| What did Michelle Obama, who turns 49 today, get for her birthday? Apparently, a whole new hairdo´ and Twitter account. As the First Lady´s office unveiled her new Twitter identity this afternoon, @FLOTUS, the second tweet revealed her new blunt bob, with heavy bangs. Dressed in a burnt-red, elbow-sleeved patterned jersey dress, the 49-year-old showed off her new hairstyle, reminiscent of Katie Holmes´ chop in 2008, when she met with Inaugural citizen co-chair David Hall earlier today. Mrs Obama has always had shoulder length hair, but since her entry into the White House in 2008,

Comments: Sorry, she looks like a transvestite. It will be intolerable having to look at this hateful woman for four more years.

Hoo boy, that is one unflattering hairdon´t. Her previous do was much better. Although I would appreciate it if she would grow it out long enough so we don´t have to look at her arms!

Tiresome nonsense. She is ugly because of her poor attitude, sense on entitlement coupled with an uneasiness knowing that she has been given a Princeton diploma despite being stupid, a fantastic paying non-job because of her corrupt then-Senator husband, and is surrounded by a thousand well-wishers and sycophants who would be perfectly happy to see her washing the floors (ex. Clintons)but instead pretend she is Jackie O in darkface. Maybe it makes sense that she walks around with an angry expression on her face all the time.

who cares about Michelle´s hair style! What is happening with Fast and Furious and the murder of one of our American citizens. What is happening with the Banghazi affair and why isn´t Hillary being held responsible along with the comander in chief? they answered the phone, the red phone, and then chose to do nothing. The men killed were the grown children of American citizens. Where is the action? Where are the jobs and how come the O hasn´t met with the job committee for over a year?Who cares if Michelle cuts her hair or shaves her head. We have more important issues before us than fashion. Please!

I suspect the reason that she never uses her own hair is she probably fried it permanently with all the chemicals used to straighten black hair. The style is nice, but the only problem is she now actually does resemble James Brown. Kind of unfortunate.

Although White House Chief Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler claims to have learned about the IRS audit scandal only last month, she had three unprecedented one-on-one meetings last year with the Treasury Department’s chief lawyer, who has known about the inspector general’s investigation of the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative nonprofits since at least June 2012. The Treasury lawyer in turn has a long history of extreme left-wing agitation. Christopher J. Meade, Treasury Chief Counsel, met with Ruemmler on September 27th, December 11th, and December 13th, 2012, according to White House Visitor Records requests.

President Barack Obama condemned “in the strongest terms the appalling attack" that killed an off-duty British soldier in a London suburb. “There can be absolutely no justification for such acts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim, the police and security services responding to this horrific act and the communities they serve, and the British people,” Obama said in a statement the White House released Thursday. Obama also reaffirmed the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom.

President Obama is using his national security address today to reject the "Global War on Terror." "Beyond Afghanistan, we must define our effort not as a boundless ‘global war on terror’ – but rather as a series of persistent, targeted efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America. In many cases, this will involve partnerships with other countries. Thousands of Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives fighting extremists. In Yemen, we are supporting security forces that have reclaimed territory

President Barack Obama knows the dangers of not going far enough or fast enough to stop the climate crisis. History will celebrate his decision to lead us toward a clean energy economy that solves climate change and creates long-term, sustainable jobs for Americans. But achieving this awesome goal requires that we reject the TransCanada Corp.’s proposal to build the Keystone XL pipeline, which would cut through the heartland of America. This is a simple decision for a president who supports protecting our climate and creating jobs. Returning our economy to stable growth requires Americans to

What does a murderous jihadist terrorist have to do to get some recognition for his cause? You hack a British soldier to death in broad daylight on a London street while shouting “Allahu akbar” and then “swear by the almighty Allah” that you’ll never stop fighting, and the U.S. broadcast networks still can’t bring themselves to utter a word about Islam. True, the ABC CBS and NBC evening broadcasts called the attack “terrorism,” but for all the information they gave viewers, the attackers might have been Basque separatists or animal rights zealots. Republican Rep. Darrell Issa declared Thursday that the embattled IRS official who refused to testify Wednesday had no right to do so, and is now looking to haul her back before his committee. The chairman of the House oversight committee made the call after consulting with attorneys about IRS official Lois Lerner´s bizarre appearance before the panel on Wednesday. Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division which oversaw the controversial targeting of conservative groups, caused confusion Wednesday morning when she pleaded the Fifth and refused to answer questions -- but also delivered an opening statement in which

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state
