| In a leak that could signal a crossing of President Obama´s "red line" on the increasingly deadly conflict in Syria, the State Department has investigated and concluded that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his military forces used poison gas in a deadly attack on the city of Homs last month, Foreign Policy´s Josh Rogin reported Tuesday evening. Rogin, whose State sources are rarely questioned on the Foggy Bottom beat, got his his scoop from classified department cables: The cable, signed by the U.S. consul general in Istanbul, Scott Frederic Kilner, and sent to State Department headquarters

A big, big war is just what the administration needs to really screw things up. Go to war with Syria and you get Iran, Russia and Israel in the mix. China will probably throw its hat in the ring, too.
This article could just be the beginning of a media propaganda frenzy providing Americans with a pretext to go to war w/ Syria. Beware.

I´m sure Obama will get to the bottom of this, will pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice, just like in Benghazi. Meanwhile, he´ll give Assad another warning, and by gosh, this time he means it!

Let the ragheads fight it out among themselves. The AH in the WH screwed it up by getting involved in the "Arab Spring", and look what happened there! We don´t need to support either side in Syria, because they will stab us in the back anyway. We don´t need any more Benghazi type killings in Damascus.

Obama the Behind will lead us into a war only after he has depleted our remaining military strength. At moment, we have enough combat ready divisions, aircraft and carrier groups to project sufficient force to prevent a conflict. But by 2015-2016, we will be a shadow power, like the UK, Germany and France. That will be when Obama decides to stop moving his red line and commits us to a war of attrition. Could be Syria, post Assad, North Korea, or back to Iraq or Afghanistan. History repeats, but we never know when or where.

Clearly the Bush administration felt it best not to reveal the fact that Syria had those WMD.
Al qaeda is now about to bring down the Assad regime and the entire middle east is in jeopardy.

It doesn´t matter. This syria kerfuffle is just a distraction to assure iran has more time to arm itself and destroy first Israel and then the USA. Everything is in place. And obama is making sure this happens.

There’s a huge red flag in the Benghazi mess, but conservatives are letting the media get away with using a red herring to avoid it. Give the establishment media credit for obstinacy: Once it settles on a standard narrative or explanation for a particular subject, it shows remarkable discipline in explaining away any evidence that contradicts its own approved spin. So it has been with the media’s 250-day old determination to downplay the scandalous nature of the Obama administration’s treatment of its outpost in Benghazi before, during, and after the terrorist attack there that took four American lives.

We hear a lot, these days, about how President Obama is not like Lyndon Johnson and thanks be to heaven for that small mercy. The point seems to be that the president doesn´t know how to arm twist, sweet talk, bribe, and emasculate both friend and enemy (of which he truly had neither) in order to further his agenda. More whistleblowers will emerge shortly in the escalating Benghazi scandal, according to two former U.S. diplomats who spoke with PJ Media Monday afternoon. The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.
