Levin: If Obama sidesteps
Congress on debt ceiling,
´no choice´ but impeachment

On his Monday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin said that if President Barack Obama sidesteps Congress on the debt ceiling fight and attacks the Congress’ constitutionally enumerated “core power” – that is control over spending and taxing — through executive action, Congress will have “no choice” but impeachment. Levin explained that if unilateral action by the White House — which White House spokesman Jay Carney ruled out — were to happen, it would infringe on Congress’ “core power” and should be punished with impeachment. “Now, if Obama unilaterally acts — and I think there’s a fan-dance going on here

Comments:
All this talk about impeachment is coming fast on the verge of his second term.

Maybe that´ll at least put the administration on warning for overstepping its bounds, but that appears unlikely.

You could have a video of Obama choking Mother Theresa and it wouldn´t be grounds for impeachment.Obama is unimpeachable.

Obama supporters couldn´t care less about the way the Constitution is supposed to work and they would gladly accept any sidestepping of congress to get his way.

I think the GOP plan is to pass a budget, with cuts and tie it to the debt ceiling, then punt it off to the senate zombies, led by bribester,Dingy Harry.

And all this from a guy who is not legally eligible to be POTUS (certainly not a Natural Born Citizen), and is most likely an Illegal Alien. Talk about a trojan horse inside the gates.

Since he entered office in 08 BO has already committed numerous impeachable offenses.

But he could commit mass murder and would not be impeached because if any one attempted to commence impeachment proceedings, that person would be labled a racist...which is now the most terrifying word in the English language and a career killer.

We have a Democrat majority in the Senate. The House can vote to impeach but the Senate will not prosecute. The only way to oust this loser is to take back the Senate in 2014 and to do it with patriotic conservatives.

Washington Democrats are scared of and intimidated by this street thug from Chicago. This punk belongs in the Cook County jail. They need to neuter this pisant now or face political suicide. Threaten him with impeachment. Not an inauguration.

Mark is right of course if Congress understood and believed in the Constitution. But neither party goes by the Constitution anymore. It´s all about how much Federal money (pork) can I get for my district or my state. Both parties are addicted to spending. Impeachment is a waste of time look what happened to Clinton. The Senate Democrats will support Obama no matter what violation of the Constitution he commits. The Federal courts are worthless as well look what Roberts did for Obamacare! We´re headed for a financial collapse like Greece it´s only a matter of time we have already gone off the cliff.

Immediately following President Barack Obama’s remarks on Wednesday about the current scandal embroiling the Internal Revenue Service, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted by downplaying the gesture. “That was a holding operation,” Krauthammer said. “That was the absolute minimum he could have done. He relieves one person. He obviously had to. He had to relieve at least one person. And he chose, of course , the acting commissioner. But, I would have expected more. The other actions he announced are up to now meaningless. Obama and this administration have said a hundred times they’re going to

George Will joined the chorus talking about the prospect of impeachment for President Barack Obama after last week’s admission from the Internal Revenue Service that it had targeted groups with the phrases “tea party” or “patriot” in their tax-exempt applications for extra audits . On Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” Will proposed a scenario wherein the Bush administration had targeted groups with the word “progressive” in their names and concluded the situation would be much different in terms of expressions of outrage. “Mr. Hicks, when he was in Libya, said his jaw dropped

Senior Fox News political analyst Brit Hume laid out why this week’s testimony on last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya could be problematic for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Hume, speaking on Tuesday’s broadcast of “America Live,” said there is no feasible way for her to escape any responsibility since she had to be involved in the crafting of the talking points that came out after the attack that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including then-U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. "There’s really no way for her to escape responsibility for this if this

Back in the 1980s, the country faced a familiar dilemma to the one it faces today — the border was insecure and too many illegal immigrants had moved into the United States. At the time, the proposed solution was a bill crafted by then Wyoming Republican Sen. Alan Simpson and Kentucky Democratic Rep. Romano Mazzoli. Signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1986, it instantly granted 3 million illegal immigrants legal status. Yet a little over 30 years later the problem has returned, with more than 11 million illegal immigrants now in the United States.

“The O’Reilly Factor” host Bill O’Reilly on Thursday criticized those seeking to downplay the role of Islamic extremism in the Boston Marathon bombings. “There is no question that many on the left are very disappointed the two suspects in the terror bombing are Muslim,” O’Reilly said. “And it is sad to say that many in the Muslim world will never believe the Tsarnaev brothers committed the atrocity.” O’Reilly referred specifically to comments by Zubeidat Tsarnev, the mother of suspected Boston Marathon bombers Dzohkhar and Tamerlan Tsarnev. “Now, there is nothing on Earth that can make that woman accept reality

Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says the “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill will, if passed, threaten national security and destroy the Republican Party’s ability to compete on a national level. Buchanan, author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” told radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday that passing a “blanket pardon” of illegal immigrants would be “an act of madness,” particularly in the wake of last week’s terrorist attacks in Boston. “It’s been one week since something like 178 to 180 Americans — three of them murdered — but 178 injured, maimed and wounded by two

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough voiced his agreement with Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, who on Sunday’s “Face the Nation” on CBS questioned those Republicans who are threatening a filibuster on pending gun control legislation. Scarborough said such a filibuster would be an example of the GOP putting “rapists’ rights ahead over parents’ rights.” “[I] tell you what, Richard Haass, I saw John McCain there,” Scarborough said. “And I’m hopeful. Because, you know, there are a lot of guys out there in the Senate and they are going out because it’s a free shot.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care?
