| Dell Inc., the personal-computer maker that lost almost a third of its value last year, is in buyout talks with private-equity firms, two people with knowledge of the matter said. Round Rock, Texas-based Dell is discussing going private with at least two firms, said one of the people, who declined to be identified because the talks are private. The discussions are preliminary and could fall apart because the firms may not be able to line up the needed financing or resolve how to exit the investment in the future, the people said. In 1997, Michael Dell said that if he were put in charge of Apple, ´´I´d shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders.´´ Apple now, with the iPhone alone, makes more money (both gross and profit) than Microsoft makes from everything it does. You could probably add in Dell to Microsoft and it would still be true. My, how times have changed!

I´m a big fan of dell computers and I hate to see them lose market share.Dell´s are reasonably priced,unlike Apple which gouges their buyers.
But anyway the fact is PC´s are on their way out and that´s Dell´s biggest problem.But yeah,if you´re a big fan of facebook or twitter you have to keep up with what somebody´s making for dinner or what movie their watching.Can´t drag a PC around to keep up.

Dell inexpensive? Hardly, load it up right and it´s just as expensive as an Apple computer. The lower price of the basic Dell is a result of cheap construction and inferior internal components.

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
