| Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D - NY) applauded his state´s expansion of the current gun control laws on Tuesday telling Breitbart News, "I’m glad New York passed strong legislation. Would I have preferred stronger?—always—without knowing the details of what they did." The passage of the new gun control laws make the New York legislation the strictest in the nation: Bans possession of any high-capacity magazines regardless of when they were made or sold. Only clips able to hold up to seven rounds can be sold in the state. Clips able to hold seven to 10 rounds can be possessed,

Comments: I am simply running out of superlatives to describe these disgusting jerks. I was very unhappy after November 6. It gets worse every day. I´m sure that idiot would feel the same way if his family was in danger and the police were only allowed four shots. s/o Stunning. Just stunning.

The rule of thumb is that the last shot is the one that wins a gun fight. The clips for my Springfield XD-40SW only hold 12. The top drawer next to our bed holds our pistol and 3 loaded clips. Mr Nadler, I´m a good shot at the range when the target is a sheet of paper, if forced to use my weapon to defend my family, I don´t know how steady my hands will be. That is a situation I never want to be in. When I´m forced into that situation, I want to give myself a chance at that last shot.

The gun debate is such a freak show. The dems have no intention of passing anything regarding gun control because they know it hurts them politically. So they use the republicans righteous indignation, outrage and opposition (which they know will prevail) against them at the same time whipping up their leftist base with their "attempt" at passing gun control. Kabuki. And so NOT serious. Jokers. Have they EVER done anything worthwhile? Just askin´...

Nadler must really think very little of his family if he had to defend their lives with just 3 shots...jerk, you keep firing till the target stops moving! Make all the laws you want...I rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 ...

Detachable magazines is not the problem with these high profile killings. They should instead focus on better background checks. Psychiatrists should be allowed to notify authorities if their patient is not sane enough to own guns. And if they really wanted to lower the murder rate in the U.S., put organized crime out of business by making drugs legal. You can´t do that of course because the entire idea is unpopular. (People actually believe the War on Drugs is working.) So, they dick around with magazine size, as if that will solve anything. Meanwhile, the murder rate will continue to grow as the gangs become more and more powerful by selling contraband.

Georgia Mom Shoots Home Invader, Hiding With Her Children
She shot him FIVE TIMES. He walked out of the house, got in his car, and drove off down the street. His attorneys are no doubt, at this very moment, drooling on their briefs.
The awful reality is that outside of Hollywoodland, two to four shots is almost never enough!

I believe this huge, wobbly, Humpty Dumpty like person lost weight a year or two ago. Good for him. I still can´t stand him. He comes home after neighbors call about four shots heard coming from his house. He runs upstairs (he can do that now) and sees blood on the carpet, no perp in sight. Rushes to open the closet to find all but one of his family alive. If only he had loaded the gun with one more bullet.

I´m thinking I heard that single women are the largest new contingent of people applying for concealed carry permits.I guess mace and pepper spray aren´t cutting it.
The foolishness of these laws lies in the rarity of high profile shootings.Nobody would call for the grounding of aircraft if one crashed with kids aboard. Bad things are simply going to happen in random selection in the way the world and nature works.
Liberals just love to pat themselves on the back for doing things that have no practical meaning. What they really want is the headline claiming they care. The left simultaneously cares about obese and starving kids at the same time. How about that for compassion when they never miss a meal themselves.
It´s actually been quite a while since Nadler got gastric bypass and it came with a free lobotomy.

Idiot. 2-4 is clearly "not enough" in many documented cases of police encounters with armed bad guys. Just do some research and see case after case where police fire and hit multiple times, sometimes as many as 17 hits before disabling someone who is able to return fire the entire time.

Several years ago I went through the NRA Personal Protection program. At the firing range the lady next to me was using a Lady Smith 38 caliber 5-shot revolver. The first firing station was six feet from the target, which was basically shaped as a human torso with a head. She missed the entire target with all 5 shots.
In a real life situation, do you think she would agree that 4 - 6 rounds would be enough ?

We now know that the Justice Department kept exceptionally close tabs on Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010, following his trips in and out of the State Department, hacking his personal emails and phone calls. Normal newsgathering activities are being treated as criminal activities by the White House. But consider what the same White House had to say about Fox News back in 2009. You might remember the concerted effort by White House officials to brand the right-leaning Fox News as a bogus news outlet, unworthy of attention.

Huma Abedin, former Secretary of State Hillary’s Clinton’s long time aide with extensive ties to Muslim Brotherhood groups, was granted an arrangement by the State Department to do outside consulting work, even as she remained a top advisor in the Department. Abedin did not disclose either the arrangement, or how much she earned from it, on her financial report, despite a requirement that public officials must disclose significant sources of income. Clinton advisor Philippe Reines contended she was under no obligation to do so. Abedin, who has served Clinton for 15 years, became a “special government employee”

A federal judge in Washington ruled in 2010 that the Justice Department was not required by law to notify Fox reporter James Rosen that prosecutors had obtained his emails in connection with an investigation into a leak about North Korean plans to test a nuclear weapon. In September 2010, Chief U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth overruled the conclusion of federal magistrate John Facciola that Rosen—whose Gmail account was searched—was entitled by law to be informed. Prosecutors contended that under the statute used to get Rosen´s emails, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, they were not

The Department of Justice released a statement moments ago amid reports of the department obtaining a subpoena in order to access Fox News reporter James Rosen´s personal emails. "Leaks of classified information to the press can pose a serious risk of harm to our national security and it is important that we pursue these matters using appropriate law enforcement tools. Such investigations and prosecutions, including this particular case, follow all applicable laws, regulations, and longstanding Department of Justice policies intended to safeguard the First Amendment interests of the press in reporting the news and the public in receiving it."

As head of the FBI counterterrorism division, Steinbach oversaw the investigation into the mass murder at Texas Army base. Steinbach made this claim during an unclassified counterterrorism briefing on Capitol Hill. “Do you guys teach your agents that Fort Hood was workplace violence?” one staffer asked.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
