| Steve Kerrigan, head honcho for the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee, has a message for carping congressmen, donors and Obama supporters who’ve heard there’s only one official inaugural ball this year and are afraid they won’t make the cut. It’s a mirage. One of the best-kept secrets in town is that the one public inaugural ball will be a doozy, with upward of 40,000 partying in a single bacchanalia under one roof at the Washington Convention Center. It’s the equivalent of six or seven traditional inaugural balls such as those held four years ago.
|
Comments: "While we´re lyin´ about everythin´ else, we might as well lie about the inauguration..." (Barack Obama)
Only a Dem would be fool enough to think that a ball for 40,000 would be a good idea. More like a rave?
All smoke and mirrors and mendacity to fool the small people into thinking that they are cutting back in light of the dire economic times he built.

But wait...
Like everything else they do, they have no clue as to how - or whether - they´ll even pay for it:
FTA:
“When isn’t money a problem?” said Kerrigan, who has become extremely skilled at dodging funding questions. “Inaugurals are tricky times. Right after the election, right after the holidays.”
One of his favorite deflections: “We’re on track.”
But PIC had hoped to raise about $40 million to $50 million in private funds for this scaled-down inaugural — $53 million was raised in 2009 — and sources say it has fallen far short of that goal. It is offering breathtaking $1 million corporate packages, which, according to The Associated Press, provide ball tickets, invitations to the candlelight dinner, prime seating for the swearing-in, a meeting with the president’s finance team and other perks. But sources say they aren’t flying off the shelves. So far the PIC has posted the names of about 1,000 donors — individual and corporate — but with no indication of their donation amounts. By this time four years ago, about 20,000 donors had been revealed. So far, there are only eight businesses on the list.
“The business community isn’t going to step up after feeling disregarded by this administration,” said one Democratic activist with close ties to the business community. “Not going to happen.”
Duh.

Of course 0bama´s inauguration would be big and flashy; just like Mooch´s clothes, their lavish and expensive vacations (all at tax payer´s expense), and everything they do. It is always big and flashy, because 0bama and Mooch are not paying for it. The Greek Columns were just the warmup for these two grifters.

Tramp Beyonce will put on her clothes to sing the National Anthem, then take them off again to perform at the ball.
Mercifully Mooch will (probably) stay clothed. She has been spied perusing tent catalogs.

To thrill his base he should make a grand entrance with a long flowing cape like Liberace. There should be sequins and lip gloss and silver glitter in his hair. There should be semi-nude male dancers from SanFrancisco. Spare no expense. Just for show there should be American flags in abundance. They make good photo back drops for democrat make believe patriots.

President Obama’s speech at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin today was a stage director’s nightmare. The president was sweating profusely – you could see the outlines of his undershirt. There were ghostly reflections off the protective glass in front of him. And instead of heaving throngs of admirers, Obama addressed 6,000 or so invited guests. And something was wrong with TOTUS! Obama was peering down at his script instead of using his trusty teleprompter. We’re not accustomed anymore to seeing our leaders glance toward the lectern to read, so the president came off looking as if he couldn’t remember

The Florida Civil Rights Association announced Tuesday that it is representing a dismissed juror who was barred from the Seminole County Courthouse until after the George Zimmerman trial concludes. The association says Jerry Counelis, former prospective juror E-7, claims his civil rights were violated during jury selection and alleges that he was defamed by Zimmerman´s attorney Mark O´Mara. Counelis told attorneys during questioning last week in Zimmerman´s second-degree murder trial that he had no opinion about whether Zimmerman was guilty(Snip)But after Counelis admitted to Seminole Circuit Judge Debra S. MSNBC host and Obama sycophant Chris Matthews blamed the sun for spoiling the president’s speech in Berlin today. “I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined,” Matthews said immediately after the speech. “I think he was really struggling with the text there.” Speaking behind a glass bulletproof shield, Obama appeared to be using the text of the speech rather than reading off of teleprompters.

ARDMORE, Pa. — Phil Mickelson is in a familiar position once again at the U.S. Open — to either finally close out a win in a tournament he truly cherishes or to suffer yet another maddening close call. Mickelson, a four-time major champion but the only player to finish runner-up five times in the U.S. Open, shot even-par 70 Saturday in the third round of the U.S. Open at unyielding Merion Golf Club and has a one-shot lead heading into Sunday´s final round.

LOS ANGELES — A farewell note left behind by the Santa Monica gunman expressed remorse for the killing of his father and brother but provided no explanation for the rampage that left them and three others dead. Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks said that the three- to four-page handwritten note was found on John Zawahri´s body (Snip)Zawahri apparently built his own .223-caliber assault rifle, using it to shoot his father and brother before he set fire to their family home, officials said earlier Thursday.

When President Obama makes his first extended trip to sub-Saharan Africa this month, the federal agencies charged with keeping him safe won’t be taking any chances. Hundreds of U.S. Secret Service agents will be dispatched to secure facilities in Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania. A Navy aircraft carrier or amphibious ship, with a fully staffed medical trauma center, will be stationed offshore in case of an emergency. Military cargo planes will airlift in 56 support vehicles, including 14 limousines and three trucks loaded with sheets of bulletproof glass to cover the windows of the hotels

It first begins with a peculiar, bitter smell.(Snip)Get sufficiently exposed, and you may faint or even die. These are the effects of pepper spray, the chemical that was used by the Turkish police against peaceful sit-in protesters who tried to protect one of Istanbul’s few remaining green spaces against a controversial reconstruction plan in Taksim Square on May 28. Undercover police then proceeded to set fire to the tents left behind by escaping protesters — with all their belongings in them — despite the protesters’ pleas. For many people, this was the last drop in the glass, which

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
