Unions Lose Court Battle
to Roll Back Gov. Walker´s
Collective Bargaining Reforms

Breitbart´s Big Government, by John Sexton

A decision issued today by the 7th circuit Court of Appeals says collective bargaining reforms passed by Governor Scott Walker will stand. Act 10 was the controversial reform law passed in Wisconsin in 2011 after weeks of protests and stalling by Democratic members of the legislature. Unions filed suit against the law seeking to have the court overturn it and were partially successful at the district court level. But today the Court of Appeals issued a decision in favor of the law and the Governor. Plaintiffs and cross-appellants, representing seven of Wisconsin’s largest public

Comments:
Excellent! When you see examples like this it just has to confirm that the last election was won by fraud. There are way too many people in this country who want changes made like Scott Walker has done in Wisconsin.

There is sanity in America/Wisconsin.

The ray of hope for the remainder of states with Governors who are leaders. But it takes fortitude and excellent support.

A few rays of hope. Some of states are considering restructuring their income taxes.
Most polls show folks support NRA (and hopefully the 2nd amendment---notwithstanding what idiots like Danny Glover say).
Some Dem Congress critters voice sanity by noting the irrelevance of a gun ban to saving the children.

Pay attention Wisconsin voters. If you ever put the democrats in charge of your state again, they`ll undo every positive thing your governor and legislature has accomplished.

Was wondering, since this was decided by the 7th Circuit.

Does this constitute a precedent?

If so, can other states use this as a precedent in similar action?

Wisconsin sure has been a battle ground state. Glad to see this positive decision by the district court.

The entire "show" in Wisconsin hi-lighted the greed and corruption of unions. Not a pretty picture, they will never regain a good name with the public in the middle or on the Right.

They are lucky it did´nt go to the 9th circuit in CA.

They over rule many state propositions highly approved by the CA voters.

We are trying to be constantly vigilant, #4. I have no explanation for November, when the state went for Obama and Tammy Baldwin, who will win the honor of being the most liberal Senator. But Scott Walker is a Titan among men.

A New, More Sinister IRS Scandal
PJ Media, by J. Christian Adams    Original Article

Yesterday was a significant day in the IRS abuse scandal. The scandal evolved from being about pesky delays in IRS exemption applications to a government conniving with outside interests to put political opponents in prison. Emails obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act reveal Lois Lerner cooking up plans with Justice Department officials to talk about ways to criminally charge conservative groups that are insufficiently quiet. Larry Noble, a law professor now with the Soros-funded Campaign Legal Center, was cited in the emails as someone agitating to jail conservatives who “falsely” report on IRS forms that they

Clemson accused of trying to integrate religion and football Coach Dabo Swinney and his Clemson football program face a blitz again. This time it´s not South Carolina´s Jadeveon Clowney seeking to slam their quarterback into the turf, or even a lighthearted sound-byte from Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier aiming to bringing them down a notch. Instead, it´s an oddly dour out-of-state assault in the form of a complaint filed against the football program by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist rights group from Wisconsin. The FFRF claims that Swinney´s program is "entangled" and "entrenched" in religion. Prayers and Bible studies instituted

JAY CARNEY: I remember we had some discussion during 2012 about well, is it appropriate for the president, the sitting president and candidate, to give interviews with Jon Stewart and others. And the answer was yes, again because the young voters we were trying to reach are more likely to watch The Daily Show than some other news shows. But also, I think if you look back at 2012 and the series of interviews the sitting president of the United States gave, probably the toughest interview he had was with Jon Stewart. Probably the most substantive, challenging interview Barack Obama

Facebook is unveiling a new service to let users know when a friend is close by. The company said it had consulted with privacy advocates in government ahead of Thursday´s launch, but the service nonetheless invites criticism from privacy advocates who have worried about the amount of information the social network captures about its users. People will have to opt in to the new Nearby Friends feature, and Facebook is forcing users to affirmatively choose if they want to share details about their movements. Nothing will change for users who don’t assertively turn it on, Facebook said. Jules Polonetsky, executive director of the

Following in the footsteps of his boss, Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday joined the photosharing site Instagram, posting four pictures. Keeping in line with the current ´cool´ thing to do on Instagram, Biden´S first photo is a selfie in the back of a limousine with President Barack Obama. The tagline reads ´Found a friend to join my first selfie on Instagram´ The other three photos are of Biden speaking behind a podium, him getting off Marine Two, the vice presidential helicopter, in Pittsburgh and a somewhat artsy photograph of a pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses on a table with

GENEVA – Top diplomats from the United States, European Union, Russia and Ukraine reached agreement after marathon talks Thursday on immediate steps to ease the crisis in Ukraine. The tentative agreement puts on hold -- for now at least -- additional economic sanctions the West had prepared to impose on Russia if the talks were fruitless. And that will ease international pressure both on Moscow and nervous European Union nations that depend on Russia for their energy. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called the deal the result of a "good day´s work" but emphasized that the words on paper

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No
