first of all, Michelle is Beloved by the Press not the masses. She is a clothes hog, spend thrift(Especially if it is OPM) and loves being on camera. I am so tired of seeing her face everytime I turn on the TV. Enough is enough! I never see an article about Valerie Jarrett who is the most important person in the administration and who was never vetted. BO can´t go to the bathroom without her. This article is fluff.

"her chic fashion style" -- Who writes this stuff. Michelle is a horrid wretch in fashion and style; everything she wears is too small, too flashy, and horribly nonfashionable. I am usually really embarrassed for her and feel bad that we have such an ignorant first lady with no common sense.

Of all the photos I have seen of this woman, the only one where she actually looked good and resembled anything close to a First Lady was the recent Vogue cover. That fushia dress was very nice. The rest of the time she is pictured wearing clothes that look like she either cut up the sofa for dress fabric, or raided her daughter´s closet. Don´t even get me started on the box of kleenex dress she wore to the last inaugural ball. Fashion chic she ain´t.

Slightly off-topic, but I read an excellent piece in the Wall Street Journal a day or two ago about how Michelle Obama could use her very real (and newly earned) influence by moving away from obesity and food to leading an effort to emphasize the importance of a two-parent home for children. This isn´t a black or white or welfare issue, but applies to all layers of society. Too many babies are born out of wedlock, have mothers who have no time for them, are abandoned by uncaring fathers, are isolated from the nurturing environment of an intact family. She won´t do it, of course, because of the influence of the gay lobby, the women´s groups, but it´s a shame. She has a national image now that could be put to real benefit.

So does this mean she wont be co-piloting the Milenium falcon?
