The War Against Black Men
National Review Online, by Lee Habeeb

Original Article

The date was January 12, 2013. You probably didn’t hear about this tragedy involving guns and two teenage boys. But this was the headline in the Chicago Tribune: “Boys, 14 and 15, killed in separate shootings Friday.” You didn’t hear about it because such events aren’t news in Chicago. They’re ordinary daily occurrences. As we continue to hear calls for ever-tightening gun laws from the Obama administration, and from states such as New York, it is worth thinking about those headlines in Chicago. And in inner cities all around America, places where strict gun laws are already in place.

Can´t blame this on white people.

How long before Mr. Habeeb is called racist for speaking the truth? Ask Bill Cosby. How long before he is dissed for pointing out the truth about gun and violence? The MSM is already hard at work trying to spin this even as you read it. MSM and lies, two sides of the same coin.

I think there is also a lot of reticence about publishing crimes committed by black people. So, yeah, if a few of those young men and boys in Chicago were gunned down by whites, it would be news, because it wouldn´t make us feel like racists to report it.

We´ll just have to wait until next month to talk about the hundreds of deaths in Chicago. You know, black history month and all....

I have to disagree with #1. It was the white men, starting with FDR that developed and sustained the welfare system that has caused this. Look no further than that. Later on the ´black leaders´ worked to continue it and the result is what we have today. Utter chaos resulting in genocide and bankruptcy.

Look no further than the democrap party for someone to blame.

Those Southside neighborhoods are under the "protection" of Louis Farrakhan.

White Democrat politicians deserve much credit for creating this problem starting with LBJ back in the sixties, but now only African-Americans can rectify it. If they don´t the slaughter will continue and even escalate. Too bad that the Obama´s don´t seem to care themselves about this. They could have done a lot to reduce black crime.

Excellent article.

All inner city schools should have Michael Oher´s "I Beat the Odds" as required reading. He speaks boldly about individual responsibility and the way for young black kids to find a way out of this hell. Excellent book that provides insight for anyone not raised in the inner city about that lifestyle.

any of you have young sons?

Thought so .... this is an absolute outrage ..... these kids just annihilated without reaction .......

why?

this is the prime indictment of the western main stream media, its hypocrisy, its double standard agenda driven/narrative shaping strategy (it is not ´news´ ...see Yahoo Sports) and Academia.

Where is the august UofChicago, NorthwesternU, UofIllinois, DePaulU, LoyolaU, etc.? Because Bill Ayers has captured academia or they are afraid to stand up for any principles of justice ... while so many African-Americna families are herded like sheep to ensure the Rahm Emmanuel voting blocs via Michell Obama´s former father wardhealer model ...... This is the Civil Righrts Act of 1964 all over, except in a reverse kind-of-way ... perversely.

Chicago is the most racially segregated large urban area in Amerika ...... Mike Royko cited this as far back as his classic book "Boss" on Mayor Richard J Daley ...

Where is Thomas Friedman, George Soros, Warren Buffett, Costco, .....not a peep?

A parallel article can be written about rampant fatherlessness being the cause of young black girls getting pregnant by the hundreds of thousands. They are going mad for the lack of childhood masculine affection. And, yes,all of this chaos is the product of social engineering by FDR and LBJ. All of it.

Chicagoland´s violence problem is such an indictment on the Obamas. As the first blacks to enter the WH as First Couple, they really could have made a difference. But like true liberal marxists, they believe that collateral damage is part of the cost of pushing the agenda forward. It also makes me wonder how much of this could be related to all the ´community organizing´ Obama did when he lived there. My heart aches for all the waste of young life going on.

Reply 14 - Posted by: William1, 1/17/2013 9:44:26 AM     (No. 9121854)

Also, blacks assiduously abort themselves. As bad as self-loathing affects whites, the blacks in this country are eagerly and viciously taking this behavior to a new level. Not to mention their slavish support for a fellow bro president.

Reply 15 - Posted by: coldoc, 1/17/2013 10:18:35 AM     (No. 9121903)

Its not a factor of "worth". It is that reporting black criminal behavior conflicts with the media agenda of portraying these hip-hop loving baggy poants wearing cretins as victims.

