| RUSH: The media are just salivating today. Politico, the Washington Post, the New York Times. Folks, they can barely keep their pants up, they are so excited. (interruption) Yeah. (sigh) They might not laugh at that, either. Yeah, some of them are wearing pants. They´re all excited over Biden´s proposals. Nineteen proposals to try to limit the availability of guns. Nineteen proposals to get around the Second Amendment. Many of these 19 proposals will come via executive order -- and if they do, they will be illegal. Executive orders are not intended to be used this way.

How low can this man go? Using children to make a point seems to be a norm for the liberals. Use the emotional appeal never mind the Constitution or facts. Obama speaks. I´ll not watch. I turn the TV off.

Saddam Hussein used a bunch of brit children as props in a 1990 TV interview. He had these kids and their families kept in the royal palace (?) as human shields, likely to prevent bombing of his residence (like Kaddafi was bombed by Reagan).
The Hussein allusion is genius.

The senior Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee said President Obama´s national security speech will be "viewed by terrorists as a victory." Sen. As you know, she showed up yesterday and said, (impression), "I didn´t do it! I didn´t do it! Nobody saw me do anything. You can´t prove anything! I didn´t do it, had nothing to do with it," and then refused to say anything more under questioning, invoking her Fifth Amendment. At which point, Trey Gowdy of South Carolina said, "You can´t do that.

RUSH: Well, I haven´t been watching it but Cookie just sent me a note saying that Obama is out ripping into Bush again. We´re rolling on this, and we´ll have it in due course. But he is making a speech somewhere. He´s talking about Osama Bin Laden and most of his top lieutenants are dead. "The threat has shifted and evolved from one that came to us on 9/11." One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.

The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
