| A group of anti-Israel activists and journalists are engaged in a coordinated campaign to stifle criticism of controversial secretary of defense nominee Chuck Hagel by attacking the former Republican senator’s critics, according to emails obtained by the Free Beacon. Fenton communications chief executive officer David Fenton, the Atlantic’s national correspondent James Fallows, former diplomat Charles ‘Chas’ Freeman, Just Foreign Policy director Robert Naiman, and American Conservative founding editor Scott McConnell participated in a recent email exchange dedicated to silencing Hagel’s critics, the emails reveal. These anti_Israel contingents pushing for Hagel tells you a lot about why they want him.I´m sure there´s some pro Iranian forces that want him also.In a sane world,these would be red flags but not under the Obama regime.
If republican senators cave on this guy,it´ll be a huge disgrace to the party.I really don´t care about Kerry or Lew but Hagel is really dangerous.

First, the smears are enough, for me, to say a definite ´No´.
Second, re Kerry? I remember all to well his past. I don´t give a flip about his aspirations. For all I care, you can box him up and send him back to the ´nam hole he crawled out of.

Hagel is a distraction.
The real evil is Brennan at CIA.
He let OBL go during Clinton´s presidency despite offers from the Sudan to hand him over.
This set up 9/11,
Now the Administration is arming Mexican drug cartels and AQ at Benghazi and trying to cover up both.
He doesn´t believe then are terrorists .
Jerusalem is "Quds" - Brennan would sell out Israel.

I have to agree with 3. Brennan is a danger to this country.

Detecting and preventing Stasi agents from penetrating the security of U.S. diplomatic facilities in West Germany was a 24-7 undertaking. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