This is a wonderful article. It is, therefore, a slap in the face of the liberal agenda. Nothing will come in this direction.

Wasn’t Dzhokhar also wounded by the cops at some point? He’s a victim of gun violence too, you know. Am I awake? The event [in Concord, New Hampshire] had people supporting the Mayors Against Illegal Guns movement, founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, reading the names of those “killed with guns” since the Dec. 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary outside their “No More Names” bus… Some of the loudest shouts came when a reader spoke the name of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects who was killed by police during a gunfight. “He’s a terrorist,” several protesters shouted.

Karl Rove, the top political strategist to the Bush administration, said Tuesday that President Obama was right to contend that he was not like former Vice President Dick Cheney in his handling of the National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance programs. “He’s right, he’s not Dick Cheney — Dick Cheney at least had the guts to step up and defend these National Security Agency programs, where the president was sending out underlings in order to defend it himself and then going on a talk radio program, a TV talk program, as he fled the country for the G-8 meeting,”

Today, speaking at the Brandenburg Gate, President Obama paid appropriate tribute to the brave East Germans who rebelled 60 years ago against Communist dictatorship: "Today, 60 years after they rose up against oppression, we remember the East German heroes of June 17th. When the wall finally came down, it was their dreams that were fulfilled." But he drew a strange lesson from their uprising: "Their strength and their passion, their enduring example remind us that for all the power of militaries, for all the authority of governments, it is citizens who choose

Washington -- P. Jeffrey Black bumped up against his bosses in the Federal Air Marshal Service, eventually becoming a whistle-blower and testifying to a closed-door congressional hearing before his retirement in 2010. He had taken a long list of complaints to lawmakers about how the air marshals service was run, ranging from problems keeping marshals on flights to allegations of ineptitude and favoritism by managers. The same year he retired, he appeared in "Please Remove Your Shoes," a documentary critical of the airline security measures travelers endure on every trip. Then came the audit,

Within hours of announcing they were ready to talk peace, the Taliban took credit for killing four more Americans and the government of Afghanistan is backing out of negotiations. Is the whole process of bringing peace to the country doomed to fail? We´re not sure how Taliban leaders expect to forge a "political and peaceful solution" to the war in Afghanistan while continuing military operations against their opponents, but the Taliban has, in fact, taken credit for yesterday´s attack on Bagram Air Base that left four U.S. soliders dead. Their statement earlier on Tuesday on the opening of their diplomatic office

HARRISBURG — Sarah Murnaghan won her chance to get a new lung. After a week-long saga that involved U.S. Sens. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Bob Casey, D-Pa., Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and a federal judge, the 10-year-old girl from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, received the lung that she needed to continue her fight against cystic fibrosis. It’s a sad story, made all the sadder by the fact that Sarah’s parents had to seek out political leaders and public officials to solve a health-care problem that exists, at least in large part, because of federal regulations regarding organ donations.

Both parties constantly make accusations that their rival is engaged in hypocritical, unethical, or illegal behavior. Given the drastic lack of ideological diversity in the American elite media, the general public usually only hears about such accusations against Republicans. Beyond the fact that biased reporting shapes public opinion to favor the left, it may also have an effect on law enforcement. The persistent lies that have been told about right-leaning political groups by leading Democrats, including President Obama himself, may have led to the IRS abuses of power that we’ve heard so much about in recent weeks.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

As NewsBusters reported last week, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called out vulgarian comedian Bill Maher for referring to her Down Syndrome son Trig as "retarded." On ABC´s The View Monday, co-host Barbara Walters astonishingly defended Maher saying, "I don´t think he intended it to be mean-spirited" (video follows with transcript and commentary): WHOOPI GOLDBERG: At a recent standup show in Las Vegas, comedian Bill Maher apparently called Sarah Palin’s five-year-old developmentally-challenged son Trig retarded. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.

The Obamas never miss an opportunity to mingle with the stars and during a two-day trip in Dublin, who better to have lunch with than iconic Irish rocker and philanthropist Bono? First Lady Michelle along with daughters Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, started Tuesday with an hour-long visit to picturesque Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains--but the two girls looked like they would have rather slept in at their luxury hotel. Glendalough is famous for its Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin, the hermit priest.
