Unfortunately for the liberal Democrat gun control activists the 2nd Amendment does not indicate that they have any right to tell the people that they can no longer own and possess semi-automatic firearms that are in common use, or how many rounds they should have in a deer rifle.

The people of the USA have had the right to keep and bear arms long before the USA was even formed back in 1776, and that right should not be taken away because a few crazy people commit insanely criminal acts. The government should be looking at affective ways to keep guns out of the hands of the criminally insane and not law abiding citizens.

There is TV video footage, up all over the internet, of the police finding and removing the Bushmaster from the trunk of Lanza´s car. It´s easy to find on Youtube. Since Lanza killed himself inside the school, he couldn´t have used the rifle found in his trunk. So why does everyone keep repeating that he used the Bushmaster AR-15? What´s up with that?

Infantry weapons are what the Founding Fathers had in mind, with a mobilized militia (local ad-hoc organizations, run by the local government)fielding an army 10 to 20 times larger than the standing army as an insurance policy against tyranny.

To maybe answer #8: In my county we have two deputies on every shift. Assuming none are in court or otherwise not there. If they handle a call on the far side of the county (where most of the trouble is), it could easily take 20 minutes to get to our side, even with lights and siren and burning rubber.
Its just a fact of life out here.
That´s why we arm ourselves. My gun is never more than a few seconds away. Same with the neighbors. It works pretty well for us.
