9/11"? He was making several serious charges: • Bush, since he was the president, could have lit a fire under investigators to catch the 9/11 terrorist enablers.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.
